"Single Origin Coffee Near the Opera House Über restaurateur Michel Péclard made waves in Zurich when he took over the iconic Café Schober in the Niederdorf a few years ago. In 2012, Péclard set his eyes on another classic establishment, Milchbar, which had sat tucked away in a quiet square off of Paradeplatz for over three decades. Now in its new incarnation near the Zurich Opera House, the café is as alluring as ever with Edison bulbs hung from the ceiling, long wooden communal tables, single origin coffee and super smooth espresso made with an exclusive blend by Fresh Coffee in Rüschlikon."

A cute spot inside the city. A bit hidden away. There is a beautiful courtyard with trees and flowers in front of the restaurant. For today just had a coffee, which was ok, not the best coffee. The staff was a bit too preoccupied, although still friendly.

On a cool spring morning our brunch was such a treat. Perfect pancakes, creamy Cappucinos and a delicious deli platter served by friendly and attentive staff. Love the calm court yard away from a busy market and traffic.

The service was good overall. The cheesecake was really yummy with an extra passion fruit flavor. The coffee was great too. The only thing I didn't like was the chocolate cake. It was tiny and not "liquid" at all. I'm giving it 4 stars because the atmosphere was nice.

Great place to come and relax for a coffee. They have a garden/ quad style seating area that is very relaxing (even though it’s in the central area). 8.0 Coffee was pretty good as well, a little over roasted and had a slight bitter aftertaste but it was smooth and had good flavour
