Google
Great menu recommendations and execution of the food. It looked and tasted great! Portion sizes were manageable and mains really quality good and did justice for the wait. Downside was to expect a huge crowd on the weekend lunch hours resulting in delays on food service

Google
Great spot with a lively atmosphere. We noticed large tour groups here. The food was good. I felt the fries are cut too short. A bit windy so food got cold quickly. Looking forward to going back to try other dishes.

I know I know, a vegetarian in a fish shop is never ideal. But we got some drinks and a bowl of chips and enjoyed the beautiful view and the sun. Not much veggie on the menu but it was still a cool vibe.

Came here to celebrate a friends birthday. Views were spectacular as the restaurant is right on the beach. It’s inside the RSL building so can be a bit confusing but it’s on the street level and all seating are indoors. Food was lovely - lots of fish dishes as expected from the name of the restaurant. The tuna crudo and fish pie were excellent but the grilled fish of the day was a bit dry and bland. Desserts were both favourites. Service pretty slow giving how many staff were walking around but they appeared to have set sections even though one of them was cleaning up an empty table whilst we waited almost 10mins to give our orders.

In addition to exquisite, delicious food, the staff service is really very good, because of the sea breeze Champagne cup of drinks were flying up the menu blew over, the waiter immediately said sorry for that help me collect and lift the clean table; did not think that 5 minutes later the clerk re-up a new drink to me!

Google
Professional service and overall good and varied food. Decent views of Bondi beach too. Very accommodating for a group of 5 plus infant and stroller. Skip the sashimi and poke bowl, though, those weren't good, but not enough to detract from the rest of the meal.

Had lunch here for Mother’s Day and ate the set menu. Every dish was delicious and the serving sizes were extremely generous. Service was seamless and made the experience even more enjoyable. The whole lunch experience made my mum’s day. Thank you!

Can’t say more. Everything in this restaurant is spectacular, except the noise of people in busy days and rush hours. We absolutely loved everything there. Drinks and cocktails are Devine. This place was the only restaurant that we dined twice during our stay. ✨👌🏻

Yelp
Everything was absolutely amazing. Started with the fish fritters and they were so fluffy and delicious didnt take a photo when they first touched down the Fish & Chips were also a delicacy very lightly battered & fluffy. The tarter sauce had capers in it which was a great touch. The pasta was to DIE for. Perfectly al dente and the sauce All shared dished and a great ambience and views on Bondi Beach, Joel was our server and made the recommendations. 10/10 Nothing Beats Fish for sure thank you Joel!!

Yelp
Fresh, tasty seafood with great ocean views - what more can you ask for? All the fish dishes were good, with the grilled barramundi being my favorite and the fish tacos a close second.

Catherine Durkin R.

Yelp
I finally got to try the barramundi fish, a tasty filet with a lemon, butter sauce. A nice, delicate flavor. My partner's NBF burger tasted almost exactly like a Filet-o-Fish (which isn't awful but not worth the price) and my mimosita was MAYBE a teaspoon full. Again, not worth the price. And the host was a snob.

J L.

Yelp
Great location, decent food, great service. But you are primarily going here for the location. Parking can be a bit challenging, but as to be expected due to its location. Greeted right away, and sat immediately. The host was friendly. Food was okay. Nothing special, so if you're looking for a great meal, I would try somewhere away from the beach area. Pricing was average. Overall we had a great experience here.

Andrew C.

Yelp
Views from this establish was excellent. Food and drinks for lunch was a great way to kickoff this trip. Sashimi platter was very fresh while the chips were appetizing.

Pam S.

Yelp
Woo hoo!!! Worth venturing out into a cold and very windy night tonight. Special deal 'fish pie' for two. So delicious that words escape me...and that says something right there! There wasn't anything on the menu that I wouldn't have tried though the prices are on the high side. Excellent service from the moment we walked the door. My dining companion had made a booking online but it disappeared by the time we got there. No worries...we were seated immediately. Shay was our server and he was attentive and wonderful! I'm going to ask for him next time! And there will definitely be a next time!!! Street metered parking. Beautiful nighttime views. And of course, excellent food! North Bondi Fish has it all! Go...go now!!!

Yelp
Incredible views. Stellar location. Great menu. Swift and courteous service. Delectable dishes. Loved them all. Will go back in a heart beat.

Yelp
The name of the place says it all. Bondi is the Mecca of snap, pop and sizzle. Here, there were plenty of 20 something's showing plenty of everything. At 8:30 the House was still turning away non-booked wannabe' s who were willing to wait 1 1/2 hours for a seat at the bar. The restaurant has a killer view of Bondi Beach but who cares when you are face down on a board of fish chartcuterie? Also, there is absolutely no place to park. I guess that's why God created Uber. I had my fingers crossed that others who had gone before me and touted the place as terrific were correct. They were. I only noticed at the end of the meal that the walls were painted a lively and jarring aqua and therefore feeling like a fish in an aqaurium was actually pleasant. Even the slow ratchetting up of the rock loop didn't keep me from grabbing things with both hands. Don't get any foolish ideas. I'm talking about the food. "I'll have a French Lesson", I said. One could get slapped for this request elsewhere, however here it is a fine cocktail. Oui oui said the French waiter. Makers Mark, Liquer de Mure (blackberry), lemon juice, all in a large highball glass so icy I dropped the first on the floor. The moral: both hands like a glass of milk with cookies after school. If I'd been drinking these after school, I'd still be in third grade. At the risk of being presumptuous, I'm ordering you to order the Fish Charcuterie Board. It is unique and creative and truly something special. Kingfish Pastrami, Cold Cured Salmon with Shaved Beetroot and Radishes, Spicy Baby Shrimp Ceviche, Marinated Marlin, Salt Cod Salad, Cornichon and Hot English Mustard. It was so good I wished I was dining alone. The small minus was that it only came with four small grilled sourdough toast points requiring us to engage in stringent bite budgeting, although I just know that if I had asked for more bread it would have been delivered without arguement, but we were all too busy jockeyingf for Charcuterie position to bother hailing the waiter. Having inhaled that, I wanted the Soft Shell Crab Sliders and the Baja Style Fish tacos so heroically large they justified the $11 per taco ticket. Out of control I ordered the Fish and Chips. This is made with the fish of the day and on my day it John Dory. Three shoe sized pieces of beautifully fried fish resting on a small mountain of perfectly done French Fries. (Chips if you are of Commonwealth descent.) EIther way, like with my first highschool girlfriend, I couldn't keep my hands to myself. A dab of house made tartar sauce (on the fish, not the girlfriend), a wedge of lemon, a pitcher of ice cold Dry Reisling Sangria elevated that main to a religious experience. Somewhere on the table I found a plate of Cabbage Slaw with a dusting of grated Parmesan Cheese and that quelled Mum's voice in my ear insisting I eat my vegetables. Grilled Ocean Trout, and Broiled Snapper were also done as good as fish must be done. I wish I had been sired by a camel and born with three stomachs. I suppose all it really means is that I'll have to return and go fishing at North Bondi Fish Co. again. It's guaranteed to catch something tasty .

Yelp
Great location and terrific service to non-members. It was a busy lunchtime when I arrived with a large group of probably 50 or 60 all arriving at about the same time. The staff and kitchen must have been overwhelmed but you'd never know it based on the great service to each and all. To top it all off, they were kind enough to put the World Series on the big screen for a few of us who wanted to watch. Highly recommended

Ryan M.

Yelp
On my last remaining days in Sydney, one of my second cousins took me to one of her old hoods. This location was once place that I was, but not too familiar with. This place was world known as Santa Monica is to me. The place was Bondi and place to relax with the ocean in your view was at the North Bondi RSL Club. When my cousin and I arrived to Bondi, it started pouring like the clouds didn't want to retain anymore water. She recommended going to a local club. When I thought club, I thought...Its the afternoon?! Then, I realized it was one of those high class vacation spots. For us Americans or foreign visitors, RSL stands for Returned and Services League of Australia. You can say its almost like one of those Legion Halls that we have in the United States, but are of high quality. Those who serve in Australia Defense Force deserve places like this and I am happy to have been here. When we walked in, we had to sign in as Club Guests. I don't remember what the qualifications were be a member and/or as a guest. As a guest, I vaguely remember that you have to live further than ~5 miles from Bondi. After you sign in, you'll enter the main hall and you'll see the beautiful Bondi Beach despite the rain being a pain in the view. The main hall has a stage for live bands, but since it was the afternoon, the RSL was playing Rugby Games on the screen. When you order food and drinks, you'll order from two different areas. The food will come from the far counter. I don't remember the exact prices, but they were specials for the day. I ordered the Thai Beef salad and I believe my cousin ordered a burger with fries. Sorry, I only have the photo for my dish. The food counter is the only counter that accepts credit card. When you head over to the bar, cash is the only form of payment accepted. I had a local Bondi beer which I should've gotten the name of. We found a great spot to sit down at and the rain and the thunder tried to ruin the mood, but the ambiance was still intact. With the view of Bondi Beach and a very cool dining hall, we just let the rain do its business while we wait for our food. While we waited, a bird flew in to relax as well. Well, since the doors were open, I wonder if the bird filled out one of the guest forms. I know the bird was trying to grab some chips off of one of the employees ho was about to take a break. One of the other guests as well as my cousin and myself tried to get the bird out. We were successful. Our food came out in very presentable dishes. My salad had very well cooked beef on top of delicious lettuce and tasty onions. I don't remember what kind of dressing, but it probably was close to something Asian. I am not sure if this salad is served every week, but I hope it is after this review is posted. The beef is succulent and the crispiness of the veggies was just right. I was I didn't finish it, but I had to. If you don't enjoy it, then it tells on your plate. After the meal was over, all we did was sit and watched the rain pour. However, I did get to use the restroom to see some ladies. No, I wasn't in the women's restroom. It was a bunch of ladies above men's urinals giving you awesome looks. Overall, I loved North Bondi RSL, but I wished I got to visit more RSL's of Australia. I am glad to have visited and hopefully more visitors will come and bring more business. You think I write too much? Well, you can call me a Yelp-O-Holic!

Yelp
Think of RSL clubs, and it's loud pokies, zimmerframes and soggy cafeteria schnitzels that come to mind. Not the case at North Bondi RSL. The unassuming entrance to this ex-servicemen's club leads to an enormous, bustling bar area and coveted balcony seating overlooking the iconic beach nearby. Young and beautiful locals are just as likely to head here for an après-beach drinking session as they are to stop by a trendy bar, with a busy atmosphere and cheap drinks to boot. The bar itself is small considering the size of the venue, so it can be quite a wait on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, and the lack of ventilation also produces a bit of a sweat fest. That said, if you can bulk buy a round of their house white wines when you make it to the counter then you'll mind the lack of space a little less. Saturday nights usually have a live band playing - I remember one visit when the crazy fun Martini Club played with particular fondness - but you will have to front up your ID at the door and sign in for entry on any given day.

Yelp
"Perfect way to take in the beach view, chat, people watch and enjoy a few delicious cucumber spritz cocktails" Vibe : It's safe to say it's the same vibe and crowd as North Bondi Italian. However the venue has undergone a cosmetic make over. It resembles a bright, airy and breezy boathouse. Will impress : Friends who like to be in the know and usually sit on the grassy knoll (sorry I'm stereotyping). I came here with my gorgeous girlfriend Lisa (http://lisasdailyritual.tumblr.com/), for a post around-the-world-in-3 weeks catch up and it was the perfect way to take in the beach view, chat, people watch and enjoy a few delicious cucumber spritz cocktails. Spend : $$$ Dress code : Heels -big no for lunch. Dress up but wear flats to compliment the casual atmosphere. Food : To start, Sydney Rock Oysters (Don't know why I insist on having oyster when I know I'll never be a fan). Followed by crisp, moderately battered flathead fillets, chips and crumbed calamari rings. Much more suitable to my palate. The meal was as expected, to put it simply - quality battered fish! To drink, we easily skulled a few cucumber spritz cocktails. Love Bangers x

Yelp
Stumbled upon North Bondi Fish and ended up with an unexpectedly delicious meal that I won't be forgetting for a while. 5 stars for food and drinks, offset with high prices - essentially you pay for the view. Ordered bug linguine (not being Aussie, had no idea what bug was but loved it! It tastes a bit like lobster meat) and the baked flounder. The linguine was a good sized portion for $30-something, very tasty, although it may have been over-salted. The flounder for $64 (meant for sharing btwn 2) was disappointing at first glance because of the size, but the flavour and texture of the fresh fish quickly made up for it. All in all, being from Canada and the west coast, the seafood did not disappoint. I learned that the flounder was shuttled down a day before from Queensland. So fresh and so good. I wish it was a bit less pricey so I could frequent it more. Don't get me wrong though, prices are on par with many mid-range Aussie restaurants. Oh also, the white wine sangria pitcher was super refreshing and delicious with strawberries and citrus fruits. I'd order that, and everything I had, again in a heartbeat.

Rachel B.

Yelp
Stumbled soon this place after really crappy service at another. The food was amazing as was the view if I lived locally it would be a regular spot for us! I suggest the zucchini flowers and the mussels.

Joel Amigo H.

Yelp
With some good weather, on a Sunday afternoon this place is pumping. It's relaxed vibe, is made up of Surfies, backpackers, and locals all enjoying their bevies in their thongs. The stunning location, is somehow unpretentious, compared to it's South Bondi cousin Icebergs RSL, but with an equally gorgeous view of the waves crashing on Bondi, and the sexy beach bums in perfect sight, you'll guard your balcony seat like a hawk. Grab a seat inside if you can't get one on the balcony, and pick up the very reasonably priced menu, for some sharing plates, and/or steaks, or burgers - try the Tandoori burger for something different.

Yelp
Great place for cheap eats and drinks with a view. The other day I randomly ended up here as the person I was with is a Bondi local and suggested it. When we arrived at the RSL club there were no seats on the outside patio but we managed to locate a high table facing outside through the window at the ocean. It was beautiful. I started off with a glass of the house red. Shortly after arriving we decided to order food and instead of getting a main each we got items that were great for sharing. We ordered pizza #3 which included chorizo, ham, mushrooms, onions, roasted capsicum and feta. The flavours of the pizza all seemed to work together in a lovely way that gave your taste buds a little dance. The pizza dough was the right amount of thickness and bottom not burt. We also ordered sweet potato chips and calamari to go with it. The wedges were exactly what I expected. The calamari was coated perfectly with the right amount of seasoning but it's only downfall was the sauce that it came with. It was a bit too runny and dripped everywhere.. even down my shirt. After dinner we moved outside as a table became available and took in the stunning night view of Bondi.. looking out into the ocean is truly a highlight of this place. Being an RSL club there are countless events and specials throughout the week and of course a pokie machine for your entertainment. If you are not aa member you will need to sign in. Be sure to keep the slip because if you win and dont have the slip they will not pay you. All in all I would recommend this place if you are around the area for cheap eats as some places in Bondi can get pricey.

Michael I.

Yelp
Like many modern restaurants nowadays the mantra here seems to be fresh ingredients cooked simply and to that end they succeed on my visit. I had the barramundi and it was very nice. Everyone's food in our group looked good. However it does raise the question of value for money, my dish, whilst nice, was expensive for what it was. If you're not on a budget you will probably enjoy this place, but I'd like to see a little more at this price range.

Michelle S.

Yelp
We went for dinner. Great spot, a bit overpriced for the size of what you actually get to eat. I would've rated this place a 5 star, but since they tried to charge me $10 for a bottle of tap water- they get a 4 star rating. I had the prawn sandwich which was delicious. Would recommend giving this place a try if you want a delicious meal and aren't concerned about the money.

Tara F.

Yelp
Wow! That's all I have to say. We stumbled upon this place, and I must say I am beyond excited that we did. If you are not a member you have to sign in and write your information Before going in. Make sure you are not wearing a hat and are dressed properly. The staff is super friendly and the food is out of this world. We were there right when the sign was going down. It was so romantic. Definitely go here if you are at Bondi beach.

Nancy G.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to finally visiting. The view, staff & location don't disappoint but the food does. Sat us at a teeny tiny table... Constant plate shuffle & balance... Oysters were warm a couple of dishes were creative & delish but didn't balance the let down. Not hurrying back.

J.J. L.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at. For sure, it is not cheap but the seafood is incredibly fresh, the food is well prepared and presented and service is excellent. Location doesn't hurt either being above Bondi beach with a view of the beach and the ocean. This place is quite busy so do make a reservation if you can.

peg w.

Yelp
Pricey but oh so worth it.....the fish is fresh and delightful. Beautiful setting across from Bondi Beach. Good service, and hip environment. Two hour limit on dinner, but we did not feel rushed at all. Ordered plates (5) to share which was ample food for two. Did I mention apple tart for dessert? Large enough to serve four, or in our case, take half home for morning coffee. Wine reasonably priced.

Laura N.

Yelp
A government sponsored drinking establishment? I approve. Sure I was a bit confused at 6pm when we had to stand up and pay our respects, but nothing I couldn't get behind on a regular basis - especially for the reasons below: What this specific establishment lacks in ambience (unless you're into the whole drinking in a high school cafeteria thing) it makes up for in spades with the incredible drink prices and unstoppable view. Seriously, that view. I don't think I've come across a more beautiful spot in Bondi to have a glass of wine and bowl of wedges than the RSL's terrace. This ain't your grandma's drinking den. Ok, maybe it is, but this granny has impeccable taste in location.

Andrea L.

Yelp
Clean, well designed, excellent location, good service and tasty food. Recommended by Broadsheet and my local friends. Found this place with ease since it's a prominent glass building at the north end of Bondi. Fish and chips were tasty, as was soft shell crab slider. Nice selection of wines, seasonal spritzers and cocktails. Even better views, especially in the autumn when it's cold and windy out!

Amy B.

Yelp
As the name suggests, this restaurant is on the North end of Bondi beach with lovely sweeping views down the sand. Owned by Matt Moran, it definitely has his signature written all over it. Open space with floor to ceiling windows bringing plenty of natural lighting, and large, moody sea-side themed lights hanging down for when it gets dark. The ambience and mood is lovely, but definitely on the trendy side. It's got the same flare as Chiswick in Woollahra, but Bondi style with more seafood. The food was good, good but not great. We ordered the fried squid as one of our entrees and I wasn't that impressed. However, the rest of the entrees were delicious and surprisingly big portions. Prawn tacos, snow crab slider and tuna were INCREDIBLE. For a main, I shared the fish and chips- because if you're going to have fish and chips you're going to have them in Matt Moran's restaurant in Bondi. I wasn't disappointed. The chips were perfect, the fish of the day (pink ling) was soft and sweet and cooked perfectly, the batter was rich and light but the highlight was the TARTARE sauce. UGH! DROOL. Not over exaggerating, it is the best damn tartare sauce I have ever had anywhere. Period. My dad got the prawns, which I had a small taste of. The flavour was beautiful and again, a large portion. Overall I really loved the food but I believe a 4 star+ review means you should be able to order anything and know it's going to be good. The squid was average at best, especially for a restaurant that focuses on seafood. I could probably buy it nicer at the supermarket... That was the biggest let down for me. Our waitress was also less than interested (maybe she was having a bad day?) and actually forgot to order our drinks, so they gave them to us on the house. You can't really go wrong with the house made sodas. We didn't get any dessert, we were too full! Other than that, I really enjoyed this restaurant. Maybe next time I'll give it a 4-star review, and maybe next time I will try some dessert.

Marie G.

Yelp
Simply put... Food was great. Pasta was a bit too salty but fish taco and scallop entree brilliant. Steak taste like BBQ so good

Julie L.

Yelp
If you don't know the deal with RSL (Returned Servicemen's Leagues) Clubs, they are government sponsored drinking establishments that may have a few odd-sounding rules & regulations but it's all worth it for cheap subsidised drinks and sometimes lawn bowls! Basically, if you live within 5kms of the club you have to join for a small fee- usually around 5 or 10 bucks. They have area maps on the walls at registration & it's as strictly monitored as electoral boundaries! If you live outside the area you don't have to join and can sign in as a guest, but either way you won't get in without ID. You also won't get in if you're wearing any headwear, male or female - this is a mark of respect for the service men and women these venues are dedicated to. The other thing that can seem bizarre if you aren't fore-warned, is the 6pm minute's silence for the fallen. It's kind of bizarre to be drinking in a rowdy pub and then hear over the loud speakers, "all rise and face the West" and a whole pub obediently quieting down for the Last Post. "Lest We Forget" is the cue to get raucus again and the volume always rises a few levels immediately when you're allowed to resume noise-making. Despite sounding staunch and traditional, some RSL clubs are popular with the young & funky. North Bondi RSL is definitely one of the cool ones and one of my favourite places to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon. No hats inside and no singlets for men but there's actually a pretty relaxed dress code- flip-flops are fine and you can head in dripping straight from a swim- and they even have a rack of loaner Hawaiian shirts for men who rock up in their wifebeaters. They have decent if not super-cheap food and a margarita slushie machine! Backpackers don't tend to know about this place and only come if a local brings them so it's a relatively dickhead-free zone with gorgeous views over Bondi Beach if you manage to blag a balcony spot. Joining fee for locals is $20 for a year and your membership card gets you benefits like a member's draw, even cheaper drinks, and the convenience of not having to sign in on entry. Oh and if you don't live in the area you can't join, so nyeeuh. Check out the Men's room!

Ross W.

Yelp
Surprised. Pleasantly. View is where it's at outside. And the food was way better then I expected from a almost cafeteria like order line. Inside is a little like some multi purpose beach bar party award ceremony venue with temporary fold up tables. But outside!! I got the Quinoa salad. I was hungry so my opinion is biased but I did enjoy every bite. The guest told me there fish and chips was solid. Beer selection was decent and the pale ale I had was fine but I wouldn't order it again. I'd come back for lunch and a beer after surfing. All u need is a 20.

Sarah C.

Yelp
North Bondi RSL might have one of the best locations in Bondi. At the Northern End of Bondi Beach, this RSL is on the second storey of the building, overlooking the iconic beach. The RSL has newly been renovated and the space is stylish and feels relaxed. The inside space is large, has a stage which can showcase bands on the weekend. There's a bistro and long bar and small gaming area. Get here early though, because you want to sit outside on the balcony overlooking the beach. Whether you just enjoy the sunshine, watching the surfers or having a beer, this is perfect. If you live within a 7 k radius, you will need to become a member (not very expensive) but out of area, you'll just need to sign in. It's perfect for a Sunday afternoon drink, or any day really and you get can get lunch and dinner any day of the week. There's also brunch options on the weekend. The food is typical pub bistro style, steaks, salads, burgers, fried seafood and the seafood platter sounds amazing. We shared a grilled barramundi with vegetables, a spinach and ricotta pasta with beef ragu, fries and Spanish prawns. Easy to share and not too expensive for Bondi. They do occasionally have $10 steak specials too.

Liz W.

Yelp
Our friends are members and brought us while we were visiting. The sunset views are amazing and the member discounts make this a great deal. We went on 10 dollar steak night, which made it a little crowded but the steak was worth it. I would certainly join if I lived there

Zack S.

Yelp
Amazing meal overlooking Bondi Beach. Super unique dishes and fantastic deserts such as the raspberry creme brulee. Would for sure recommend going and trying their alcoholic popsicles as well.

John S.

Yelp
We decided to come here with some friends on Friday night. We didn't book as once we tried to book a table when it was North Bondi Italian and they said it was not possible... So we were seated at the bar to wait for a table, we waited what seemed like an eternity to get anyones attention for drinks. The ladies ordered cocktails, we had beers. After about an hour wait we were seated. The menu is very limited...I settled on Oysters (4$ each) and the Crab linguini $30. For dessert I tried the 2 small round donuts with orange and chocolate sauce ($16) I must say I agree with the previous reviewer, I would much prefer Chiswick any day. Yes I tried it once but would I return? Probably not.

Darwin T.

Yelp
Shockingly sub-par service met with average food to make for a really stressful and unpleasant summer lunch. Highlights included the aggressive and actively unhelpful French waiter rushing us to order (seatings are limited to two hours), then flippantly replying that the very late-arriving food (nearly an hour after placing the order) was "out of his control" when questioned when it might arrive. He followed that wonderful assistance by being in such a rush to leave our table that upon filling a friend's wine glass he literally pour wine across my friend's plate and lap and then mine as well - without even noticing, or possibly caring. We wondered if maybe he'd had a good bit of wine himself. Food was hit and miss, with the greatest offender being the most basic - under-cooked chips! A close second were the rather bland and unoriginal fish tacos. All in all, the antithesis of the image Matt Moran portrays and proof that a beautiful view only gets you so far. With the myriad options for seafood al fresco in Sydney, this is one well worth skipping.

Christopher M.

Yelp
Extraordinary value. High quality polite friendly staff. No hassles. No poker machines in visibility of the vast dining room that looks straight up Bondi Beach. The food is excellent and the prices are less than half what you pay in most Bondi restaurants. Modern New York style fully staffed kitchen. Took 5 children and two of us adults. (I'm a member joined on the spot!) meal cost $70 including drinks and ice cream children's menu. Go early for dinner, say 6pm. View unbelievable. Best value in Sydney

Danielle L.

Yelp
If it's sunny and warm and you fancy an beer in the sun by the beach, look no further than North Bondi RSL. The drinks are cheap, the balcony boasts the best view of the beach, and it gets all the afternoon sun. If you like a laidback drink with your mates and a spot of reasonably priced pub-grub, The North Bondi RSL is for you. If you prefer getting dressed up and eating more restaurant-style food then head to Revesis. North Bondi RSL draws a chilled out un-pretencious crowd, this is place to unwind and have fun. It's also got depth thanks to the daily minute silence, which offers a rare point of reflection for pub drinkers and the clientele which is a mixture of old guys betting on the horses and youngsters enjoying the sunshine.

Yelp
Perched on the edge of Bondi Beach with dramatic views of the water's edge and the chiselled bodies of the joggers and surfers that pound the surrounding pavement, North Bondi RSL has become a mecca for backbackers, holiday makers and locals alike. It's stunning location means that it is always crammed, and it's well worth joining the fray. They offer a delicious menu of Italian staples - pastas, pizzas, meat, fish, risottos and salads - at a reasonable price. On a Wednesday, it's well worth heading down to make the most of their $8 steak night. If you can't cook/won't cook/have nothing to cook, the steaks are great value and offer a filling, easy and delicious mid-week meal. It's also a perfect place for a drink after work - bowls of monkey nuts are easily washed down with a chilled glass of wine. There's plenty of tables and chairs, although they do tend to get very crowded (especially on the balcony), so it's worth getting here early to grab a good spot. They often hold live events over the weekend. When you're next over at Bondi, make sure you head here for a quick drink or a meal - you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
It is hard to go wrong when you have these two ingredients: Best view in Bondi Cheapest Beer in Bondi Thursday Snitty night is a must! Enjoy... responsibly!

Yelp
This place is MAGICAL. GREAT views, entertainment, DELICIOUS food, and good drinks. My wife and I were here on our honeymoon and could not have stumbled upon a cooler place. It is a private club, but if you sign a "temporary" membership, they let you in for lunch. You get to enjoy the gorgeous ocean as you sit on the outside balcony and grub on some yummy food. It really was one of the major highlights of our trip and if/when we go back to Australia, we are definitely making a stop there.

Yelp
Between the view, the great decor, which fused beach and modern touches, and a small yet incredible menu, this was without doubt my favourite meal on Bondi. Some nice vegetarian options on the menu, great drinks and nice dessert choices. Staff were wonderful.

Yelp
Their food is great! Very fresh and tasteful. They had a great wine selection as well. Went with a few girlfriends on a Saturday night before going out. The service was great and we were seated quite quickly even though we did not have a reservation. Would come back.

Yelp
The menu was very limited, over priced fish and chips. Service was good ! The venue has nice views but very noisy like a Tapas bar scene... But that's what they may be marketing at.. The washed in from the beach scene. If that the case, buy some take away fish & chips & eat them in the park. Then go up stairs to the RSL for wine & beers at half the price. I'd go to Chiswicks any day before North Bondi Fish...

Yelp
Food here is consistent; we've never been disappointed, and have tried a variety of entres. Joining the club has its perks if you dine out frequently. The view from the outside seating area is phenomenal.

Yelp
Had dinner on Saturday. Food was fine but service left much to be desired. Three different people asked us about water and no one brought it. No one explained the menu. Food was served quickly. My seafood curry was good. My co workers fish and chips too salty

Yelp
We stopped in after enjoying a hot day at the beach and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere is playful and inviting to a multitude of personalities. We shared the mussels which were out of this world and could successfully fed 3 hungry people if not more. We also had the swordfish which was quite tastey but the salsa verde made the dish. Service was pretty good although we did have to wait a little while to get a second round of drinks. Otherwise we had a great time and will be back.

Yelp
This has a great location, location location location. Well I would have thought this would be a total tourist trap. Pleasantly surprised when the menu fitted the hype. We had a long lunch and slowly enjoyed the variety of fish on the menu. Always surprises me the cost of fish in Australia, but with controlled fish markets and most of the good stuff being over inflated for the Asian market we can't expect more than increased prices along with energy. All that aside the menu it's varied and interesting enough to make a vegetarian turn pesecaterian. The improvement would be in the service, our waiter was attentive enough, but when busy, the manager completely ignored us. He obviously would prefer to be any where else but here. The worst kind of Maitre D, arrogant and disinterested. The personality of a dead fish. Also ignore the online booking, it said the restaurant was full at 1:30 the next booking available was 2:30 , we just turned up, the place was half empty at 1: 30pm . It's worth a visit, but if it's you're one Bondi event go to Icebergs were you'll be greeted like valued customers. $350:00 for 2 people you'd think you'd get some decent service

Yelp
Very very slow and uncoordinated service with average but very expensive meals. Go to Bondi's best seafood for a much better experience.

Yelp
Beautiful location, good food. Gorgeous place to watch the sun set. My friend booked a table overlooking the beach so it was perfect setting for dinner. We ordered a sampling of almost everything (oysters, scallops, garfish tacos, beetroot salad...) and everything was tasty. The oysters were especially fresh. Service as awesome. The server was attentive, but not overbearing and we didn't have to wait long for food or top-ups of drinks.

Yelp
How disappointing. A friend follows Matt on Twitter - so big fans and maybe big expectations. But even without much expectation this Resturant will still fail to impress. We liked our salads - but sadly that was all. Problems were: Crab linguini - almost no crab meat. White sangria - just tasted of soda water. No taste of white wine and no fruit in it. Fish and chips - fast food Resturant frozen chips and nothing special about the batter. Menu VERY limited - only one none fish option - so one would expect a good selection of fish dishes - not to be. Ambiance and decor - too cramped - too hot - too basic - no ambiance. Food summary - incredibly expensive for almost food court mains. We were $60 per head and only had mains and one round of drinks - no desserts coffees etc. other problems - floor phenomenally slippy - saw one guest fall flat on floor - toilets a disgrace. Bottom line. Matt sucked into trying to use Brand to sell over priced basic food should refocus immediately on getting good product at good price back on offer. Very disappointing.
