This museum is a hidden gem, offering one of the most captivating experiences in Paris. It delves into the art of coin craftsmanship and the evolution of metalwork over time. The collection includes coins from ancient Greece, Rome, and modern eras. Beyond coins and ingots, you’ll discover fascinating stories, such as the recovery of treasures from a sunken Dutch ship. Visitors can also explore the impressive coin-printing machines in action. Ideal for families, friends, or anyone seeking a unique activity, this museum offers a relaxed experience without the long queues typical of Parisian attractions. Conveniently located near the Louvre, it’s a perfect addition to your visit.

I think this museum was very interesting and extensive, but not too large. Texts are written in English as well which is nice. The building is beautiful and the exhibition covers many themes related to Monnaie de Paris, and money in general. I liked it how the exhibition is divided into suitable-sized parts, which makes it easier to follow. The texts are of optimal length. And of course, they have the Paris Olympic medals on display! Also, at least around 14 pm on Sunday, there were no lines at all and one could just walk in.

We have had a good time with father. He enjoys this a lot, we bought quite a few collectibles (coins). Very good place for someone who is into this stuff

Very beautiful building next to Seine River. This year. The place hosted the 10th anniversary of Asia Now exhibition Art Paris.

I visited here a few years ago. The exhibition was great, as was the museum building itself.

Great museum, well worth the visit. I was extremely surprised to see it almost empty on a Saturday morning, which is a great way to escape the crowds of the other typical Paris touristic places. The store has a nice selection of souvenirs, with prices ranging from a few euros to thousands... Be sure to watch the video explaining the new factory. In general I appreciate the mix of art, engineering, and "savoir faire" displayed by this institution. Highly recommended, especially if you are looking for something different in Paris than the typical places, but still very interesting

We've been visiting the Museum on August 23 for the permanent exhibition and also temporary exhibition featuring Money in the Art. Famous and iconic subjects are on display in this museum covering more than millennial operation of coin minting in France. I particularly loved the items on consumerism in the Art.
