You must go there on the weekend! Amazing place with cool stores and good food

As mercatos go, this one is quite robust and recommended to go and eat in. I personally would recommend sampling these Argentinian must-try dishes here like: empanada, choripan, grilled sausage and other meat including beef, alfajores, dulce de leche — conveniently under one roof.

Highly recommended for every tourist on a quick visit to Argentina. An easy one stop solution for trying local food and having a bit of a cultural experience

This place is awesome, even better than I thought it would be, but was a lot smaller than I thought. The food stalls are incredible and taste absolutely amazing. The food and drink prices aren't bad. The oven baked empanadas at El Horneo are really good and worth the trip there. It's really hard to choose what to eat because it all looks so good.

A must-visit place when touring Buenos Aires. Sure, it is a bit of a tourist trap, but there is good food to be had here at many of the stalls and there are nice trinkets for sale at every price point.

A mix of different businesses - most with food. Some are good and often busy. It is a little warn down but the construction is elegant. Behind the old paint and redone element you can see how beautiful it once was.

Beautiful market! Just passed by, unfortunately, as we were heading somewhere else. The people eating there looked very pleased and happy. The produce looked very fresh. Beautifully display. I will definitely go back to eat there.

Definitely worth checking out if you're in San Telmo on the weekend. Many great restaurants and bars as well as many shops with antiques, toys, meats/vegetables and decor, gifts, etc etc.
