"This cozy, intimate bookshop has something for everyone. A separate children's section encourages parents to linger with their little ones, and almost every section in the store features bookmarks with comments by the knowledgeable staff."

Amazing bookshop. My little one enjoyed our time there. She happily walked around the children's table, and leafed through the sample books. That helped a lot with picking books for purchase. We both two music books from the same serial she liked on the display. And one more. I even managed to feed her on the sofa in the children's department and put the sleeping baby into the stroller. The staff was just amazing. Would be definitely going back and looking forward to attending their events with children literature authors.

Love this haven not just because I was invited to do a children's book event there! It's a welcoming place to browse full of treasures for young and old

Knowledgeable and friendly staff. My kids love when the children's authors visit.

I’d quite forgotten how lovely it is to visit a real live bookshop! This one carefully curated , went in thinking I’d buy just one book but of course came out with 4!

Lovely book shop! i love the recommendations in certain books and the selection of books you have! Also a really nice variety of cards and other stationery bits (nice wrapping paper, advent calendars etc) can’t wait to visit again :)

Took our granddaughter for a book reading. My daughter has taken her to a few of them. The back room is dedicated to children's books and activities and is quite large. There is a very small selection of French books, mostly aimed for older children. I didn't notice any other languages, although I heard a spoken

Google
Very cute book shop, laid out nicely with what appears to be a staff specific curated set of books. So not the largest selection but a very good and focused selection. Additionally it has a very large children's selection.

Yelp
I love books and love finding small independent book shops. Nomad is an incredible shop! I love that they have a cafe and rather than being in its own section it is part of the shop and surrounded by books. When you walk around you find little nooks and crannies where you can curl up with a book. The shop feels more like a warm living room rather than just a book shop. The shop was busy, but the space is well laid out and you can easily get around mothers with strollers, which is always a plus. I really did enjoy just browsing the book shop and was shocked when I realized I'd spent an hour in the shop, just looking at books....pure bliss!

Yelp
This book shop is the prefect mixture of picture books, bean bags, Tolstoy, Will Self and cake. It's as edgy as an obesity ward but as warm and lovely as a Sunday afternoon by the fire with a group of people who say lovely a lot. They have a really nice little café to one side of the shelves and they serve food and drink all day - all tasty. The selection in this place is great although it tends to stand a few feet further away from the bestsellers than say, Waterstones. Many of the newer books have a little book mark poking out the top with a short review from a member of staff and this makes a nice little gesture if you need a bit more convincing than the blurb on the back. This is the sort of place that would win the Booker prize for shops.

Yelp
Nomad Books has that cozy and cluttered feel that all bookstores should have. Its coffee shop is a wonderful place to sit and browse through your selection to make a final decision all the while enjoying a beverage. Although it's child-friendly, even the kids seem to pick up on the mellow vibe and not run completely wild--as can be the case in Fulham! My husband and I always come to the bookshop when we're planning a holiday. Hidden in a private room downstairs is the travel books/travel writing section. It's complete with a large table laid out with maps and lamps and feels like you're planning a proper expedition! We usually wander the section, grab all the countries that catch our eye and sit there, plotting and narrowing it down. Bliss on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Hope I haven't let the secret out! There is also a book club--but I have never had the time. One day!

Yelp
Great independent bookstore in Fulham. Conveniently, they have a coffee shop right in the store for lazy afternoons and browsing. Their travel section downstairs is great, and they also have a nice section of children's books. The staff actually know what they have in the store, and the selection seems to have been chosen with a bit more care and consideration than what is found in the monster super-stores. Yes, the Borders in the Fulham Broadway Station is marginally closer, but I feel like a total shmuck when I support them, so it's worth the 10-minute walk to Nomad Books to be able to look at myself in the mirror without shame and self-loathing. Incidentally, it is almost directly across the street from Local Hero, another classic Fulham independent shop, so you could support two independents with one quick jaunt down the Fulham Road.

Yelp
Dear Harriet Morton - I was deeply disappointed by the service I received in Nomad Books this Sunday morning. I live in Fulham and have held off placing a large order of books on Amazon for some time now, as I wanted to support your store, particularly at this time and have the chance to browse your shelves. I was able to pick up four of the books I required but knew that the remainder ( approx 15) would have to be ordered. When I placed the first order (which did prove challenging to the server) I was told by the other lady I could "email it through" which I, of course, was aware but wanted the in store experience of browsing and shopping. When I replied I could have stayed at home and ordered them from Amazon - one of the ladies with a patronising and exasperated tone simply replied "Carry on!" . When I realised that my custom was an inconvenience I left. I should add that there was no queue waiting (otherwise I would have stepped aside) and only four people in the store as I left. Will not return.

Yelp
What a great bookstore. Perfect for browsing through books, getting a coffee from the cafe in the store and just relaxing and unwinding. Bigger stores may try to get the same feel but not quiet there. Love the personal handwritten review notes on a lot of the books. Makes book reading a pleasure!

Yelp
These days with WH Smith everywhere an independent bookshop like this one is hard to find. Nomad Books is a really nice place to browse - a book lover's haven. It has extensive travel and children's sections. All other book sections covered as well; fiction, biography, history, art, interiors, garden etc. Coffee and cafe food available within the shop too. Excellent staff.

Yelp
Great bookshop, lots of corners to sit in and read whilst having a coffee

Yelp
Fantastic bookstore for browsing without pressure. Great selection and a friendly staff. It is well worth supporting this delightful bookstore with your purchases rather than buying on line.
