"Like the butterfly its named after, Monarch Park flits between a hub of community activity, a place to play and connect, and a quiet walk amongst nature. With an off leash dog area (and a great dog/human community), an outdoor pool (diving board, slide, wading pool, everything) that runs through the summer, and a skating rink in the winter, there's always something different to do year round. Or plop down on the grass, read a book and people/dog watch everyone else enjoy their day at the park." - Kev Seto

Good times, good times, good times. Great place for a respite from the good summer's heat. More than just a pool. There are many mature trees, benches, picnic tables, a cool stone table tennis table, lovely gardens, a playground, a big off leash area and a cool tunnel connecting the Southside of the tracks to the park.

One of the best dog parks in the east end. Large off-leash area that is not fenced in, covering almost 1/4 of the park. Big municipal pool and hockey rink in a lovely setting. I visit every day.

Such a wonder park. Lots of space for kids to run and play. Fenced in playground for younger kids. Large off leash dog area with grass hills, trees and rocks. Lots of great climbing trees for the kids. They also have a big pool and outdoor skating rink.

I went to Monarch park with my dog hoping to use the dog park. Unfortunately I didn't realize until I got there that the off-leash dog park within Monarch park is UNFENCED. This was to be my dogs first visit to an offleash dog park and there were lots of people around and young children. I didn't want my dog loose and running after a families ball or Frisbee or greeting a child too enthusiastically. We did walk with him all around the park. There's a fantastic full sized pool that was open. It also has a two story slide and diving area! A wading pool. There's a skating rink in winter. There's also a children's playground, bike trails, outdoor table tennis and a picnic site. When my dog is a little older and I trust him a little more I might try the unfenced off-leash dog park again.

Small park. Starbucks is 2 blocks away. You can see the CN tower. Nice pool for the summer(get there every 45mins for the wait times, lines get long in the summer!) overall a great setting to meet new people and let your dog chase a squirrel!

A laid back park in the Danforth area. There is an off leash area for dogs, a playground with a sandpit and slides and an outdoor pool with a wading pool in summer. Overall a nice park for a leisure stroll.

Beautiful gem in the city! Monarch Park is a serene oasis with stunning gardens, walking trails, and a tranquil atmosphere. The kids' playground and sports facilities are top-notch. Love spending afternoons here with family.
