Moorea Beach Cafe by Bruno Jamais

Best decision ever to eat here tonight. We’re staying at a 5 star resort and while the food is good, this food blew it out of the water. The sushi and crispy rice sushi were phenomenal. The pork belly on cabbage was also fantastic. This chef really excels in his field. I wish he had more days in town to come try more of his food. The service was also wonderful. I have a food allergy which they handled so carefully. It was also pouring rain yet still crowded with customers, clearly a well known place for its excellent food. The setting is right on the water and has great views which I’m sure are even nicer when it’s not pouring rain though we still loved it!:) The chef’s daughter was helping us too and was so friendly and kind. Highly recommend this place.

The most beautiful beach cafe I have ever been to in my entire life. The views here were mind-blowing. Very peaceful setting with friendly staff. We didn't have long in Mo'orea so we just took a taxi here (from the ferry port) with some friends and spent about an hour enjoying the view, with a lovely cold drink. I cannot rate the food because we didn't eat here.

They picked us up at the Hilton for dinner which was so convenient. The drinks were great and the flank steak was amazing!! We also got the pork belly and tuna crispy rice which was also very delicious. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our meal.

Moorea beach cafe is the perfect spot to catch the sunset on the water. They have a free shuttle service that will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel, and you can book it online. They have a sunset menu which is 3 corses for 6600 francs. I got the pizza, the cane break and the crème brûlée. Husband got a steak not on the sunset menu and they were ok with us sharing the appetizers and dessert. Food was good, fish was definitely the best. The pizza and steak were ok. Obviously expensive but so is everything on the island.

We stayed at the Hilton in Moorea for part of our honeymoon and were pleasantly surprised that MBC would come to our hotel to pick us up. The food was outstanding - we both did the sunset meal and had three courses. Better than anything we had at the resort, I can’t recommend this place enough!!

Great view by the end of the sea .. service was very good, but the food was terrible and very expensive .. we had the goat cheese and honey pizza .. terrible! the dough was doughy and floury .. like it was under cooked .. not crisp .. we also got the Lobster/salmon pot pie ... this was very thin and watery (not a bisque) .. not creamy and was about a 1/2 cup's worth in a bowl with puff pastry put over the top only ... skip this place .. food value does not match the prices ... as one review said the place does seem pretentious .. go across the street to Rudy's (very good) .. or even better go down the street to the Moorea Maitai .. the food is better priced, larger portions, and a fun atmosphere right by the sea.

Amazing location, phenomenal food. Must visit. I was very impressed by chef’s skills. The view are stunning. The best beach cafe I ever visited.

This place is pretentious and overpriced. We highly recommend going to the place next door down the road "Moorea Maitai" - much better atmosphere and very, very friendly. Do not stop at Moorea Beach Cafe, where as soon as we said we didn't want to eat, we were immediately excluded and told to sit in a tired old area where the tables were wobbly and the chairs were very dirty the water was very smelly in that area, it was certainly not as inviting as the main part, as the pictures will show. The restaurant was practically empty and I pointed out that we would like to sit under the shade in the restaurant and because my son was on crutches he would find it difficult to walk down the crooked wooden steps to sit on the beach. The lady pointed to an alternative area that was really not very attractive and quite dusty. After relenting we found seats on the beach and were then ignored, so after 15 minutes we left.
