Milkees - Specialty Coffee & Cookies

I stopped in after it caught my eye while walking past and went for a fairly simple order. The cappuccino was good and the salted chocolate cookie was really tasty. The americano, though, was not what I expected. It was a bit flavourless, almost like a diluted espresso, and I couldn’t quite put my finger on what was off. The matcha cookie also didn’t do it for me. I think cookies are better when kept simple. That said, I’d still come back to try some other items on the menu because they sound delicious.

This was a nice surprise to stumble upon while in Lisbon, Portugal. This quaint cafe has both an indoor and outdoor seating area. The espresso was nicely done and very tasty. Because “cookies” was in the name, I HAD to try one! And yeah… I was pleasantly surprised even with high expectations. Super soft and moist, it just melted in your mouth— clearly just out of the oven. The espresso was quite good as well. I would return any day !

Milkees Specialty Coffee in Lisbon is a quiet standout—thoughtful coffee, warm service, and a vibe that makes you want to pause and stay a while. We ordered two flat whites, both smooth and balanced with just the right touch of brightness. You can tell the baristas care about the craft, and it shows in every sip. We also had their Nutella berry toast, which was exactly what you’d hope for—crispy sourdough layered with a generous spread of Nutella, fresh berries, and just enough sweetness to feel like a treat without being over the top. The dark chocolate chip cookie with sea salt was rich, chewy, and perfectly finished with a bit of crunch and contrast. Everything felt easy and well done, from the food to the mood. Milkees is the kind of spot that quietly delivers, and I’ll definitely be back.

Such a lovely find! This café feels like a quiet little secret for true coffee lovers no need to stand in a long line just to sip something photogenic. Here, the focus is where it should be: on the quality of the coffee, the warmth of the service, and the calm, welcoming atmosphere. The beans are clearly chosen with care, and every cup is brewed with attention and intention. You can taste it. It’s the kind of place where you want to slow down, breathe in the aroma, and just enjoy the moment. If you’re tired of chasing trends and just want really good coffee made by people who care this is the spot.

I’m rating this place for brunch/breakfast as it was what I was looking for and there is a lot of competition in the brunch sector. The food is well made but those are things you can make easily at home in a small kitchen. Hence, at this price I would expect more. The coffee is very good though, so if you are looking for special coffee I can recommend it for that.

I was expecting more from this place as it’s highly rated. The service wasn’t great, no friendly hello & general felling of being unwelcome, the coffee took quite a bit of time and the quality of the coffee wasn’t great (more milk than coffee). Atmosphere isn’t bad.

Very cute little coffee shop!! Not crowded so no need for reservations or crazy waiting times, food and drinks are super good, had a really good time and waiters are very nice. I recommend!!
