"In early 2025, construction will commence for 60 single-family homes in La Fortuna, Costa Rica—about a 25-minute drive from Nayara Resorts’ trio of properties in Arenal Volcano National Park. The project is helping Nayara employees become homeowners through a partnership with a local bank, which will provide subsidized mortgages. The homes will be ready for move-in nine months to a year later (no down payment needed), and employees can access furniture and fixtures, if desired, from the previous iteration of Nayara Gardens, which reopened after a full rebuild in January 2024. Crucially, ownership is not dependent on employment with Nayara, meaning the owners can leave the company whenever they choose and their deed will not be impacted."
"A family-friendly hotel in Arenal Volcano National Park with spacious casitas, outdoor activities, and mineral springs. Rates start at $480 per night for two adults." - Travel + Leisure Editors
"The prize of the Arenal region sits on the skirt of a grand volcano only a mile and a half off La Fortuna highway. The resort's 50 huge and colorful casitas deliver the promise of views impossible to replicate, and all have outdoor showers and hot tubs. Spirited resident parrot, Guadalupe, earns a special mention, as does beyond incredible service, Latin- and Japanese-inflected cuisine at Sushi Amor restaurant, and other delicious food--especially breakfasts, with made-to-order huevos rancheros. The tropical romance is perfect for honeymooners, but not exclusionary of families. For an adults-only escape, try the adjacent Nayara Springs for a sublime escape."
"This boutique resort is a Costa Rican dream for anyone looking for a secluded vacation spot. Nayara Springs is perched at the top of a rainforest, surrounded by tropical plants and creeks with gorgeous views of Arenal Volcano. Sixteen private villas include plunge pools, gardens, and open-air showers and 19 more were added in late 2016. Located 2 ½ hours from San Jose, this adults-only hotel gets high scores for service, and the spa has indulgent treatments with volcanic mud and chocolate clay. For those with kids, try the resort's adjacent, family-friendly, Nayara Hotel, Spa & Gardens ."
"For an off-the-grid feeling without going totally radio silent, book a luxury villa at Nayara Springs, discreetly tucked away within the rainforest of the Arenal park in Costa Rica. Each villa has its own plunge pool filled with water from nearby mineral hot springs and outdoor rain showers. Privacy is paramount, although you may see sloths, toucans, and frogs from your outdoor deck. The open-air spa and yoga pavilion, along with the direct access to nature walks, only deepens your connection to nature. When you’re ready to socialize, the resort has a handful of restaurants on-site as well as a swim-up bar, but you can easily walk to Nayara Gardens, its sister resort, for more options. And parents will doubly appreciate the complimentary laundry service." - Juliana Shallcross
