"On the market side of the Rialto Bridge, you’ll see a bunch of tables with views of a gondola station on the Grand Canal. Choose a seat that belongs to this wine bar. Most cicchetti in the city is focused on seafood, and while Naranzaria has some terrific fishy options, they really specialize in meat. Order a mix of mortadella, prosciutto crudo, and silky strips of guanciale on bread, and if they’re doing meatballs that day, get a few of those, too. The inside space is pretty narrow, but we love standing at the long bar with a spritz on a winter afternoon, under the glow of Campari bottle light fixtures." - Gillian McGuire

"Italian/Asian Fusion across from Rialto Bridge Right next to the famed Venice Fish Market, Naranzaria is a charming ultra trendy wine and tapas bar that specializes in raw fish with an Italian twist. Some of the dishes sound weird - like the mozzarella, tomato and tuna sushi, but the chef is talented and they come out tasting better than they sound. Beyond fish, there are also a lot of vegetarian tapas options, making it an all around solid bet regardless of your eating style. The restaurant is also a perfect place to relax over a traditional aperitif, like a spritz or a caipirinha or a glass of fine Italian wine. And the location on a just across from the Rialto Bridge is as romantic Venice as it gets."

Very nice outside seating area but of course that comes with a price which is why I can't give 5 stars. I had the brioche which was a croissant but it was very delicious and actually not that expensive. The coffee was the pricey part but it wasn't insanely expensive either. It was also very good coffee.

The silly boy that was serving, his face was tripping him , throwing down people,s good and drink! Charged me 19 euros for two medium draft beers , no thanks , no nothing, just an ignorant man who couldn't be bothered serving. I intend to come back to Venice many times till I retire, I was 60 years old celebrating my birthday, he wasn't interested, it's the worst service I ever had in my entire life, he shouldn't be in that industry,no manners and a big chip on his shoulder, I've urged all my friends to tell their friends to avoid Naranzaria at all costs ! As it is a overpriced, horrible service with a ignorant guy who serves you.

The outdoor seating is perfect for enjoying the lively canal atmosphere, especially at sunset. Popular among locals and tourists alike, it’s an ideal spot for a relaxed meal or drinks, though it can be a bit pricey.

So far it's my favourite place to go to for some beers in the evening. Although I haven't eaten a proper meal there yet, they offer snacks and bites which are delicious and you can sit at the back by the canal and it's lovely. It's a place that feels like it should be alot more crouded as its very near the Rialto bridge but it actually has such a pleasant atmosphere and feels laid back.

Google
Nice bar located close to the Ponte Rialto next to Canal Grande. The place is nice to chill around and enjoy the nice view. The atmosphere is nice and on sunny days it is windy. The waiters are somehow in a bad mood. The toilets are small but clean. Two coffees (late) with ice costs 10€. We didn't receive the invoice.

Google
Great place for tourists if you enjoy getting robbed for what you get, Martini was 90% ice, 5% mint leaf, 4% lime, 1% regret. Walk two feet over to the spot next to it and your odds of feeling despair and your wallet being drained are probably much lower.

Had a lovely spritz and polpette here at the edge of the Grand Canal. Fast, friendly service and they didn't mind that I was dining alone

Naranzaria has really perfect location, just because of location all go there. Food is perfect and wine too, but waitresses should be a little bit hospitable, all knows that is hard work but we were waited for coffe almost 30-40 minutes 😅 all other services was good

Yelp
Great for a quick premade Aperol spritz or espresso with a view of the river outside. They also have Bacaro which look delicious! The staff are super friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Aperol spritz with a view! Gondolas and pigeons swarm the crowd as you take in not just amazing views from this perch but an aperol spritz as well. Staying cool in the shade as you sip the Italian summer drink is not a bad way to take a break from the mounds of people flocking to this sinking city.

Yelp
There are a couple of reasons why I do not recommend this restaurant. 1. Their service is painfully slow. We got our drinks quickly, but we had to wait for close to an hour to get our antipasti (platters of cured ham and cheese). Another hour + (i.e., more than two hours after we placed our orders) to wait for entrees. 2. Their menu is very limited. As you can see in my photo, they only had one or two options for each category. For example, in the pasta category, they only had "meat lasagna" or "vegetable lasagna." I wanted to eat different pasta, like linguine or something, but they only had lasagna. I looked at the menu, but it said "Pasta of the Day" and was referred to the menu board. I ended up ordering the cod gratin. It turned out to be very good, much better than I had anticipated. I was bit scared because my Yelp friend Dembe N. had said in his review "the food tasted like canned food or even worse." Maybe he's right. I was just so hungry that the gratin tasted good after waiting for a couple of hours. To be fair, I disclose the fact that we were a party of 9 people. Not huge, but relatively big. Even with that, the service was very slow. Everyone in our group are very well travelled in Europe, and a couple of them actually grew up in Europe. So, it's not because we are impatient. The bottom line is why would you like to come here at all? A very limited menu, very slow service, and (possibly) ok food. There are thousands of restaurants in Venice. ****************************** If you found something useful in my review, please hit "useful" so that I can improve my reviews. Yelp
Deliziosi!! It was a beautiful view of the Grand Canal! I had a mojito and my fiancé had a beer. It was nice to hang out and you get free chips to snack on! The server was also very quick and attentive! The only issue, especially around the water, is all the birds. Too close jumping and your feet and on tables! Either way, definitely go and enjoy the view!

Yelp
I came across this bacari as this was the last stop in Alessandro Schezzini's cicchetti crawl in Venice. The reviews for this place seem to be hit-or-miss; guess I just got lucky when my group stopped by. One of the best things about traveling are the little "serendipity" moments that make you feel good about your travels. The reason why I'm giving this place a 5 stars was because one of the most pleasant memories from my 2-week Italy vacation involved this bacari. It was approaching sunset and this place had a canalside view. For our final stop the cicchetti served was prosciutto on top of a baguette loaf and the alcohol served was a glass of Prosecco. To celebrate my first day in Italy with excellent company enjoying the sunset over a glass of Proscecco was quite serendipitous. It also helped that the prosciutto was the best I've ever had, nothing in the US tasted what I had that day. I think the prosciutto here is more pure and has a texture to fatty sashimi as a comparision. Naranzaria is situated along the Grand Canal right next to the Rialto and across the canal is the famous Fondaco dei Tedeschi building. As long as I stick to the prosciutto and a glass of wine or aperol spritz I won't be disappointed should I find myself back here.

Yelp
This is cute place right near Rialto but found the staff to be rude. After we purchased wine they told us we could not sit at the open tables as that was an additional charge. Ummm well that's a first. So instead we stood in a small cramped area watching the staff help themselves to the prepared food they had for sale and eat it while they sat around. I was tempted to stand right in front of the counter blocking anyone else from ordering to counter their odd remark of telling me I had to pay to sit down after I had ordered. But alias then i would be the rude one. The wine by the glass selection is nice although short pours and they were out of various wines on the list and tried to push purchasing a bottle to make up for their lack of selection available. It's fine for 1 drink but nothing more.

Yelp
Naranzaria was recommended by a friend and we found it a nice place to stop for a daytime drink and snack. It's located just past the Rialto bridge and has some outdoor seating which people tend to fight over (thanks to the group of tourist ladies who stole our table as we were chatting to the waitress...). We had a simple snack: pizza and the checcika mix (yeah, I know I spelled that wrong. Their site is offline as I write this. But, I think this adds character to the review, no?). The pizza was tasty with nice whole small tomatoes and cheese. It seemed more authentic than the more touristy places who are selling pizza which looks more like Domino's then Italy. The checechicca mix had 5 types of toasts, of which the prosciutto was my favorite with crab being a close second. I had a decent glass of Nebbiolo to go along with it. It was a nice spot and the waitress was helpful, though not super attentive, (aka she was Italian). Not sure if I'd do a full meal there, but as it snack, it was fun.

Yelp
Located Right by the Rialto bridge on the San Polo side. When you are going away from San Marco, go over the bridge, and make right to hug the Gran Canal and it's before the fish market. We came here for drinks at the end of our food tour. It's a place to try the traditional Venetian Spritzi - Prosecco, sparkling water, and your choice of: 1. Amperol 2. Campari 3. Cynar Drinks are great, service is less than par. We stayed pretty late chatting away and they pulled all the tables around us to let us know it was time to leave. Two days later, we came to have out last Spritzi and they didn't allow us to eat outside unless we ordered lunch. Bathrooms are upstairs. It's really an after dinner drink place where you can view the Gran Canal, sit outside, and have bathroom a bathroom break.

Yelp
Recommend!! We asked the server for suggestions and she had excellent choices for us. We had the carne tartar and lasagnetta. Being situated by the grand canal is another bonus. Watched the gondoliers travel up and down the canal. Great lunch!

Yelp
Great location, awesome atmosphere BUT the food is awful and overpriced. Would not recommend!!! Service was just Ok and the food tasted like canned food or even worse. You can find much better places for much less!!!

Yelp
I had 4 spritz here with my friend. The first two were fine, but the second two were the incorrect order. We were fine with it because we didn't want to waste the drinks, so we just accepted it. Right before we left, one of the staff spilled red campari all over my white linen shirt. We explained the shirt was expensive, and they brought us into a bathroom and tried to scrub it off with sparkling water. Right as we were leaving the manager basically told me "it will come out in the wash" and did nothing about it--meanwhile my vintage shirt was red. They handled the situation horribly and did nothing about it; they cared very little about our wellbeing. I do not recommend coming here they simply only want tourists to pay for their overpriced drinks and do not care if they will see them again. I recommend going to Osteria lo squero, taverna al remer, or osteria Ca' d'oro alla vedova. These places were much more welcoming to Americans, much cheaper, and gave a better Venetian experience.

Yelp
I do not recommend this place because of the personnel. Location is good and view is cool but the people who work here are unbearable! Bad vibes and mood, look tired and they were not bringing us a bill for more than 40 mins, and after even they got very angry when we wanted to pay by card. Unbearable!

Yadi T.

Yelp
This place feels less crowded then the places you will find on the busier side of the Rialto. The service was good but it is worth it because it sits right along the canal where the gondolas pass and pick up. Sitting in the canal and watching the canal traffic added to my Venetian experience. Prices are reasonable by Venice standards.

Lenka H.

Yelp
Nice, tidy with a nice flair. All is clean and has a wonderful view. The atmosphere exceeds both the quality of waiters and the taste of drinks. Decided not to eat here after seeing the food and having the drinks.

Allyson L.

Yelp
Perfect place for an afternoon drink and a small bite in Venezia. It's right next to the Grand Canal so it's a great place to relax and watch the gondolas ride by while enjoying some refreshments. They also have 20 minutes of free wifi, just ask your server for a code!

Jerry Z.

Yelp
Excellent lasagna and fresh salad. Both a bit salty, great ambiance and the far, and more quiet, side of the Rialto bridge. Right on the Grand canal.

Nadine L.

Yelp
Great food and warm, attentive service. Understanding that we have a gluten allergy, they were able to advise us on which dishes we could have, even giving us toasted polenta instead of bread.
