O&B Athens Boutique Hotel

Spent 3 nights here in November. Friendly attentive staff and good breakfast to start the day. The rooms are ok with a little wear and tear but nothing major. Hotel is in a great location, a short walk from all main attractions and tourist areas. Good priced hotel for location and would stay again if in Athens

I stayed at O&B Athens Boutique Hotel in July and had several issues. The door fell off its rail, making it impossible to close and letting in all the noise from the busy street. The room also had no sockets near the bed, so I had to charge my devices from the opposite side of the room. Given the price of £100, the room didn’t feel worth it. The staff was polite and initially reached out by phone to apologize, offering a full refund (which I declined). They also offered a 3-night stay in their suite as compensation, which I appreciated at the time. However, four months later, when I tried to book my promised stay for December, my emails went unanswered. Despite seeing rooms available online, I received no response. The hotel went from offering apologies and compensation to completely ignoring my requests. Guests deserve honesty and reliability, not false promises. Based on my experience, I’d advise potential guests to look elsewhere. It’s not worth the money, and the hotel has shown little regard for following through on its commitments.

We liked the central location which is walking distance to the Agora and the Plaza with lots of dining options. Breakfast bar was delightful. Staff was very kind and helpful with print outs documents for our cruise journey. We loved Dion who packed our breakfast for our tour journey to Meteora. Rooms were decent. We stayed 4 nights and most of the time we were on tour so it is good to rest in a clean suite after long days of exploring. We will definetely come back!

Fabulous weekend in Athens, we were upgraded to Acropolis petit view suite on arrival, the view was amazing, and we enjoyed a great breakfast|The hotel was a great find! just on the edge of the Psyri neighborhood, which was lively and vibrant, convenient and felt safe, close to many historical sites ie Ancient agora of Athens, National garden, Hadrians library, Tower of winds, Syntagma Square for changing of the guards and many more all within easy access.|Joined a walking tour which was very informative and enjoyable, had lunch with some new fellow travellers and then on to the acropolis museum

We booked this hotel as part of a BA holiday and was slightly concerned given some of the reviews we had read on the noise and smell. Our room included continental breakfast, which had everything you needed and included a few hot items that changed slightly on a daily basis. On one night we did experience noise due to work taking place on a nearby street (can’t blame the hotel for that) you are in the city centre so some noise is to be expected other nights out of the five were fine.

We stayed one night in a double room and one night in the petite suite. Overall, we had a very poor experience. This was chiefly because of our stay in the petite suite, which we took as a splurge. When we moved into the room there was no running water. We raised this with reception and were assured it was because of a ‘technical problem’ that was receiving attention. When we returned to the hotel nothing had changed. After complaining again, the receptionist was able to find a way to get the (tepid) hot water running. The restoration of hot water was then demonstrated to us as if that solved the problem - even though the toilet still wouldn’t flush. (We had been reduced to using water from the kettle - not pleasant.) We said this wasn’t acceptable and were eventually able to secure use of a toilet in another room on the floor below and a promise of a full refund (given via the manager over the phone and confirmed by him in person the next morning). Despite several follow-up emails and telephone calls (including written assurances the refund was being processed) no refund has been paid. (We should have read the reviews before booking - I see others have also reported this experience.) Even putting to one side the hotel’s failure to deliver an essential component of a decent hotel stay - consistent running water and a flushing toilet - we weren’t overly impressed. There was water trickling through the corridor ceiling the first day we checked in (fixed after we raised with reception). For the price, the double room was comfortable without being great. The petite suite did indeed have acropolis views, but again hardly warranted the ‘boutique’ tag the hotel has given itself. The room was also showing signs of wear (e.g. scuffed floors). The hotel is well located and the breakfast decent. Would definitely not stay again at this hotel though - there are better options in Athens at this price point and the failure to follow through on the promised refund left a sour taste in our mouths.

It was wonderful to have such a quiet hotel so close to Monasteraki Square. There is not much to the hotel, which has a very small lobby and a dining area where a nice breakfast buffet is served every morning. The staff is amazing though, super friendly and always trying to be helpful. Nice recommendations for restaurants from the front desk. Our room was small, but quite ample and the shower was nice with great water pressure. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is very nice and the location is very helpful to explore the city. Also the service is really friendly and polite. The rooms were great and the food was very tasty. Overall the experience were the best!
