"Mirador Torre Latino, Centro Historico by Bryant Castro & Abel Coss from Open Late. This skyscraper is not only a Mexican landmark but is also an internationally recognized structure among engineers and architects: The Torre Latino was the first skyscraper successfully built in a highly seismic zone. The tower's lookout offers you an incomparable view at the city and also the opportunity to appreciate the buildings' engineering magnificence. Although this tower is considered a highly touristic place in our eyes, it should not stop us from appreciating a great view, so make sure you visit the top."

I’ve had the chance to visit twice, and both times were fantastic. The second time was a bit less crowded, but I think the best time to go is during golden hour—when the sky glows with warm, beautiful colors. You get a full 360-degree view of the city, which makes for such a great experience. There’s a bar and restaurant on the lower floors that I haven’t tried yet, but it might be worth checking out. There’s also a small museum area inside the building, which is a nice touch. Overall, it’s a must-do when visiting. I’d love to come back in the evening to see the city lights stretch across the skyline.

Google
Really great views of the entire city. The restaurant Miralto is very nice as well for a drink, brunch, or lunch/dinner. Mirador Torres Latino provides arguably the best views of the city with its panoramic views from the glass window facade.

Google
ADD IT TO YOUR LIST!! Mirador Torre Latino is worth the entrance fee. Try to go in a day with a good weather. I didn’t get too much of a weather but it yet delivered. The views are spectacular and give you a good snapshot of a good portion of the city from above. There is a bar at one of the last levels where you can enjoy the views at peace while sipping on a delicious cocktail. Don’t doubt and visit it!

Google
It’s definitely not as refined as other observation towers in other cities. On the other hand, it’s relatively inexpensive. Mexico city doesn’t have a good skyline. Visit for an aerial view of the Palacio de Bellas Artes next door.

Google
Mexico trip, Mexico City - The Torre Latinoamericana is a stunning landmark and a feat of engineering as the first major skyscraper in a seismic zone. The views from the top are breathtaking, and the queue was quick and hassle-free. We loved it so much we didn’t want to leave, taking time to sit and enjoy the beauty. A must-visit in Mexico City!

Google
Gorgeous building situated right in the heart of the historic center. The fact that this is one of the only tall building on the area makes it stand out from any angle. I was staying nearby and the view this building adds to the landscape is amazing.

Google
This tower, completed in 1956, offers amazing views of Mexico City and even surrounding states. As of January 2025, entrance is $220 for adults and is valid for the entire day, so you can enter as many times as you like.

While the views great, service was slow and the food was mediocre. Tried the Caesar salad and it was ok, carpaccio of squid was also ok, seemed fresh. Drinks were ok, nothing really stood out on the menu and the prices were middle of the road, but the views were great compared to paying for the tower viewing package.

Yelp
The girlfriend and I came to this fine structure as we were making our way to Miralto, the restaurant sitting at the stop of the building. We walked into the lobby, and we lined up to take the elevator to the 37th floor. From that floor, we had to stand in another line to go up several more floors, before taking the stairs to get to the restaurant. The tower itself is pretty nice. It reminds me of the Empire State Building, back when I lived in NYC. There is plenty of security and support staff to guide you to where you need to go, be it the many businesses that lease office space here, the observation deck, or the restaurant. Taking the elevators has a small wait, but it is reasonable. The observation deck is on a different floor than the restaurant, and they sell plenty of souveniers. I recommend the deck rather than the restaurant. Check my review of said restaurant if you need further convincing. For those like me who enjoy taking landscape photos, this place is a must. I recommend coming here close to golder hour to get more dramatic shots.

Cristina C.

Yelp
From the outside this tall building is not the nicest in Mexico, but so glad my dad suggested we go inside. You go up to the 37th floor which has a gift shop and a cafeteria. If you go up to the 42 & 43rd floor you go to the observation deck and get to see all of Mexico City. The price is reasonable and it makes for great views and pictures. Definitely check it out and you can grab snacks up there too.

Tiffany H.

Yelp
This tower is an interesting landmark for the city, and it's certainly still the tallest structures downtown. But I think the outside facade could definitely use some renovation, or at the minimum a cleaning. The stainless steel parts are tarnished and rusting, and it appears that the windows haven't been washed in over ten years. I had considered taking a trip to the upper level observation deck, but the coast of 200 pesos was somewhat prohibitive. Now that I live here half of the year, I've discovered a web cam that sits atop the same highest level. From that webcam I've been able to observe Alameda Park, and Bell's Artes from the high level. I've heard that there is also a restaurant on the top floors, and perhaps one day I will venture up there.

Yelp
The Latinoamericana restaurant has a nice view of the city. Food...nothing special! Ambience so so! Service just OK! Not worth it.

Veronique C.

Yelp
Great views from Mexico City from the observatory. Or you can do what we did, take a separate elevator to the restaurant on the 37th floor. From there tell them you want to go to the bar, go up a couple more levels and enjoy the views with a drink. Don't expect anything fancy, but we were seated by the floor to ceiling window, avoiding the line to the observatory elevator and paying the equivalent of one ticket for our two beers.

Yelp
This observation deck is worth checking out if you want amazing views of all of Mexico City and beyond. Torre Latinoamericana is an office building with an observation deck at the top in the Centro Historico area. We visited Torre Latinoamericana on a Friday before sunset and it wasn't too busy. You get tickets in the lobby area and are then asked if you're going to the restaurant or bar, as you don't need to purchase a ticket for that. We planned to go to the bar at first, but when we did, all of the tables by the window were taken. So we decided to get tickets for the deck. This actually turned out to be better anyway because the views from up top and outside were 100 times better than what you see from the bar or restaurant. If you're debating about that, I suggest visiting the deck over the restaurant or bar. You can always eat or drink somewhere else! The deck is the only viewing area where you can be outside, getting a better view of the city and mountains. You really can see all of the area, including the Zocalo area, famous sites and historic buildings, etc. We stayed until sunset when it became busy, and the views just got better with the lights, especially during the evening. We had a great time at this observation deck and would suggest to anyone who wants epic views of CDMX to check out Torre Latinoamericana. As previously mentioned, there is a restaurant and bar here, along with a small cafe area and a gift shop. Glad to have checked this out!

Yelp
Excellent place to eat nice Italian food, the view is magnificent when the city is free of Contamination, great Mexican wine list and also foreign wine is great , no reservations needed, casual outfit , definitely this place is highly recommended...

Stefanie C.

Yelp
Ahh I wish I could have checked out the actual observation deck of Torre Latinoamericana!! My friend took me to a little cafe on the 37th or so floor where we ordered coffee and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Great open air overlook of CDMX. Coffee wasn't the highlight, but what experience isn't made better by a little caffeine? Come here, take pictures, and explore! Then go back down to the ground floor and walk around.

Adam F.

Yelp
You're not here for the drinks. The drinks are... ok. Nothing too exotic or amazing, for the price (fine by LA standards, 110-180 pesos, but pricey by Mexico City prices, for nothing too crazy, and the mezcal mojito I tried, for $120, was perfectly drinkable but a bit watery.) The view, though... go to the bar, rather than paying to get up. Skipped the elevator line, too! Would you rather wait to pay to get up to see an amazing view of Mexico City (right by the Zocola, too!), or would you rather cut the line, pay $120 for a mediocre but passable cocktail (there are also some fancy 75-80 peso nonalcoholic mocktails, if you prefer), and get basically the same great view, plus it's calmer being a restaurant instead of the tourist floor? I'm happy with my choice. Edit: I gave them one more chance, tried the Electric Lemonade (lemonade, vodka, midori). Yep, passable but kinda watery. Also not stirred properly - better after stirring, but still a bit watery. 3 stars if this had been on the ground and in the US (at least *some* cocktails are honestly a good value booze-wise in comparison to LA, at least if it isn't during a happy hour), but 5 stars for the bar because you're basically paying for this epic view, and getting a "free" cocktail. Didn't try the food, obviously.

Charlene S.

Yelp
Such stunning views from this building! We came right before sunset so were able to enjoy the view before/after sunset. We came to the bar and got a few drinks to enjoy the view. Of course, we knew drinks would be pretty ordinary here, and that's exactly what they were. I got a Frozen Mango Margarita. After ordering, 20 minutes passed and I still hadn't gotten my drink. Our server was nowhere to be found, so I tried to flag down someone else. We were in a rush because we had to catch a show at Belles Artes, and we had made that known to our waiter when we ordered. Another 15 minutes passed and our drinks finally arrived. I would say the drink was what i expected - not very strong. But I was there for the view, so that's why this is a 4 star review.

Chassidy S.

Yelp
You cannot go to Mexico City without going to the top of the Torre Latinoamérica. Once you get off of the elevator there are multiple levels for you to view the city beneath you. There is glass all around the first observation deck, so you get a panoramic view of CDMX. From up top you see all of the major points of interest including Bellas Artes nearby and the never ending lines of traffic in CDMX. There are also small snack stands and a cafe if you're interested in lunch with an amazing view. If you decide to climb the extra six flights of stairs to go to the very top, you'll get see the city from a higher point of view. There isn't any glass there, but there is a fence. You won't fall, but if you get too brave with your cameras or phones, you'll drop them.

Yelp
Torre Latinoamericana is Mexico City's version of The Sears Tower, or Empire State Building. A tall building with an observatory overlooking the citry center. The price to go up is about $12 or so dollars. You take to elevators and a set of stairs to the very top. The view during the day is nice, you can see i to the city, and skyscrapers in the distance. You can also see El Palacio de Bellas Artes, and that is worth the entrance fee. It is an amazing building. We did not pay yhe extra money to see the museum, but once we wanted to exit, you have to go through it, unless a took a wrong turn and I wasn't supposed to, ot that was not the museum. Nevertheless I sae a good size exhibit and learned a lot about this tower, and some other interesting things about Mexico in general. The whole thing took less than two hours, so it is a nice little thing to add on a travel itinerary. The only thing is the air conditioning isn't great, it was very stuffy. Great place!

Ben S.

Yelp
I visited the Mirador Torre Latinoamericana building which is a tall office building that offers a 37-44th floor observatory. The top level is open air. The tower is in walking distance to the Zocalo and next to the Palacio de Bellas Artes and the Alameda Central (Park). The tower had no queue for admission on Sunday in the late morning. I doubt there are better views anywhere. While there is no audio guide or signage explaining what is below, the views are spectacular. You can see very far-all the way back to the Zocolo. There are restrooms, a souvenir shop, and a place to buy bottled water and other snacks. Price was 110 MEX or 5.94 USD. I definitely recommend stopping in here for a brief time during your trip.

Fernanda S.

Yelp
I can't count in one hand the amount of times I have been to Torre Latino. It's something about the view, the history, the sensation of being up there that I cannot explain, and this is the reason why I keep coming back. Have been up there during Summer, Winter, Fall it really doesn't matter. As long as the day is clear you will have one of the best views of the city. The price to go up is about $5 dollars, and even if it was more I would recommend you to pay. There is no time limit, which means that if you are a photography crazy (like myself) you will have all the time in the world to get the best shot. That being said, I do not recommend you have coffee or a snack in the little shop. Is way too expensive and the staff is not as nice as they should. Enjoy your time, see the city, find all the important landmarks and then head down to the city to find yourself a place to hang out. :)

Andy P.

Yelp
This is a great place to take pics of the city. You can good pics of Bellas Artes and Alameda. It's better from the observation tower because there is no glass enclosures to obstruct photography. I try to visit the tower on every trip if the smog is not too bad. I definitely think tourists should visit.

Yelp
Every city has its version of a Torre Latinoamericana - one of the tallest buildings that have a gated rooftop offering a 360-degree view of the city. To get here, there is a ticket booth on the first floor if you want to be outdoors at the highest floor. If you prefer to save that money, you can go for a drink at the bar at the 3rd highest floor. But what you save in ticket costs, you spend on a diluted drink and partial view that is windowed so take your pic. From the rooftop view, you can basically see all of Mexico City and its key landmarks as well as a sunset over the mountain ranges that make for a beautiful view. Even on mother's day weekend (at least on the Saturday after), it wasn't too crowded. Worth a visit if you like views.

Oskar W.

Yelp
I am surprised about how few tourists I see in Mexico City. Very surprised actually. However also a bit happy. It means lots of space for me and my camera. This is also the case at Torre Latinoamerica. Almost no visitors, but that is a shame - you really should visit. First: The entrance fee is very low, so you will not be ruined. Furthermore you will get an amazing view of Mexico City, both inner city and outskirts, plus the mountains and the Popocatépetl volcano. I really can not see a reasons why you should not pay a visit to this skyscraper.

Stephen F.

Yelp
Amazing views of CDMX. Any visit to Mexico, D.F. is worth a visit to the top of the Torre Latino for the amazing views it offers of the City.

Juan Hector G.

Yelp
Esta lugar es icónico en la Ciudad de México. Tienes que aprovechar tu cita al centro de la ciudad y subir hasta el mirador.

Bob S.

Yelp
The vistas of Mexico City from the enclosed observation deck is amazing. For some it might be a little unnerving because you can get up to close to the windows. There's a souvenir shop up there.

Danielle W.

Yelp
Excellent view of all of Mexico City. If the line is too long for the observation deck, go one floor down to Miralto Restaurant for the same view while you order a drink and bite to eat. Service is a bit slow but the menu is decent and well priced.

Miguel M.

Yelp
If you are in the area and you want to see the city and what it looks like from above this is the place to visit. You can tell from far the Latino is there since there are other buildings next to it but none are as tall. When we went there was hardly any people but it was early and during the week, not sure about weekends On Sunday I got to go cycling and took a video of the tower from the main street, you can see how tall it is compared with other buildings. If you are near, stop by, it is also affordable to visit.

Jocelyn W.

Yelp
yaasss! Go up in this building the view is insane. We really enjoyed and you can view N, S, E, W - very interesting.

Cynthia V.

Yelp
Dinner with a view! Especially at night when the city lights become a starry background.

jen s.

Yelp
Without a doubt the view from the restaurant is amazing (on a clear day) and being able to enjoy the view over drinks and lunch sounded like the perfect way to end our visit. However, two of our group ended up with food poisoning! We ordered a Caesar salad and the Jefe salad to try to offset the calories from the yummy ceviche and beers and boy are we sorry!! The Caesar was prepared tableside with great fane fare. Little did we know that the lettuce was teaming with E. Coli! Definitely go, but stick to the drinks!

Craig R.

Yelp
It´s probably one of the best views of the city. To see Mexico City sprawling in every direction surrounded by mountains was fantastic. In addition to the view it has a really interesting history being the first skyscraper built to last earthquakes. This building was built in the 50´s. It offers a bar and restaurant with nice view. Shout-out to the bartender that satisfied my thirst! * If you purchase admission during the day, you can come back and view the city again at night.

Anne A.

Yelp
Skip the admission fee to the top of the tower and take the elevator to the bar. Buy some beers or cocktails and enjoy the view of Mexico City from up high for free. The view from the bar of Mexico City is breathtaking.

Peter S.

Yelp
It's really just a building with an elevator. It's worth it, just for the view. Be warned that if you have a nice camera they will not let you to the top and they wouldn't let me go up to the top, because I had a Monopod. However the lady at the counter told me to just go to the bar, which was great, since it's one floor below the top and it doesn't cost anything. The views are amazing and you can get a 360 deg. few of the city. I recommend the night view.

Alicia V.

Yelp
Skip the museum and head to the bar. One of the best views in the city.

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
We had a splendid time at the tower and we had plenty of photo shot. I have a mayor fear of heights and I felt my knees become weak at the 37 floor. We can say that you need to come here if you are in Mexico City for high rise experience.

Betty A.

Yelp
This is really a terrific deal and way to view the whole city. The bar staff is so much fun, there is free wifi. The drinks are great and get there just before sundown and watch the city light up.
