Excellent Japanese food with friendly service. Saturday lunch time was packed with Japanese people which is the ultimate accolade. Decor is not amazing but everything else is and it’s great value for money.

Muteki - Japanese Restaurant offers an authentic taste of Japan in Saigon. The ambiance is wonderfully immersive, making you feel like you've stepped into a nice spot in Japan itself. The small open kitchen creates an interesting atmosphere. The food is delicious, showcasing genuine flavors, reasonable price and the staff are incredibly friendly, enhancing the dining experience. Highly recommended for a Japanese journey in the heart of the city.

Feels like I’m in Japan ! Food was great although it took quite a while to prepare. Staff was friendly. The shop is decorated just like a Japanese. Price is reasonable for this kind of food. Will definitely come again

A great place to have soba noodles or okonomiyaki (Japanese pancake). You can see how they cook from the first step. Preparation time was quite long for me, around 15-20mins. The food was so amazing, all the flavor and quality of ingredients are great. A great experience, highly recommended. The restaurant is too small for a big group (above 6) tho.

Muteki, instantly evokes memories of watching the almost homonymous anime from the late 1970s, Muteking. That, alone, would be reason enough to come here. BUT NO, lazy we won't be, so let's proceed to add a few data points: - Small, odd selection of japanese dishes. Sushi? Unheard of. Squid tentacles sauteed in butter? Check. - Sapporo draft that for some reason feels fresher, better than the same beer ordered elsewhere. - Comfortably nested between places of heavier intoxication for one's next stop(s). - Real, genuine incandescent lightbulbs like I hadn't seen in 20 years. Good luck with that energy bill, oh owner of Muteki. Go here for a japanese restaurant that doesn't feel that japanese after all, and yet most of the time shelters more than one table of authentic japanese customers.

A hidden Japanese gem in Sai Gon! Locally sourced and made yummies such as gyoza, okonomiyaki and many more you'll recognise. Some of the dishes are not 100% to the original recipes and/or a bit basic, but guaranteed you'll enjoy yourself. Only a few tables so book. You can also sit at the grill (but don't expect a professional show). Lots of Japanese businessmen and a few students, TV on a Japanese channel, posters, souvenirs and Sapporo on tap. The whole alley is full of surprises so go for a stroll after your meal.
