"Long-running Sonoma County favorite Oakville Grocery is closing one of its stores at the end of this month. After 25 years, the Healdsburg location at 124 Matheson Street will close as of Sunday, November 26, SFGATE reports. "We love this beautiful little market and its gorgeous selection of prepared goods. It's a great stop if you want to bring home gifts to friends who aren't big drinkers, and the convenient location on the way into Healdsburg makes it an easy spot to pick up a sandwich (we like the Muffaletta or the fried chicken) on your way to a winery. There's also a location in Oakville along the St. Helena Highway."

Omg the must stop place for lunch when in the area! We were on bikes touring Sonoma and we were starving; never expected the awesome curried chicken salad sandwich!!! The bar area was worth peeking at … like you had been thrown back 40 years… so cool! The staff was so friendly and made great suggestions to my friends!!

Good sandwich, and salads. Very decent selection of local wines and cheese. Great treats. Found these Italian lemon cookies, boy these bring back some good memories!

Excellent little wine, cheese, cured meats, and small plate meals like meat and gruyere sandwiches that sits with a nice view of the park. It was a great place to stop for a coffee and pastries as well.

Stopped in here on a whim, didn't have time to sit down and eat but wanted some quality food. I ordered the chicken sandwich to the left on this picture. Service was friendly and efficient. Would have preferred a bit more salt on this sandwich but it was good and an overall nice stop. Will stop again

Great beer and wine selection, one do the only places downtown where you can grab breakfast and coffee and it isn’t too crowded. Pricey but what do you expect, rent is likely very high here.
