The famous English muffin was the best!!! This English muffin is unlike the package one you can purchased at a grocery store. I heard about this delicious muffin from some strangers who absolutely adore the place. The entire staff were pleasant and made the experience pleasurable. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather eating on picnic tables that were cleaned and maintained. I just saw that there is now a location located in Walnut Creek . Try a slice of pizza which is just yummy to the tummy

Best English muffins you ever had. Great variety of artisanal breads, scrumptious pastries. Good coffee and fresh breakfast sandwiches. Fast, friendly and professional service, there is always a line out of the door , but it moves fast. Plenty of outdoor seating. It is very popular for a reason. This truly is a model bakery, do not miss!

Breakfast sandwich is one of the best I've tried. Made on house English Muffins, the breakfast sandwich hits all of the right notes. I started with the their suggested sandwiches and now modify the veggie (egg, tomato, hash browns, avocado) and add white cheddar and a sausage patty. Portion size is perfect for starting off the day. Their coffee is also top notch and goes with the sandwich or grab a pastry/cookie and enjoy. They do get busy, so be prepared for a line to order and a wait for them to call your order. Worth it. Also the shop is small and tables do fill up quickly. 100% will go back.

We heard about this place from our hotel. Also saw it was on Oprah list of favorites for theor famous English muffin. It didn't disappoint at all! We got that, the spicy chorizo portable, the chipotle breakfast sandwich, and some apple dessert. Everything was fresh, hot, and incredibly good. The line gets long, but it moves fast. You can walk here from most of the downtown Napa hotels. It's also next to Oxbow Market, so go around the corner there too.

Part of Napa History! The Model Bakery opened its second location in the Oxbow Public Market in 2008, but they have been a cherished part of Napa for much longer! Owned by the mother-daughter duo Karen Mitchell and Sarah Mitchell Hansen, the bakery specializes in artisan bread made with organic stone-ground flours. They first started the bakery on St. Helena's Main Street, housed in a century-old brick building, in 1984. Over the decades, they have built a solid reputation for their breads, pastries, and coffee. The bakery offers a wide range of products, including artisan breads made with high-quality ingredients, pastries, cookies, and sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. Their English Muffins made such an impression on Oprah Winfrey that they were added to Oprah's Favorite Things list in 2016! When we visited the Oxbow Public Market location later in the day, they had already sold out most of their goods. Nevertheless, I ordered a coffee and began exploring. The place smells heavenly—if you enjoy the aroma of freshly baked goods. We shared a pastry, and it was delicious. Had it not been for my goal to lose a few pounds, I would have ordered several loaves of their various breads to take home! They look, smell, and, above all, taste wonderful. If you’re ever in Napa, a visit to Model Bakery should be on your list!

This is my first time here at Model Bakery. Here in Napa for some wine tasting and staying at the Westin just a 4 minute walk away. They open at 630 and I got there early today because I have heard there could be a long line since it is a very popular place. I noticed the door was half way open when I arrived so I stepped in and asked who I think was the manager or the owner, if I could come in and look at the menu and he replied yes so I did. I stepped back outside when I was done and waited and was the first in line. I ordered the English Muffin Breakfast Sandwich and a cinnamon roll. The girl that waited on me was very unfriendly!! I thought to myself WOW! I give the overall 4 stars because of her lack of friendliness to a 1 st time customer. The food I gave 5 stars because it was delicious!!! I could walk down every morning while visiting here but I may rethink it because of the poor experience from the girl that took my order.

This is a MUST if you’re in the Napa Valley area. We had a difficult time choosing everything that we wanted because it all looked amazing. However, the crowd favorite (and mine) is anything with their thick, fluffy on the inside, and crusty on the outside English muffins. This is not just a tourist must but also a local spot. I loved the English muffins so much that we also went to the Mini Model location in Yountville and I brought a 6-pk home with me!

The baked goods other than the English muffin was not worth the line up. Unfortunately after waiting 20+ minutes to pickup the order, my sausage English muffin was mixed up with the original, which was still pretty good, but sad about the lack of sausage nonetheless. The baked goods were all very cold, and tasted like they were in a fridge for days :(
