Milk & Honey Gulch

We decided to try them for breakfast on a Tuesday morning as they were a 5 minute walk from where we were staying. We arrived before the place got busy, so we were immediately seated. Inside is nice, cozy, and spacious. They have a bar area where you can get breakfast cocktails. The server was friendly and did a good job meeting our needs. Drinks were served quickly, and coffee refills were offered throughout the meal. We had the honey biscuits before the breakfast entree. They were tasty and sweet. I ordered the Dirty Benedict, and my wife had the Big Boy Breakfast. The Dirty Benedict is eggs and ham served over an English muffin. It is covered with red eye gravy instead of the usual hollandaise sauce. Berries or home fries are offered as the side. The Big Boy is eggs, bacon, home fries, bread, and a side of berries. Both were good and filling. I left full and satisfied.

Upon arriving at the location, we saw a line out the door. It was a very busy place but the line moved quickly. It was a 25 to 30 minute wait for us. While waiting we got a chance to look at the menu and ordered some coffee and bakery goods from their coffee bar. The staff was very friendly and quick with our orders. Food came out quick and tasted great! My wife really loved the Shakshuka. The biscuits are wonderful as well. The atmosphere was live. We would definitely come back if we were in the area.

Good location, great service. Crowded and cold when the door opened. I was truly disappointed with the honey butter biscuits though. The cinnamon roll did not disappoint. The Dr. feel-good juice was good with a tad of spice from the cayenne but to me who loves healthy fresh juice it was perfect.

There are very few places I've waited 75 minutes on (was 34th on the wait list) where the food and service made it worth it...this is one of them. Our server was Kris and he was outstanding - explained the menu, gave recommendations, and didn't rush us at all even with the huge crowd. The food was....huge, southern, modern, and very tasty.

I’ve always loved the atmosphere here, it’s inviting with great menu options that showcase a lot of creativity. The food was good overall, but there were a few small issues. We started with the honey ricotta cheese and toast, but it seemed like they forgot the honey, so we had to ask for more. My avocado toast was decent but needed more seasoning, and unfortunately, the avocado stem was left on the plate. However, my friend’s sweet potato fries were incredible! For drinks, I ordered an iced turmeric ginger tea, while my friend got a hot hibiscus tea, which was served with a spill around the plate. Despite these small hiccups, the service was fantastic, and our server was especially attentive. I’ve been here before, and while I remember it being slightly better in the past, it was still an enjoyable experience.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The experience was nothing short of disappointing. I ordered a Caesar salad, only to find rotten lettuce and browning leaves mixed in. To make matters worse, the side of French fries was laughably small, and the avocado slices on my dish were browning and clearly past their prime. (See photos.) Despite the restaurant's popularity and long wait times, the food quality was shockingly below standard. With how busy they are, one would assume their grocery circulation would be better, but it seems expired produce is still making it to the table. Honestly, how can so many things go wrong at one table? To add to the irony, I was dining with two health inspectors who were both appalled by the condition of the food. The manager did remove the salad from the bill, but honestly, that was the absolute least she could do in this situation. This level of negligence is unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one as busy and hyped as this. The only saving grace of this meal was our server, Maggie, who was kind and attentive. Unfortunately, even great service can’t salvage food that is this subpar and borderline inedible. You’d genuinely have a more consistent dining experience at an IHOP. I wouldn’t recommend Milk & Honey to anyone, no matter how desperate or convenient it might seem. Save your time, money, and appetite—this place is not worth it.

We stopped here for breakfast on Saturday morning. We arrived around 8:30 AM and we had a 15 minute wait, which was not bad. The service was great and Ashley was our server and she did a good job. I advise you to get there early, especially on the weekends. The wait time was up to two hours, when we left the restaurant. The food was good for the most part. I had the chicken and waffles with the house fries, which was pretty good My wife had the rosé waffles which she said was OK. My wife wanted some pancakes, but they do not have pancakes on the menu. My daughter had a side of bacon, which was a little overcooked and burnt. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and the food was pretty good and we will be back.

Sat on the patio today, weather was perfect and food was phenomenal! Had the prosciutto egg and smoked mozzarella sandwich and it was one of the best meals ever. Tried the liquid gold juice and loved it as well. Would definitely recommend!

WOW! I have never experienced such efficient and stellar service! I am currently in Nashville visiting and I needed to grab something for breakfast quickly as I had an appointment to make. When I walked in and saw how busy they were, I assumed I wouldn't be able to be served and was prepared to go elsewhere. The hostess invited me to sit at the bar and I am SO glad I did! Let me start by saying, the bar team is phenomenal. Everyone was efficient and welcoming, checking in throughout my entire meal. The moment I sat down, I was offering water and a menu. Within 10 minutes of ordering, I already had my food! I was so thoroughly impressed! I ordered a Prosciutto, Egg & Smoked Mozzarella Sandwich on Sourdough with Home Fries. Simple, delicious, and hit the spot! I tried it with some of their Honey Hot Sauce and it was even better! Sweet and a little smoky, with the perfect amount of heat. Inside, Milk & Honey has a very modern vibe and even with its busyness, there was space to move around and it did not feel cramped. The bathrooms were also very clean. The real star of the show for me was again the service and the efficiency! I had such a lovely time and I'm looking forward to returning! Happy Eating!!

This place was hard to get in to! Luckily found seats at the bar but we didn't think that at 1 o'clock in the afternoon we'd have trouble finding a breakfast spot. Then again it was a Friday during lunch.. Anyway! Plenty of brunch options for the breakfast lover, And for those that don't feel like they're in the breakfast mood. bottle specials, drinks on tap, slushy ready to go. Service was quick and friendly. Food Portions were decent. I didn't love the food but it definitely got the job done. It could also be that I orders one of the breakfast sandwiches and not one of their breakfast specials. I would definitely try it again and grab something new on the menu. I would highly recommend to make a reservation if you're more than two people.

I got the vegan burrito. It tasted decent (esp with the hot honey) but much much too small of a quantity for the price. I was still hungry after eating it. I wish the dishes came with both fruits and potatoes, especially for vegan/vegetarian to be filling. My friend got hers with tofu scramble, maybe I'll try that one next time. There is free 1 hr parking across the street. Wait wasn't too bad for 4 people, only about 30 mins. They text you/call you when the table is ready so you can explore the Gulch while you wait.

Great place to get breakfast or brunch! The service was fast and friendly. It gets busy here so if you don't want to wait, I recommend going early. It opens at 6am! Ok, that's a bit early. The food was delicious. We got the Alabama pork biscuit and Cali chicken bowl. The biscuit was so buttery and the pork was perfectly seasoned. If you like tea, they have really great teas. They have a lot of different options so there is something for everyone here.

Me and wife stopped in here for breakfast since reviews seemed good. The restaurant has a nice ambiance to it. We felt very comfortable. The staff were nice and on top of things pretty good even though this place does get busy. I got the egg bacon and cheese biscuit with the home fries and wife got a bagel. We both got coffees as well. The coffee here is good. We both really liked it. My sandwich and home fries were fantastic. One of the better breakfast sandwiches I've had. The bagel was ok. To be honest I expected a little more for the bagel. All in all great place for a breakfast sandwich and cup of coffee.

Really fun place to go for brunch! We started with an iced vanilla bean latte and an espresso - both were solid. We had the chicken & waffle, avocado toast, and a small caesar salad. The chicken & waffle was delicious and the avocado toast was good but I probably wouldn't order it again if I went back. The caesar salad was good. Overall ambiance was great but it can get quite busy. We went on a weekday and waited 2 hours for a table - good news is it is in a great location so you can walk around and shop while you wait for your table.

Milk & Honey was one of several places I had bookmarked to try for breakfast while in Nashville. I head nothing but positive things about the place, and since I'm a fan of sitting for breakfast when traveling it pretty much sealed the deal for me to go. I had heard the wait was crazy for breakfast here, and indeed when I was in the area earlier in my trip and passed M&H by I noticed a crowd outside waiting to get in. I had planned to have breakfast here the morning I was set to come home, so I decided to get there shortly after their opening at 6am. This worked out great for two reasons: I was able to walk right in and get a table, and during my walk to the restaurant I got great shots of Broadway with no crowds. M&H is pretty spacious - they have a decently sized indoor dining room with a semi-open kitchen, as well as a front patio with more seating. Decor is casual - it has a slightly bright color scheme with white walls and clean lines. After being seated I started browsing the menu - they have a large selection of breakfast items with a variety of egg dishes, biscuits, and other carbs. I decided to start with their buttermilk biscuits - these were larger than average and drizzled in honey (or some honey-esque sauce). They were pretty good, though they were more dense than I expected - I'm used to biscuits being a smidge fluffier. For my main dish I got the sausage and peppers omelette; again, this was pretty good and they did not skimp on the fillings which I appreciated - the omelette was flatter than the average omelette I've had, so I wouldn't expect fluffy ones here. The dish also came with home fries which were also good - as a whole, the flavors of everything I had were great. I could tell high quality ingredients were used. Service was great - my server was super friendly and even gave me a to-go cup for my last cup of coffee. Overall, I enjoyed Milk & Honey - it wasn't my favorite breakfast spot in Nashville, but they serve quality food and I would definitely want to return the next time I'm in the city.

Quality/Quantity - Surprised and saddened... Maybe it was an off day...? Off time...? Don't worry, we will give you another chance and hope to improve and update this review. So where do I start... The hostess was friendly and welcoming, which was a good start. She said the wait time was going to be around 45 minutes to 1.1 hours. An hour later, we got the text, thank you. BTW, we signed up for the first available table, doesn't matter indoors or outdoors. We got a fairly unhappy waitress... At first, we thought she was just direct, or maybe tired. We even tried to crack a few jokes to lighten up the mood, but failed. After, she eventually took table behind us's order, even thought they arrived later; then our order, as we waited patiently. Okay, 1 hour wait to be seated, made to order fresh, we are patient. Then the couple behind us got their food. Then they finished their food by the time we got ours. I checked to see if they ordered something simple? Nope, similar order to ours. When our food came, the runner rudely told me to take the plate off her hands as it was too heavy... Okay... Well you only had two orders that you were carrying, one for each hand??? I was so confused. Never experienced a waitress basically yell at us to take the plate from her hand. Because we had outdoor seating, it just happened to be next to the public garbage can on the sidewalk on the other side of the window. We felt so sorry/bad for the couple across from us as they got most of the flies, wasps, bees, birds, etc. It was so bad that I believe management came and started pulling down all the shades which did improve the situation. The real solution is to move the public garbage can or clean it. Keep the shades in this area closed. Power wash your floors (outdoor seating on the sidewalk). Okay, now for the food: Due to the long wait, we started at their "to-go" cafe and my daughter got a Chai and the Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookie. Both were good. Fried Chicken Biscuit - Maybe because we have been eating so many GOOD fried chicken since we have been out here, see other reviews, this entree (one of their better sellers) did not seem to have much flavor...? And take a look at the gravy for the biscuit...? Again, not much flavor. We also felt the biscuit was dry, so the gravy was much needed. Farmhouse Biscuit - My favorite of the three entrees. Good blend of all the ingredients. Turkey Avocado - This was my second favorite. But it's hard to do wrong as it is a pretty basic dish. Home Fries - Liked the fry, but did this sit out for a while...? Many, if not most of the pieces were "soft." Lost its crisp. Berries - Fresh and good. Arugula Side Salad for $2 more - This was also good and fresh. Atmosphere - Crazy successful business, congrats. Small for the sales volume that they do, congrats again. Indoor, outdoor, table, and bar seating. 4 single stall bathrooms which also seemed to always have a line. We went back to the hotel, lol. Open 7 days a week from 6am to 3pm. Service - 1 star today. See above. Price - $66 + more generous tip than deserved. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2008 with all your 7 different brands and 12 locations. See website for all their other brands.

Recommended by a friend and it totally lives up to the hype! The food and coffees were amazing, the service was quick (once seated, from what I understand there will always be a wait here!) and the vibes were great! When we put our name in we took a stroll down the street and ended up getting cocktails near by since our wait was expected to be 2 hours, this made the wait much more enjoyable! Highly recommend the Shakshouka.

I'm afraid that I don't get the hype. Milk & Honey is a popular breakfast/brunch restaurant & coffee counter in the Gulch. Arriving at 9:45 on a Monday, we had a 45 minute wait, which wasn't a problem since they took our phone number and we were able to walk around the neighborhood while we waited. The food was fine. I ordered an omelette that was billed as a "mushroom" omelette, but had far more peppers than mushrooms. It was a little pathetic-looking, served with choice of potatoes or fruit. The omelette was probably a 2.5 star order. My husband had the hash, which was more delicious than mine - Probably 3.5-4 stars. I ordered a side of toast for $5, which came with jelly and a single pad of butter which again felt kind of stingy. My coffee was served with 3 disposable cups of half-and-half, and I was admitted disappointed that I didn't get a little carafe of cream with my $4 cup of coffee. Service was OK and I only got a coffee refill when I asked our server when she only re-appeared once after taking our order. In short, there are better breakfast/brunch spots in the area and I will not be returning.

Great quality for a reasonable price. The food was delicious and well spiced, and there's an incredible variety of both food and beverages to choose from especially when it comes to coffee drinks. The service was quick and helpful, however the waitlist was very long, so be sure to make reservations.

I'm adding the extra star for the service. The food was ok. Sad the butter wasn't fresh churned. This place has too long of a wait but if you can, get a seat at the bar. No reservations allowed so good luck. I found the biscuits better at D'Andrews but they only do biscuits on weekends. Breakfast shots here are fun and the service is phenomenal, but if the wait is long, go to D'andrews for a delicious pastry breakfast option.

The food and service were amazing! Loved the ability to stroll the area while we waited for a message that our table was ready. And the ability to order mimosas by the bottle was fun.

First trip to Nashville with my kids as part of our college search. If you get there after 9:00 the wait tips up to about 45 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes. We arrived Saturday at 8:40 in the morning and was seated around 9:15. We were seated and served or drinks fairly quickly. The place is open and can be loud if you are sensitive to loud noises. The service was friendly but it took a while to get our food as the restaurant was very busy. The price and portion is comparable to most brunch placed. The chicken That came with the waffle was meat and not dry. The Hodgepodge Hash had a lot of vegetables over sausage. Overall it was a nice trendy place to have breakfast but the food wasn't on the top of the list for me.

We decided to try the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese sandwich served on a biscuit. While the flavors were good, it didn't measure up to Biscuit Love's breakfast sandwich. The biscuit was soft, but way too mushy and not flaky at all. It was soggy and had an overly moist texture. Unfortunately, the biscuit's shortcomings overshadowed the amazing and delicious blend of sausage, egg, and cheese and fell short of my expectations.

This is a hopping spot for breakfast in Nashville! Be prepared to wait 30-45 minutes as I have every time I've come. Food is great and service is friendly.

Came here to celebrate and enjoy top of line food and friendly service. This is a busy and yet vibrant place! Come ready to yap, have a nice cocktail or hot bevy! Baristas and bar staff were incredibly helpful and attentive! Will come back

I wish I could give it a 3.5! We've been here twice now and decided that it's good but definitely not worth the wait. Biscuits were a bit dry especially for a breakfast sandwich so it just crumbled. Not pictured but the whipped ricotta dip was delicious!! Enjoyed sitting on the patio and had extremely friendly service.

We came for brunch on a Saturday, and it was well worth the wait. Right off the bat our server was friendly and hilarious. The mimosas were delicious with some really fun juice flavor options. The biscuits!! Better than my mom's (don't tell her). The flavors of every dish were amazing, and we ended up buying a bottle of the hot honey. The ambiance is fun, and everyone who works there really seems to enjoy their job. Great brunch spot!

This place was fantastic and worth an hour (plus) long wait. It has a cutesy, hipster alcoholic vibe perfect for the bougie day drinker crowd. I ordered a mimosa, coffee, and the hash. Everything was excellent and our service was great.

Do not walk...RUN to Milk & Honey! I had a wonderful experience here and can't wait to Nashville and visit again. Please be sure to make reservations. We didn't have any, but we were able to get on the list. Once we were in, I loved the chic, modern, vibe of the restaurant. I also love that they are on there with merchandise (milk and honey) available for purchase. My meal was very delicious! I had the Ham & Turkey Club. It came with Applewood ham, roasted turkey, bacon, white and yellow cheddar, lettuce, tomato, avocado, mayo, whole grain honey mustard, and sourdough bread. It was so feeling. They warmed mine a little and it was amazing. It also came with their house potatoes. They are a must try. Again, the service was great! Though they were crowded, they were very attentive. Let me also add that the price point is amazing for the quality of food and service you get. I love it! 10/10!

Came here during a bachelorette party was a bit of a wait as anything is around here, quoted an hour and fifteen but got texted about an hour after for our party of 8! Has a cute coffee bar and merch you can buy before! Our server wasn't the best, seemed like she didn't want to be there and slow. Food was overall good I got eggs and toast. Others got hash and salads. Our food was brought out separately, by the time half of our table got food the other half was done. Prices were fair and so were portions. I would go back and give it another chance but todays service was lousy. Very cute but very hot inside if it's a warm day as a caution!

I got here at the perfect time, and was able to sit at the bar, my server was great! I loved her suggestions, and she was all around fun to be around. I had a tasty and savory Bloody Mary, and a tasty golden mimosa that was a combination of ginger, apple, and pineapple. For the main course I had the Alabama biscuit and potatoes, it was delicious and I loved the sauce it came with, it was a white bbq, that had a unique flavor. All around fun time with great food and drinks! I hope I'm able to come back one day.

Delish!!!! Their waffle, their perfectly cooked over easy eggs on a take out order impressive. The sausage way too small a portion & little greasy. The pistachio croissant & the milk & honey scone as well as milk and honey cookies a Big hit! The latte's also a strong 4. Loved it so much we partook 2 days in a row.

After a subpar experience at a popular breakfast place the day before (ahem), we needed a sure thing. Following reviews on Milk and Honey, we had to try it. It's a huge restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. We arrived at 9:05 on a Sunday and were told the wait for outside would be 20-40 minutes. It ended up being 55 minutes, which was disappointing. Our server was really sweet. I went with the shakshuka, a favorite of mine. It had some unique elements, namely roasted garlic cloves (though they weren't fully roasted, they were still medium-hard) and some sort of chipotle veggie slaw (not sure if that's the best descriptive term). It was delicious! I wasn't sure about the marinara base to the shakshuka, but it was good. A lighter, veggie forward breakfast. The hubs had the hash, which was fantastic! Such a great combo of flavors and textures. We'll be back tomorrow!

Being from the North, I understand we move at a faster pace than the south. The server (Eugene) was amazing, the kitchen very quick, great bar staff who mix a great cocktail, all amazing flavors. To the owners: you are losing money! The hostesses- left an average of 5 tables open and atleast half dressed for next the patrons, minimum 5 to 10 minutes. I waited 65 minutes for a table of 3. When we left, the wait was 2hrs. Tables constantly open, and costing you money!

This is my 2nd time coming to Nashville and first time we weren't able to go. This time we went the first day, right after we landed and it was an hour wait. So we came in another time and it was only a 15 mins wait. We were seated outside. We ordered the burrata and fig as a starter and it was so so delicious. I ordered the hot mess and added chicken. I was definitely full leaving out of here.

Pay to park, which is everywhere downtown but I despise. We came in on a Wednesday morning and were seated immediately. I ordered a Nutella latte (one of my guilty pleasures and it was delish) and hubs got a strawberry orange juice that was also great. For brunch, we ordered the shakshuka and the "boss" I think it's called. The shakshuka was good, but I likely wouldn't order again because it wasn't anything to write home about. The sandwich was also good but split down the middle so getting all the flavors/toppings in one bite was a challenge. We would have rather had it built up on one side. I ordered a chocolate croissant to go and ate it a little later. It was Suh good! Can't wait to come back with the girls, when I'm not pregnant, and to drink all the mimosas!

Giving it 3 stars, because our server was great. If I was basing it on food alone, I'd give it 2 stars. Barely room temp, with underwhelming flavors. Got the chicken and waffles and the chicken was overcooked, and outside of the pickle brine, there wasn't much flavor, also overcooked. Where things really go south is the waffles. I'd rate Waffle House pancakes 3 times better than these. Dry, super dense, very little flavor. "Reasonable" pricing and "trendy" inside. But can think of much better alternatives to choose from. Definitely a tourist trap, and a one and done from my perspective.

This spot was awesome for brunch. Went at 10 on a Saturday. It was very busy and there was a one hour wait but the line moved quickly and it was absolutely worth the wait! The food was super delicious. I got the Hot Chicken and Waffles and the chicken was actually hot and the hot maple syrup was fantastic. Home fries were nice and crispy. The hot sauce was also bomb so we bought some to take home. We had a bottle of mimosas for $32 which was not bad for 3 people. Also our server was wonderful - she checked in multiple times, got us the hot sauce to take home at our table, and also made excellent suggestions. Would definitely come back for brunch. They have a great happy vibe with cool alpaca decor and it's a wonderful spot to bring friends or family to

Milk and Honey is a solid spot for breakfast or brunch. The juice and breakfast dishes are really good--I'd recommend the avocado toast. The vibe is chill, and the staff is friendly. I wasn't a fan of the matcha (it was kind of bland), but everything else was really great. Really kind staff too. Good spot for the girlies.

Very overrated!!! I stopped by to buy some cinnamon rolls for my daughter's birthday. I should have known when I saw the other baked goods to turn around and leave, however, the cinnamon rolls came from the kitchen and I couldn't see them before I ordered them. They were extremely dry and the frosting tasted like granulated sugar. Very disappointing!!!!!!

This is such a hot spot in Nashville, but I wasn't the biggest fan. There was nothing spectacularly amazing or absolutely awful about my experience, but it was lackluster. First off, the service felt inconsistent. It was hard for our group to flag down our server (as the restaurant was clearly slammed), but at the onset, we were left waiting while other tables that were seated after us were attended to. The food was ok - I cannot denote anything particularly memorable but the icing on their cinnamon roll was well done (there just wasn't enough of it, in my opinion).

Food was delicious and service was great! Had to wait about 45min to be seated because it was so busy, but it went quickly and was worth the wait!

We were familiar with milk & honey from their Chattanooga location that we love so while in town we absolutely had to stop. The wait was around 45 minutes, which we were willing to do, but we got lucky & got a spot at the bar. My husband started with the Dr Feel Good juice which was crisp and delicious! I got a cappuccino, which unfortunately came out cold. My husband ordered the Hodge Podge Hash which I felt needed to have a heavier protein portion. Nonetheless, he said it was tasty. I got the scrambled egg toast. Although the ingredients were fresh, it was a bit cold, which is just likely from them being so busy. Milk & Honey always has fresh ingredients... I just feel like it didn't live up to my expectations after our Chattanooga experience.

Milk & Honey was great! Overall a fantastic experience and was very busy. And even then, my brother and I didn't have an absurd wait considering we were a walk in of two., The food was nice, I got something simple but we also tried an appetizer as well which was amazing. On the other hand, we both also got coffee and that was fantastic!!! I'm a big coffee connoisseur so I definitely approve and will be coming back again!

My wife and I were only in Nashville for a few hours after we landed on our way to visit family in Mississippi. We were starving and needed to eat somewhere quick. Let me tell you, you will NOT be disappointed here! The restaurant is so cute and well laid out. They have the most aromatic bakery inside that makes you want to buy one of everything (even after you ate a full meal)! Everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and honestly sincere. Our server, Emma, went above and beyond in all aspects of our meal She checked on us the appropriate amount of times and frequency, she checked on a few food items to see if there was dairy/gluten, and she even gift wrapped the bottle of Milk & Honey hot honey sauce for us! We were so thankful Emma took care of us after a long, overnight flight. Thank you! There are plenty of GF, DF, and vegan options for anyone with dietary restrictions. Thank you Milk & Honey! We can't wait to come back to Nashville and eat here again!

As a local, don't come here. Seriously, go down the street to biscuit love or grab a breakfast sandwich from five daughters. We came early on a Saturday morning, no wait, great. But then all downhill from there. Food took 40 minutes to come out and when it did, it was luke warm, borderline cold. That is not how you want to eat a shashuka (also why even bother putting it in an iron skillet if it's just gonna be cold?). Poached eggs were overcooked too. The hot chicken biscuit had no flavor and the home fries are overly salty. The gravy that comes with it was probably the worst thing. Service was overly slow but we don't fault our waitress for it.

10/10 recommend their vanilla bean latte and their Nashville chicken sandwich. The sandwich is amazing but beware it's spicy! 10/10 chicken and waffle.

The wait was about an hour but there was stuff to do nearby so it went by so fast. We were seated quickly and our waitress was amazing! The food was great, because how could you go wrong with chicken? Absolute chefs kiss! The only thing that was a little "bad" was that the biscuit for one order was a little hard and not soft like another friends place. Great place to eat and would go again

The cutest cafe and an excellent spot for brunch in Nashville. I was in town for a conference and had a few hours before my flight which meant I had to get all the good food in. I saw the offerings here and was pleased that they made their own biscuits in house! Unfortunately I must have gotten the wrong item because it didn't taste that great to me and didn't live up to the reviews here. However, I'm still giving 4 stars because of the excellent service and extensive offerings on their menu. I'd like to come back and try some of their other dishes one day. What I liked the most about the place was how you can get a side of berries instead of potatoes. Like what?? Other brunch places would have charged you for some mid cantaloupe and grapes and this place is giving out complimentary berries?? OK, I LIKE. The item I got was their hot chicken biscuit sandwich. Being in Nashville, I had to try their famous hot chicken. However, I read online that both Prince's and Hattie B's were overrated in the downtown locations so thought I could still try the famed hot chicken during my brunch at Milk and Honey instead. That turned out to be a mistake. The chicken I got didn't taste like it was seasoned. The outside coating was covered in a spicy sauce that tasted like salt and maybe a tiny pinch of chili. But that was it. No seasoning or flavors from the meat of the chicken. Biscuit was fine, and the gravy was good as well. I tried to dress up the sandwich with their honey hot sauce and while it improved the overall dish, it could have been better. So while my choice was lacking, the girl next to me ordered their famous scramble and said it was delicious- maybe I'll try that next time. I also was eyeing their extensive list of lattes and drinks- the honey lavender latte sounded incredible. Amazing find in downtown Nashville! The place looks super clean and fresh! You walk in here and you're ready to eat! Their menu is amazing! I tried their pancakes two different ones and they were delicious and amazing! The best part though I must say was the syrup! It was warm and delicious! I think it's home made but don't quite me in that! The server was super cute and patient with us! Bless her heart! We asked for so many accommodations and changes I don't know how she did it but she made the experience worth our while! Would DEFINITELY recommend to try while in Nashville!
