The inside space is lovely in a traditional brick-and-wood kind of way, TV's are unobtrusive enough to ignore if you're not there for a sporting event, beer selection is good and priced appropriately for the neighborhood. The food (truffle fries, nachos, wings, nachos, fish sandwich) was all satisfying and a cut above most pub food--nice sauces, nice presentation, really solid.
Our server was nice, but a little on the slow and inattentive side. And yes, the place was mostly full and busy on a Tuesday night, but it was also adequately staffed and nobody looked like they were sweating too badly. Waiting until we're empty on our first round and I have to seek out eye contact to get a food order in is a little disappointing for a place that's doing an awful lot right.
I like the concept and I'll be back. But maybe have separate servers for the bar and the floor?
