Absolutely wonderful! Ambience on Valentine’s Day was so pleasant, food and service excellent! Wings were some of the best quality and taste I have had and my wife who doesn’t do chicken on the bone hasn’t stopped raving about them! $30 for a bottle of crisp New Zealand Sauvignon is outstanding value for NYC even if it was happy hour! As a record collector it was on my list and I can safely say when we are back in NYC in the not too distant future I hope we will be making a few more visits as really wish we had got to you earlier in our trip!

I strongly recommend the porridge! The flavoring is mild in the best way. You can simply enjoy the natural savoriness of the chicken, the sweetness of the vegetables and the brightness of the herbs. The ratio of chicken to rice was too large in my opinion (too much chicken, too little rice), but some may prefer this. Braised beef short ribs were nice, but I probably would not order it again. The sweet soy sauce was delicious and the snowman shaped mochi were fun to chew. However, the short ribs were quite tough. I would certainly return because I had a great experience overall. The loud music is not ideal and the service could be more timely. This is balanced out by a solid gastronomical experience and the fascinating library-like decor. Another honorable mention is the cold pressed apple juice. It’s a very tasty and unique beverage!

A flower shop/cafe/restaurant is gonna blow your mind. Beautiful interior design of a library. The seating inside is very cute. You can sit in these tall chairs next to the shelves and it'll look like you are framed artwork. The service is good. They filled up our water pretty frequently and the servers were very welcoming. We got the Caesar salad. It was good but probably had a little too much dressing. I had the bulgogi burger paired with fries which were delicious. Very juicy and get ready for your hands to get messy. A nice combo of sweet but also salty with the bulgogi. My wife got the bulgogi kimchi fried rice which was also delicious. Not as spicy as other kimchi fried rice I've had. Definitely make a reservation when going even for lunch or dinner as the restaurant can get very crowded.

This place was superb! The atmosphere is phenomenal, the service was amazing and the food was finger licking good. The only thing that could be a negative is that they only accept American Express or cash so plan accordingly.

The inside is beautifully decorated with the real tree and flower. The wall decorating with a lot of real book. We ordered the potato wedge, chicken wings and strip steak. Chicken wings are not to be missed! Get both flavors and do the half and half. They made really fresh order by order. It still hot inside When it serve it even we left a few minute. The food presentation really beautiful that show the effort from the chef. So impressed. We enjoyed everything that we ordered It really is just an awesome place to enjoy a meal we definitely to return for another date night soon.

Gorgeous restaurant! Food was stellar, possibly the best fried chicken wings I’ve ever had. They are MASSIVE! I recommend coming for their happy hour where each wing is $2. We also got the baechu jeon, artichokes, and bibimbap. The baechu jeon was a hit, downright inspirational to me in how I make my cabbage. The bibimbap was very refreshing and light, the rice provided the heartiness of the meal. The artichokes were alright, but the garlic aioli is really the star of the show here. For drinks we tried every martini (dirty/pickle/pepper) and they were perfect in every way. I’ll come back!

Went with a group of friends and we all chose the tasting menu, there was more then enough for everyone + extra. The Food is delicious especially the Korean Fried Chicken and Kimchi Rice. Can be Really cute date spot with all the flower decor and bar seating within the bookshelvs.

Food and atmosphere were good. Drinks came out after entrees but were still tasty! Main issue we had was that we paid in big bills and the staff added all of our change as tip without telling us or offering any back. We sat at a cleared table for ten minutes like fools and then had to awkwardly ask for change back lol. Prob not a place I’d advocate for people to dine at tbh.

We had a lovely wintertime experience at Mono+Mono. The holiday decorations were absolutely beautiful. This place makes you want to snuggle in with a warm blanket, sip a cocktail, nosh on delicious food and relax. We had a very friendly hostess who sat us promptly at our reservation time. We were immediately provided water, one of my most favorite attributes when dining out, and quickly met by our server. At first it felt rushed as he was very quick about drinks and ordering but as time went, I think he was simply being efficient. The food was fabulous. Yes- order the wings!! Sounds crazy but these might be some of the best I've ever had. My only disappointment is I wish we would have tried more dishes. Guess that's what next time is for :) Put this place on your list. You won't be disappointed.

This restaurant is only good for aesthetics. The interior looks really nice. However the food was just so so. Maybe I ordered the wrong dishes ? I ordered the pork tenderloin which was seasoned a bit too much and there was just so much sauce drenched on top of the pork. The steak was just okay, nothing special. They have to do something about the chairs which are hard and like the ones you see in classrooms. I saw some chairs at other tables that were much nicer. I didn't know until I scanned the QR code for the menu that they only accept cash or Amex, but usually not everyone has Amex. We told the server we only had Visa and when it looked like we were going to leave, she said she would confirm and came back and said they accept Visa.... So then why are they saying they don't ?

My friends and I visited this restaurant on a Wednesday evening, and overall, we had a pleasant experience. The ambiance was lovely, with tasteful decor that added to the charm. Although our larger party was accommodated, the seating was a bit snug but still comfortable enough. What we ordered: * Korean Beef Tartare (Yukhoe) * Strip Steak * Bulgogi Kimchi Fried Rice * Baby Artichoke with Garlic Aioli The standout dishes for me were the Korean beef tartare and the strip steak. The steak was cooked to perfection--tender, flavorful, and paired beautifully with its side dishes. The yukhoe was another highlight, beautifully garnished and balanced with vegetables and a sauce that brought the dish together harmoniously. The bulgogi kimchi fried rice was good, but it didn't particularly stand out compared to similar dishes I've had elsewhere at a lower price point. As for the baby artichoke, it was just okay--nothing remarkable in flavor. The overall experience was enjoyable, especially for the ambiance and service.

Very aesthetically pleasing, decent food, and mid service. While the ambiance is beautiful, the seating is extremely tight with no hooks for coats or bags- making things a bit uncomfortable in this cooler weather. They have a wide selection of unique cocktails and tasty meals. The bibimbap was delicious, Truffle Japache was tasty but a bit oily. I definitely recommend the coconut cake for dessert. Everything came out pretty quickly after ordering and somehow managed to fit on our table. I'm giving 3 stars as a glass was dropped on me by a server, leaving shards of glass in my seat. Accidents happen and I'm glad I was not cut by the glass but it did not feel safe and was probably due to everything being so tightly packed. Not sure I will return.

I seen Mono+Mono all over Tiktok, so my guard was up when I walked in. In my experience, places that are hyper curated like this tend to lack attention to detail when it comes to the food, and I was here to GRUB. I was nervous as I walked in with my big bro, my grand big bro, and grand bigs sister. Grand big RARELY invites me to dinner, so this was a big event. This place passed the vibe check with flying colors. Little 2 seat high top tables tucked under a 20 foot wall of 15,000 vinyl records, the most beautiful floral arrangements you've ever seen, jars of fermented foods above the bar, honestly one of the best ambiances I've seen in the city. It was almost too good. My words feel futile trying to describe it. As our group was appreciating the modernist quasi-industrial interior, I said "I hope it's not just fluff to hide some mid-food... it's feelin real fluffy in here..." Right when the words left my mouth I wished I could have them back. Grand big shot me a look that I can only liken to a prime Mike Tyson in a pre fight faceoff. I knew I would get a knuckle sandwich later. We opted to share everything and ordered 12 wings (6 garlic & 6 spicy), shishito peppers, a baby artichoke, bulgogi fried rice, and 2 bulgogi burgers. I almost ordered a martini but grand big doesn't drink, that would have been strike 2. The crispy wings made me eat my words right off the bat. They were delicious. No fluff. I couldn't decide if I liked the garlic or the spicy more. The shishito peppers did their thing as well. I didn't eat the artichoke because I never understood the artichoke hype, but the rest of the table loved it. The bulgogi fried rice was GAS, but was a small portion for $22.95 if we are keeping it a buck. The burgers were the only thing that we got where my fluff meter was correct. It was eh. Although this was the first bulgogi burger I've ever had to be fair. When I come back, it will be for the wings, shishito peppers, and a couple of martinis as these drinks looked bomb. All in all, Mono+Mono should be in the dictionary next to "ELITE 2nd date spot." I'm out the game now, but fellas this should be your only 2nd date spot. Cute restaurant with beautiful decor. Love the wall seating that looks like you're sitting in a library. The staff were friendly and came to check up on us a couple times through the night. My favourite dish was the japchae - it was nicely flavored and loved the mushrooms in the dish. The kimchi fried rice wasn't spicy but a bit oily for my personal preference. The wings were delicious but we couldn't tell what the sauce was and it was a bit too liquid. I really liked the White Peach Bellini cocktail so I would recommend!

We were able to walk in on a Friday before 5 PM and the restaurant was mostly empty. It was full by the time we were leaving though. I loved the ambiance and the interior was decorated beautifully for the holidays in December! We ordered the bulgogi kimchi fried rice and added an egg, and half and half of the soy garlic and hot and spicy wings for happy hour. The wings are $2 for happy hour from 3-5 PM and you have to order them by the half dozen. The food was good, but nothing special in my opinion. However, I would come back for the ambiance!

My overall rating for this highly anticipated restaurant was 3.5 stars. We were a party of 3 for Saturday dinner at 5:15. They let you know that you have an hour and 45 minutes until they need the table back. You MUST bring cash or AMEX card only!!!! I completely missed this. You see it on the menu page. They have an atm inside for you to take out cash for a fee. We were seated right by the entrance leading towards the kitchen/restrooms. It was honestly the worst seats in this beautiful restaurant. Not only that their table is small. We barely fit all of our foods and drinks on the table. Very cramped! It was uncomfortable. While we were eating, they decided to mop the hallway floor with clorox right by us. Perhaps there was a spill while delivering food. I am not sure, but it stanched so badly that it ruined my dining experience. I was inhaling cleaning supply while eating their delicious food. The other thing was a man (worker/owner) decided to climb up on a giant pot of flowers and add some flowers to it while people are dining around. Then he proceeded to spray water or whatever is in his bottle at the plants right by us and the customers near. Like what is going on here??? The other odd part was our drinks came much later than the food. The waiter that sat us and took our orders disappeared at some point so we had to ask bus boys/other workers in black to give us more water, utensils, and drinks. More than halfway into our meal we got another waiter who introduced himself and said he was taking over. The second waiter was excellent. Everything we ordered was delicious: Baechu Jeon, bbim bbim bap, soy and garlic sauced chicken wings and braised beef ribs. Our cocktails were also great. The kitchen staff & the bartenders are cooking amazing food and making great cocktails. However, the hostess/waiters team needs to do a better job here (except the second waiter) we had. The hostess never had a smile nor friendly greeting. Maybe I came at a bad time or maybe it's like this all the time. But the service needs to be consistent and well delivered. It needs to match their delicious dishes & drinks.

I came here with a group of 4 this past Friday for a friend's birthday dinner! The service here was good! Food came out quick. Interior design is a vibe! mono chicken wings (half and half) - amazing, crispy, and def worth it! truffle japchae - fav dish, really good and smells even better beef tartare - decent! galbi jjim - decent! the cocktails here were very very good. your typical beloved cocktails with soju integrated, it worked really well! they also had a dj playing music throughout the whole night - which was really loud to a point where we couldn't hear each other in conversation, granted we were seated right by the speakers/dj, I'm sure the noise level is different in other places of the restaurant. i would say that is my only complaint here.

I've been to Mono + Mono a few times and I always love coming here. I tend to go during the week so I always miss the crowds. It's a beautiful restaurant and you can definitely appreciate it more during the off hours. For drinks, I always order the espresso martini. It's well balanced and on the happy hour menu. For food, I tend to go for the bulgogi kimchi fried rice as my entrée. We'll order the mono wings and shishito peppers for the table. I've tried all the desserts at some point and the coconut cake is my favourite. The portions are large considering the price point. They have vegetarian and gluten free options. Be prepared to pay with either cash or Amex.

The ambiance here is second to none and the wings are irresistible - Perfect girl dinner or date night spot with great servers and delicious dishes and drinks.

Great dining experience at Mono+Mono! My girlfriend saw the restaurant on Tiktok and we gave it a chance and I'm glad we did. It looked just as pretty as in the videos. The decor is so unique and intimate. Perfect for date night. They even had a DJ that night (Sunday). Please note it's cash or AMEX only. The host was nice enough to waive it our first visit because we were unaware. We were seated quickly and ordered an app and drinks. I had the Lychee + Peach and she had the Cherry + Raspberry. We both LOVED our drinks. I could've had plenty more of mine. We scarfed down the Potato Wedges and were shocked by the portion size of it. My girlfriend was really enticed to visit because of the Bulgogi Burger so she had to order it. She finished half of it and wished she was still hungry for the rest because it was delicious. She loved how juicy and flavorful it was. The only downside was that they didn't include more sauce for such a big burger. I ordered the Braised Beef Short Rib and it was one of my favorite dishes of 2024! I couldn't even finish the portion so it was good for the price. The flavor and cook were perfect. I really loved the potatoes in it. It also didn't make me feel disgustingly full. We also had a Soju Bomb. Also note every drink has soju!

Mono Mono has an incredible ambience inside, beautiful plants, lighting, and rotating record display. I watched a server trim and rearrange various plants for probably 30 minutes straight. We managed to snag a high top table nestled among the vinyl collection, which was adorable. Only tried the Truffle Japchae and potato wedges but both were delightful. Service was average, there seemed to be some sort of miscommunication between servers, but overall this did not detract from the dining experience. Would love to come back.

This was a nice spot for dinner. I had the kimbob, which had a nice variety of crunchy vegetables and well-seasoned rice. The price was also fairly reasonable at $25 after tax and tip. The restaurant is also a really beautiful space with all the natural wood and the plants. The only credit cards they accept are Amex, so bring one of those or some cash.

Service is a bit slow and the seating isn't as comfortable as it's pretty tight and there are no bag hooks. All three of us had to try our best to get someone's attention to get some water and our orders in. Shishito Peppers + Okra was well seasoned and textured. We finished it up before all the other dishes came out. Kimchi Fried Rice was actually pretty fire; as a Korean myself I don't really order dishes I think I can make at home but this was pretty unique and so tasty. Recommend getting that fried egg on top! Still Cash or Amex only!!

AMEX or cash only. Cons: - When you're a party of three, they seat you at party of two table and throw in that extra chair. Guess they need to keep the other tables opened. It was uncomfortable because the tables were so small, it was very difficult to fit our entrees, apps, drinks and all the other stuff they had on that mini table. Not sure why they decided to bring the entrees out the same time as our appetizer. The least they could've done was give us a bigger table if that's how they'll serve. - Difficult to get our waiter, or any of the servers attention for that matter. - AMEX and cash only (yes, im mentioning this again). Pros: - wings were on point! crispy on the outside, juicy inside. - galbi was ok. there was a piece that was dry and rock hard. only piece left on the plate. - plenty of chicken amongst other goodies in the congee. - bibimbap, also plenty of ingredients as well. $2 extra for the egg, $4 for bulgogi. Not sure what the hype is with the interior setting. It's OKK. Overall, it's neat to check it out, but I would not return.

Ambiance of love. Someone put a lot into creating this very unique space. On this August night it was relatively cool and the front of the restaurant was open enhancing a great atmosphere. Great cocktails and good food. Service was prompt albeit a little impersonal. AMEX and cash only. They do have an ATM. They should tell you this when you sit down. This is a big no no these days.

This is my friend's favorite spot and she wanted to bring me. I loved it!! What a vibe in there. It's really sexy in there and also has a garden feel. They even have hydrangeas and lavender for sale. There's one area of seatings that literally has plants all over the place. It's very pretty! And then the other side is decorated with vinyls, very cool! We started with some drinks. The ricewine sangria was delicious - I had a couple. Almost like juice! We shared a bunch of things. Artichoke, potato wedges, tartare, truffle japchae, and the Korean chicken wings. Everything was really good. The truffle japchae really stood out for me, wish we had more. And the fried chicken was amazing.... I'm a fan of the soy garlic. We had a great time. Everything was amazing! Definitely want to come back.

If you want to impress people or have a very nice dinner, then this is DA SPOT! The vibes, decor, service, cleanliness and atmosphere really shoots this up to a 4.5 rounded to 5. It's the type of place you come in and say WOW, you won't see another place like it. It can be a bit compacted so definitely get a reservation and if you are doing a night for two, highly recommend the section by the records as they operate similar to booths. I originally came here with a large group to celebrate my friend's birthday. Luckily that meant we got to try quite a selection of food. Food Bangers for me were the Baechu Jeon - Which is a korean pancake that is cooked to this crispy savory delight. They serve sauce on the side that pairs well. The Chicken wings are a classic and is a recommendation. Definitely above average compared to other k-wings, especially if you love them saucy. I was a bit disappointed in the Jujube tenderloins though. For 35 bucks, it was overcooked and to me seemed like the other entrees were better. Overall food is solid but not mind-blowing. The place is a solid 4.5 rounded to 5 because it doesn't feel like a 4. Interior and cleanliness are top notch. Service is great and for a birthday person they give flowers :). Give it a try

This spot has amazing vibes!! the inside was such a unique atmosphere. We sat toward the street, but they did an incredible job of making you feel like you were in your own world. And the food was good! The wings were incredible and we couldn't stop eating them. My husband got the bulgogi kimchi fried rice with an egg, and he loved it! I got the bibimbop with bulgogi, which I probably wouldn't get next time. It was good, but was missing something. We both ordered the lychee martinis and they were absolutely delightful. This spot was pretty affordable and so unique, so 5 stars!

This place has been on my list for some time now and finally got to go. From the moment you walk in you're welcomed by the unique interior. It's truly amazing seeing all the vinyls on the wall and some going through the restaurant. Drinks: we got the blueberry soju and although I liked it I wouldn't get it again. It was a little thick in consistency for my liking Food: the chicken wings are a must!! We almost didn't order but since it was what they're known for we did and they sure did not disappoint. The short ribs were also so perfectly cooked and I could pull apart the meat so easily. The flavor was so amazing and it kept you wanting more. Lastly were the mushroom glass noodles. What I loved about this dish is that they used a variety of different mushrooms and not just one so if you're a mushroom fanatic like me I'd encourage you to try it out.

I met friends for happy hour at 3pm. It was a group of seven. Love the ambiance. I ordered the bulgogi burger and the green apple sangria. One of my friends who ordered wings let me have one of his garlic soy wings. The service was punctual. Everything was excellent. I would recommend.

Such a cute place and the food was really good. Probably some of the best wings we've had! 100% get the wings. They were delicious. The bibimbap was good. The kimchi fried rice was great. The artichokes were just ok. Came around 2pm on a Sunday and it was pretty empty. Service was a little slow but nothing bad. Will come back!

came here as a party of 5 on a Saturday without reservations, and I would recommend reservations if you want to sit in the aesthetic backroom with the vinyls but unfortunately since we were walk in we were closer to the front close to the door. None the less the aesthetic was still really nice! I enjoyed the food and drinks at this location. We ordered a variety of items on the menu including the oysters, wings, kimchi fried rice, burger, salad, fries and soup. Everything was pretty good! I highly recommend the chicken wings!!

Aesthetically pleasing, it's a beautiful spot filled with books and flowers, an ideal place to relax and have a chill evening. The staff is impressive, clearly well-trained and attentive, checking in frequently and going that extra mile to make the experience worth it. I had some of the best oysters, with generous portions of meat. I think we each downed atleast 6-8 pieces per person. The truffle Japchae was outstanding, house salad and kimchi fried rice were not far. One can make out that they use quality ingredients and focus a lot on getting the flavors right. The Bellini and rice wine sangria were perfect refreshments for a warm summer evening. My only suggestion to them is to include more seafood options. As a non meat eater, it's challenging to navigate a menu dominated by meat. I'd love to return, but the limited options for vegetarians are a drawback.

Pretty good experience overall! We booked a Saturday 6pm resy for 4 the day before. The vibe here is immaculate; I mean the interior is beautifully done, evoking a rustic library/garden/bar with mood lighting. We sat near the window and didn't have an issue with there being too much noise. What we ordered ranked with my favorites first: Truffle japchae - really flavorful. If you like mushrooms, this is for you. Galbi jjim - meat was tender, and everything else (mushrooms, potatoes, etc) soaked in the broth so it was all delicious. Kind of hard to share though. How do you split a single mushroom?? A little pricey for the portion size. Bulgogi kimchi fried rice - I enjoyed it. I don't think the cheese did anything for me. Baechu jeon (Napa cabbage pancake) - good. No lasting impression other than that they plated the pancake over what appeared to be a corn husk, which we found entertaining. Shishito peppers and okra - pretty boring dish; you can skip it. Service was a little brusque. Different people came by to try to take our plates when we clearly weren't done, so I felt slightly rushed. I'm chalking it up to them just trying to be more attentive than not. Overall, I think this place really wins with the ambience and some pretty good food to boot, and I would come back.

Beautiful restaurant + delicious food + ideal location to start the night = MONO + MONO Went for a girls night and the server made the Birthday dessert so special by tossing rose petals like confetti! Pro tip! Go family styled here, so much to try!

The food is good, specifically the garlic wings are delicious yummmm. This was my second time here but this time we sat outside. We came for my friend's birthday and they put a candle in the desert for us. The rest of the food was tasty but nothing else really stuck out. The truffle noodles were good. The outside was pretty chill the inside is very cool and moody, it has a music record theme. Service was nice and quick.

4 stars for the truffle japchae and that alone. Otherwise, would give this place a 3 stars. We came here for a group dinner to celebrate a birthday and opted for the group meal. Overall, it was pretty worth it bang for your buck. Got a lot of food for 50pp (pre tax and tip) and the service was really fast! We got SO many apps, was pretty full by the time the mains came out to be honest. My favorite apps were the jeon and the salad. Not a fan of the shishito peppers, potatoes had a nice crisp but were a bit too filling as an app, and the soy garlic wings had a great flavor and super crispy but a bad meat to skin ratio. For mains, got the truffle japchae and bibimbap. Truffle japchae was AMAZING. Such a strong truffle flavor from the truffle oil and truffle paste and the mushrooms were cooked perfectly. The bibimbap tasted very fresh and healthy with thinly sliced veggies, just wish it was hot stone so the rice was charred. Overall, great place for a large party!

Took my parents here (we had a reservation) and the staff were being extremely weird. I can't explain it. Just a little offputting and with very little regard to us and they were obviously much kinder to other parties. Food was good and ambience is unique. Just the service that makes me hesitant to ever come back.

Instagram worthy restaurant decorated with beautiful flowers and a wall full of vinyls. The only thing I enjoyed about the place was the ambiance and the decor. The food and service were nothing to be of note. The crisp on the wings were delicious but I found that the chicken itself had no flavour. I would recommend going during their happy hour as it seems like they have good deals.

Surprisingly it was easy for me to make a reservation for a Friday around 6pm. I think this place is more about the decor and vibes than the food and drinks. The wings were ok but weren't spicy or very flavorful to me at all. The oysters were good but I kept getting little pieces of shells which I can't stand! However, the service was good! I was worried about this based on other reviews but I had no complaints about service. Both our waitresses were friendly and attentive. Drinks were good but had a lot of ice in them. The star of the show was definitely the bulgogi burger and the steak. Both were delicious and cooked perfectly. The fries needed to be a little more crispy but I ate them up! My boyfriend's steak was sooo buttery and a perfect medium.

I love the food and drink quality, along with the ambiance and the decor here. Customer service from the owner however was very disappointing so 3.5 stars rounded up to a 4. They accept AMEX and cash only. ORDERED: MONOMONO Wings (Half & Half): the texture was just perfect. We ended up ordering another one after the first one was done. I like the hot + spicy ones over the garlic ones nonetheless they were both delicious. Half Dozen Oysters: very fresh and decently sized. Bulgogi Kimchi Fried Rice + Fried Egg: it was so delicious. Love the flavor. Bulgogi Burger w. Fries: both the fries and the burgers were delicious. The fries were also crispy. Espresso Martini: it was so good. I prob had 3 of them. I came here with my friend the other day and would say this place is sooo cute for a perfect date or friend get together. The staff were pretty nice to us and I had the bulgogi burger with fries. It was pretty good but not as good compared to the wings my friend and I shared. We ordered the 12 piece "half and half" which is soy garlic and spicy wings. They were the best I ever had honestly and were flavorful and crispy. I will definitely recommend this spot 10/10!

MONO+MONO is located in the heart of East Village and conveniently within walking distance from the 2 Av subway station. Today, I met with my good friends for a happy hour get-together. Upon my arrival, I asked if we could be seated toward the back of the restaurant. However, the owner wouldn't allow it. I chose the table near the front entrance. Happy Hour Cocktails Ricewine Sangria (Green Apple) Espresso Martini Happy Hour Special MONOMONO Wings (Half & Half) - I liked the soy garlic wings more than the hot & spicy ones. Bulgogi Burger w. Fries - The bulgogi burger was flavorful, especially topped with American cheese, tomato, pickled jalapeno, onion, and mixed greens. The fries were crispy and tasty. Bulgogi Kimchi Fried Rice + Fried Egg - The bulgogi kimchi fried rice topped with a fried egg and melted mozzarella cheese was flavorful. Half Dozen Oysters MONOMONO Cocktail Blueberry (Virgin) - refreshingly delicious Bellini The space between the bar and our table felt tight. One of the servers kept bumping into my chair. I expressed my frustration to both the hostess and the owner. He did nothing about it and responded rudely. Note: They accept Amex and cash only!

Definitely an experience dining here because of their decor - I found their flowers, records, and books around all very unique! My friend and I came in the afternoon on a Saturday when it was raining, and we were seated immediately. Their happy hour offers are great so we went with drinks and then wings and fried rice to share. Although food was as expected, they unfortunately got our drinks order wrong - pretty funny situation. we ordered 1 raspberry rice wine sangria and 1 omija rice wine sangria and when the waiter brought it out, he placed the drinks down but they were both red so we weren't sure which was which. When we asked him which was raspberry and which one was omija, he swapped our drinks and said now it's right. However, when we took a sip we both had the omija! Ahahah we even tasted each other drinks and they were the exact same haha

UGH this place was incredible!! We had so many leftovers because we wanted to try so many things. We got the Shishito Peppers & Okra, Potato Wedges and Baechu Jeon as appetizers. We also got the Kimchi Fried Rice, Galbi Jjim and Mono Wings (half and half). Everything was good, but some items were truly amazing - the shisito peppers and galbi jjim had to be #1. Both were done so well with the flavors and the textures. The interior is also super cute/unique! Overall, 11/10.

Had a reservation and asked to be seated in one of the high tops against the wall, since it wasn't busy I would wait but she got distracted and a different person seated another party at the table I was waiting on. Eventually I was able to be seated and my order was taken. I will say that I wish the staff had been a bit more attentive, there was a long waits in between being checked on and I had to ask twice for a cocktail. Overall my experience was a bit disappointing as I was looking forward to dining there. I do a lot of solo dining and I don't know if that was the reason it felt that I was forgotten about about on more than one occasion. Outside of the disappointment in the service, the restaurant is beautiful, the food was tasty. The music was amazing it has a really nice vibe and is perfect for a date, just not the best experience for a lone diner.

Is it still 1976? This place only takes cash & Amex. If you only have these limited payment options maybe have an ATM or a loan shark available. Who doesn't take MasterCard or Visa in 2024? Iwent to the corner deli and had a liverwurst, cheese, onion and mayo sandwich with a small bag of cheese doodles and a pint of regular milk, chilled but not too cold. Followed by some minty minty After Eights. Yum Yum Yummy Yum!

Come for the great interior, but don't come back for the service. Seems to be a trend, looking at a few other reviews. The positives: over-the-top decorated classy space, mostly good jazz playing, and good selection of cocktails. Everything was going fine until the end of the meal. The negatives: the service. We had a reservation and it was clear that we had the table for 90 minutes. We finished our meal in 60 and one of us went to the bathroom. The other was waiting at the table with our takeout boxes. The waitress came up and asked if he was done. When told that he was just waiting for a friend to be done with the bathroom, the waitress promptly said that she needed the table and to wait outside. I get that you're trying to run a business, but there's no need to treat your customers in this way :/

Beautiful space with lots of fresh flowers and really cute decor. A group of us came for a friend bday and honestly everything we ordered tasted good including the cocktails! i'd recommend getting the fried chicken, kimchi fried rice and the braised beef. For drinks, the blueberry soju cocktail was pretty tasty. Perfect for people who don't like the taste of alcohol! The staff were super friendly and gave the bday girl a really beautiful rose.

I had been going back and forth about whether to come to Mono+Mono due to the mixed reviews. I figured now would be a good time to see for myself. So me and my friend ventured to LES to try it out. As you have all seen on social media, Mono+Mono is incredibly aesthetic. Lots of vintage touches, greenery, vinyls on a conveyer belt, and picked jars on the walls. Music is a bit on the louder side but I thought the playlist was quite good! Once my friend arrived, we were seated immediately. We had a fantastic server (Erika? I think) who was amazing and checked in on us several times. Both of us decided tried the truffle japchae which was incredibly good. I got the omija sangria and my friend got the green apple sangria. Both were very very good. My friend told them it was my birthday so they came out with the coconut cake with a candle, a rose, and some petals, which was an incredibly nice touch. The cake was also extremely good. All in all, this was a fantastic place for dinner. Just remember to bring an Amex or cash!

Beautiful ambiance. AMAZING food. HORRIBLE seating and dining experience if you are a party of 2 (couples beware). Seating is spacious and centrally located where the ambiance and decor is beautifully accented by floral displays and vinyl record walls - but ONLY if you are a bigger party. My partner and I wanted to sit away from the crowded, crammed 2-party tables, so the hostess made us choose between an area that made us nauseous and dizzy from chemical/paint fumes (we think it was all the new holiday decor that was still off-gassing), or a claustrophobic corner squished between some kind of armoire desk furniture and a window wall where there was a freezing cold draft on us, and no room for our arms or legs. I had to sit facing sideways from the table, since my legs could not fit under it, and because my arm could not use utensils without my elbow banging onto the wall. I also had to keep my winter coat on while dining because the draft from the window wall was so cold. Our table was so tiny we thought our dishes would fall off. Every move we made had to be calculated to not have glasses and dishes fall off. I think we were extremely unlucky with our table and location - it was stressful. Other than that, the food was amazing and redeemed the otherwise soured experience, and is the reason this review got any stars at all. We ordered the truffle japchae, which was out of this world - the star dish. The kimchi fried rice with fried egg, and braised chicken porridge were absolutely delicious as well. Our server provided fast, pleasant and attentive service too. Note that the music is loud and clubby which was overwhelming and didn't fit the vibe of the place. Could we try something jazzy and classy on lower volume? It looks like many reviews complained about the same pain points I mentioned, so hopefully management takes the feedback to design a less stressful dining environment. We might return for the wonderful food someday, but only during a slower time for a less claustrophobic experience, maybe during lunch or earlier in the week instead.

I wrote a recent review about the cocktails here. They are still amazing. I could pass on the pine-flavored one (it was a lacking flavor). This time I came early enough to try the food! First, it means a LOT to me that they take reservations for one. I travel for business alone often, and many places won't allow a single to make a reservation, and when they do, they relegate them to the bar. The fact that this spot not only allowed me to make a reservation, but sat me at a regular table assures this will be one of my go-to spots. And it does get busy, so reservations are recommended. Despite being busy, service was still on point. I got the parmesan fries, which were crispy, super hot, and tasty. The fries are thick wedges and could be plenty for two. I also had the bulgogi burger. Bulgogi consists of thin, marinated slices of meat, usually beef. The bulgogi was moist and well-seasoned with a gentle spice. It was a generous portion and came with shoestring fries (which were a letdown after the wedges). And honestly, as a singular diner, this was WAY too much food! After the large portion of wedges, I could only eat about 1/2-3/4 of the burger and didn't touch the fries. I also had the decadent cheesecake. It was creamy, the perfect combo of tangy and sweet, and covered with fresh fruit. Wonderful way to wrap up the night.

Came for dinner with the girls over the weekend. Easy to get a resy and the servers were prompt in seating and serving us, but didn't love the meal or the strange payment policy. The menu was limited, not much was calling out to me. --Bulgogi kimchi fried rice- good flavor in the rice but barely tasted the bulgogi. Not enough and shredded too small so really the protein to carb ration was way off. --Mono wings in soy garlic- yummy. loved the double crunch but nothing spectacular. -Jujube pork tenderlon- very tender and good portion of meat. the sauce was good. such a hearty meal but didn't have much of an asian flare I was expecting. ---Cheesecake- simple. nothing was too overpowering. --Tiramisu. NOT tiramisu....more like tiramisu flavored cake..we didn't like this at all. Very misleading... too subtle of a tiramisu taste. Their cocktails menu is written oddly, it's in a table format which I found hard to read. Didn't end up ordering anything but the Coco cane mojito looked popular amongst other tables. The vibe is cool- perfect for date night if you can sit in the elevated table-in-a-frame near the records wall. The strangest thing...they ONLY take AMEX and CASH! I don't know the reason behind it but it seems strange seeing how visa/mc are usually way more accepted. Not very convenient for customers and a shady look for the business honestly. Return? probably not Recommend? if you can snag a date night table by the records sure but otherwise probably not.

I had such a great time coming here. The vibe of the restaurant was very well coordinated with records on a rotation, framed seating, and low lighting. The staff was attentive and kind which complimented how great the food and drinks were. Only thing that sets it apart was the rule of only being able to pay with cash or Amex but otherwise, it was great!

I went on a Thursday evening with no appointment. We were seated in less than 5 mins despite it being a bit busy. The food, ambiance and decor were on point. 2 things that threw me off was... #1 we were seated in the "book shelf" area the space was super tight, i had no where to place my small bag... when the food came out it was packed on the table it made me uncomfortable that it would tip over any moment. #2 was i noticed the worker that would bring us our dishes or take away the dirty dishes from the table when they left didn't even sanitize the table... Not even a new napkin or towel to clean the table but he used the tissues that were already on the table to wipe it down and then placed the flower decor back on the table... the table wasn't evidently filthy but the least you can do is sanitize it properly... other than that i enjoyed the food and music.

Cons: we had to switch tables 3 times. Twice an SC unit dripped regularly on two of my companions. Then we moved to a smaller table and it couldn't fit all our plates. Pros: service. I got the clam chowder and oysters. My friend got the chicken porridge. My other friend got the ribs and squash soup. Her daughter got the chicken wings. I liked the crunchy texture and the flavor.
