"...and finally, a stop at the Museo di Roma in Trastevere, a quirky little museum whose life-sized dioramas vividly detail daily Roman life in the late 1800s."
A truly fascinating museum in the heart of Trastevere! The rooms authentically recount the life and traditions of Rome between the 19th and 20th centuries. The photographic exhibitions are always well curated and engaging. Friendly staff, peaceful environment, and rich atmosphere. Highly recommended!

This is a very unique and interesting museum to visit and I’m very glad I went. It had a cool selection and collection of various works of art on display here, lots of paintings, sculptures, statues, mannequins and antiques to see. Its collection is very well kept and very nicely displayed. It had on a very nice exhibition when I was here on the cultural revolution in China. I really enjoyed the time I spent here and I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

A quick dive into this museum ehile waoting for our dinner reservation. A small but thoughtful museum about local life in Rome and Trastevere. Many photo exhibits. My favourite exhibit was on level 2 which contained figures and scenes of life in Rome in the 19the century. The figures were lifelike and one feels almost transported into the scenes they portray. Up the stairs the museum also has a replica of the Mouth of Truth!

Interesting exhibit but signage was only in Italian. Since this was a show about a magazine we missed a lot of context. There were some cool creepy dioramas upstairs that were worth the visit

The museum has two floors: on the first floor and on a part of the second is a space for temporary exhibitions. On the second floor is situated the main exposition of the museum dedicated to the daily life of romans. Beautiful paintings and spectacular scenes in several rooms. Highly recommended!
With MIC card the museum is free

We got to see the incredible exhibition of works of art made by Philippe Halsman. He took portraits of Muhammad Ali, Louis Armstrong, Maryling Monroe, Oppenheimer, Robert Kennedy, Albert Einstein and many more! Such an incredible photographer and such a high quality museum to visit and enjoy! Not too crowded and worth the experience!!!
