Menya Sho Honten

Went here with a group of friends. The food here is very good, would like to try their other ramen another time. The staff were extremely friendly. Specifically, there were 4 staff working on the day I was there and coincidentally they spoke Vietnamese! It was a pleasant surprise that made the experience very special! Would recommend everyone to try at least once! Especially if you are Vietnamese coming to visit :)

First ramen in Japan, and they have set the standard so high. Absolutely delicious, cannot fault anything. So easy to order using the vending machine, and the 2 meals came within 2 minutes. Would definitely recommend! So so tasty!

One of the best ramen to have in Japan. The atmosphere is great as it is the typical local restaurant vibes. The ramen itself has a clear broth which is flavorful.

Slightly above average Shio ramen heavy on the chicken fat. The charsiu quality was also pretty average. The broth lacked depth and relied too much on the chicken fat for flavor. Really not sure why it’s on the Tabelog Top ramen shops in Tokyo as there are many other shops offering better bowls for a cheaper price. The ramen was made completely by Vietnamese staff and the only Japanese person was just greeting guests. This shop may have been great at one point, but at this point, the quality is not worth going anywhere out of the way for.

Personally like the chicken flavour rich ramen with generous pieces of meat and side dishes like bamboo shoot, egg. Soup is clear with authentic chicken soup taste and ramen is right not too hard or soft. Warm and homey atmosphere having late lunch together with the locals, hearing the slurping sound and fast pace finishing the bowl. It just feel right and so nice to have this moment here!

Visited on 10 Dec 2024 (Tuesday). Ordered the Shio Chicken + Char Siew ramen. Light chicken broth. Everything was done right from noodle texture, egg, tenderness of both chicken and char siew. If you are a fan of lighter broth like me, you will enjoy this place.

Came here with my friends twice so far during my trip to Tokyo because this place is amazing. The service from the workers is top notch despite my limited Japanese speaking capabilities and the ramen is among the best I’ve ever tasted. Definitely come here if you are in Shinjuku looking for ramen.

I was craving for ramen and eldest brought us to Ramen Sho . They have two versions of soup ramen. Their popular shio chicken soup based and their shoyu equivalent. We ordered both versions. They also have tsukemen version that we did not order. The ticketing machine has labelled with English. The soup was light and refreshing. The noodles are also slurpy good. The noodles come with an egg, bamboo shoots, 2 wontons, 1 piece of chicken slice and 3 pieces of charsiew. Really enjoy this ramen.
