"San Juan may seem small for a capital city, but there’s no need to worry if you’re a night owl, thanks to the abundant nightlife options. Many hotels have live music and dancing, and the capital has plenty of clubs. Not sure where to go? Make a beeline to a longtime favorite: the Nuyorican in Old San Juan. It’s a small, crowded dive of a spot, where drinks are served unfussily in plastic cups, but craft cocktails aren’t the draw here. The live music—and the incredible dancing—are what have locals and visitors “breaking night” at the Nuyorican. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know the moves; someone will inevitably offer you their hand. Don’t be intimidated; the fun is giving the steps a try and immersing yourself in the moment."

Fun atmosphere and free salsa lessons with your cover if you get there around 930. The band was fantastic and fun to dance to. There were some amazing local salsa dancers in there that were amazing to watch as well.

My wife and I love to salsa dance but this one is not it. The dance floor is like dancing in a curved hallway. The bartender was an amateur left all alone while his people just wandered between the back and the front staring at the line of patrons. The house band was good but they played for an hour. An hour, with a packed house. We showed up at 11:30 so we got 30 minutes of music for our cover. Nice. I'm not gonna lie and say I've been to clubs all over San Juan, but I'm sure there are better places than this.

One of the best places to go salsa dancing. Usually have a live orchestra playing. There's a cover charge when they have live music. Although lately it is so full that it is uncomfortable and people barely know how to conserve their space.

Great salsa bar in old San Juan. We went on a Friday night and they had a live band playing salsa. There were also some people dancing, so do come around if you enjoy dancing or listening to salsa.

Great live band, went on a Wednesday. Definitely is better to go later on in the night . Definitely will see locals there as well as an older crowd . Don't expect any reggaeton just salsa!

please learn some salsa before going here - lots of hot pro dancers will be making you feel like a clumsy oaf otherwise. Cheap drinks, awesome music, beautiful people, all night dancing. The only bad part was the extra powerful Air conditioning - the draft was too strong in certain spots.
