Just not good!! I ordered a grilled cheese with bacon and caramelized onions. The sandwich was greasy and cold, the cheese was not melted and the bacon was so thin you could see through it. I was expecting more from an $8 grilled cheese. My tater tots were cold and soggy. I will never return to this establishment. Overall, I would rate a -1 but can’t. Seating is not comfortable and the flow of the restaurant is very poor. I do not recommend.

Melt shop is one block off times square. Great offerings for all. We had the chicken parm melt and the patty melt. Both were very good and tasted fresh. The shop is clean, as is the bathroom. The staff were friendly and smiling at each encounter with them. Counter and kiosk service available. Overall, we were very pleased with our stop here today.

Melt shop at JFK airport, absolute slop, fries were cold and greasy. The burger cheese melt was cold. Meat was cooler than the pickles. Could barely gag it down. Pepsi was watered down and barely any flavor. Absolute slop wish I had my 20bucks back.

Really happy to find this place to eat after being recommended to go here. I ordered a beef burger and my wife ordered a chicken melt. We then ordered fries and chicken tenders as a side. All the food was great! Burger was juicy and flavoursome, chicken was probably some of the best I've had in a fast food place.

Sorry pal first time here so I didn’t know and you could’ve just said that instead of being rude while you took my order. Grilled cheese was average. Disappointed.

The chicken is good, but the portions could be better for the price. Doesn't feel worth it to me, unless you're already in the area or trying it for the first time. I otherwise enjoyed the level of spiciness of their chicken. Fries were meh. The seating area is spacious and generally empty at night from my experience. There are kiosks to order from, as well as napkins, forks and whatnot.

I been here before 10 years, still the taste same as first time, highly recommended burger toast very juicy delicious, staff very friendly place quite good same as before nothing new same decoration.

i highly reccomend stopping by the Melt Shop! They have delicious crispy chicken melts & burgers. Most melts on their menu are about $10. I was very satisfied from the first bite to the last. There's indoor seating as well and you can order through the large tablets or at the counter. The food came out warm and did not take long.

I come here when I'm craving something... oily. Their burgers and meals in general are not for the light hearted. I usually get the grilled cheese and the classic melt is to die for. I also tried the Korean barbecue one and it was okay. The original chicken is a bit dry so I'd add a sauce. The ambiance is kind of nice, usually not too full of people. Service can be slow and sometimes the people working there will confuse you with their own confusion. Two weeks ago a guy gave me a bottle of water with no reason, just to claim it back. Stupid me for thinking they were trying to be nice during a heat wave

Hard to go wrong with a grilled cheese. Great quality, made quickly and fresh. I'm happy that this place has been open for so long as I used to stop here after school a bunch. My favorite is the classic, with Fried Chicken added.

Melt Shop is a great place for a quick lunch or dinner! They have a ton of different sandwiches, mostly including some really amazing chicken. This location had kiosks to order on, which I always love because you can look through the menu. There was tons of room to sit, and the restaurant is bright and clean. I ordered a Buffalo chicken melt with a Nutella shake. The chicken is perfection- crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The bread was toasted and crunchy, and the sauces had the right amount of kick. The milkshake was so thick and decadent with real Nutella globs in it. It was a great lunch!

SO good!!! The mozzarella sticks are to die for. I think I had the chicken sandwich too which was very tasty but the bun had waaay too much butter soaked in. The rest of the food on the menu looked so good and I can't wait to be back in the city to try more!

Got food at jfk after an 8 hour flight and every thing I got was cold. Burger, tots and chicken sandwich. How is melt in your name but your food is cold? If I wasn't late for my flight I would have returned and demanded a refund.

Wife ordered a different sandwich than she ordered. She took it to the counter and was bruskly told that she ordered what they made ( not true. I heard her order). Food was only "meh." We are not fans, and wondered what happened to the "customer is always right."

Stopped by this place for lunch. Grabbed the avocado chicken ranch, parm fries, and guava lemonade. Nice portion size and sandwich was cooked really well. Chicken could use more seasoning, but still a solid sandwich. Service was quick and pretty minimal since it's a fast food place. Lots of seating inside and the place was clean and industrial. Overall, I paid around $20 for the meal. Not a bad find. Not sure if I'd seek this place out, but I would eat here again.

Even though Melt Shop started off as a grilled cheese shop, it's become more of a chicken sandwich destination. Grilled cheese and fried chicken sounds like a great comfort food pairing if you ask me. I chose Melt Shop to cater a work lunch for about 10 people. I liked that they offer several combo meals. For example, you have the option to order one of their classic melts, a chicken sandwich or 3 tenders each with Chips and a cookie. They also have a la carte options. For our lunch, we ordered one order of classic chicken sandwiches (each order comes with ten sandwiches), 1 tray of chicken tenders, 2 orders of fries and chocolate chip cookies. This was more than enough to feed our group. The order arrived on time and was still warm when we received it. Overall, the price was pretty reasonable too on a per person basis. Compared to other chicken sandwiches I had, I thought this one was good. The chicken patty was a nice size and it was crispy. The bun was also toasted, which I liked, and the sandwich came with pickles and Mayo. It wasn't at the top of my list but certainly a nice local option. The fries weren't as crispy as I'd like but I would still order from here again. I'm really curious to try some of their more unique sandwiches too like their Korean chicken sandwich or chicken melts.

The food is decent. Came here for lunch. We had burgers, a chicken melt and fries. They made my daughter's burger incorrect. Despite us ordering it plain with cheese, they made it like displayed on the menu. They didn't seem too happy when we pointed out the mistake but quickly corrected it however, the rest of our party were pretty much done with our food by time it came out.

Food is delicious for a "chain". Service was good at this location! It's NY so its tight & busy as expected. We got our food pretty quickly though. Its a cute sandwich/grilled cheese spot. definitely would like to be back to try different things on the menu.

good food, decent service, ok ambience. Had a Cheeseburger, fries and Lemonade. Burger tasted fresh but a little overcooked. Girl taking the orders was pleasant. Place was busy, so it took awhile for the food to come out. Overall the place was clean. If I'm the neighborhood, I'd go back.

Highly recommend the mozzarella sticks!! They are very tasty and even when full i had to buy another one before we left, the severs/staff here are super friendly.

The melt shop was a great choice for my family and I. I had a cheeseburger and fries which was delicious! The atmosphere was not to great at not to bad so it was just right. Service gave me my food in like 10-15 mins. No complaining 5 stars

Fun go to fast food with variety of options they add seasonal items so can always try something new the staff at this location at the time I went was friendly

Service was pretty good, and food was DELICIOUS. However the environment was not very clean. Families who ate before us left huge messes, but no one was cleaning. Overall pretty good experience, and I strongly recommend you go try it!

The melt shop on 50th and 7th ave is my favorite location! They have the most consistent high quality food- especially compared to their sister location on 8th ave up a few blocks. 50th MELT SHOP IS SUPERIOR! The staff at this location are always all so professional, courteous and KIND. You can see why, bc their manager is equally wonderful! Once I placed an order as I was leaving work, and arrived 5 min after close (thanks MTA). He saw me at the door, and ran over with my order asking just to confirm my name. What was remarkable is the manager was cleaning- he did the close out work alongside his team. Also my salad was fire- just so tasty. Don't forget to give feedback for free tots on your next order. I love the salads- and the chicken sandwiches ! My bf favorite is the GRILLED CHICKEN CHIPOTLE RANCH salad. I myself oscillate between the asian grilled chicken salad (w mandarin ) and the crispy chicken ranch salad The manager on today 7/8/22 Tory was the best!!!

Overly priced and average are the first words that come to mind when describing this place. The burger I ordered, a double cheeseburger, was under-seasoned and had an overly sweet and vinegary taste to it. In addition, the biggie crispy chicken was saturated with honey and thus far too sweet for my partner's liking. The only consolation to be found in our meal were the Nashville chicken tenders, though they were a bit rife with cayenne seasoning. Overall, my recommendation to management would be to ensure more balanced flavors and to recalibrate accordingly. My recommendation to yelpers on the other hand would be to skip this place entirely--even Times Square is laden of places with better food and value.

i put in such a gargantuas order and they prepared it so fast i was actually in awe. AND THE FOOD ohhhh man the food was so good. a little pricey? yes. but that's what you gotta do for the do... ya know?

A fast casual grilled cheese and melts shop- what more could you want? Ordering is available at a kiosk and food is ready fast. I got their classic grilled cheese which was what you'd expect! It was nicely toasted and the portion was large. We got both the tater tots and fries- both of which were great! Would definitely return for a quick bite.

Food was good. But one of my friends ordered a mac and cheese burger , they didn't put mac and cheese on the burger, then had my friend wait 5 minutes to provide him with a scoop of mac and cheese and have him put it on himself. Should've just provided him a new sandwich , instead of having him wait 5 minutes for a scoop of mac and cheese that stuck on the foil container.

I would definitely recommend the ambiance is peaceful yet alive. The food was very good I got the Mac and cheese ans shared it with my dad. After a long rainy day in NY it was nice to finally relax we also got some mozzarella sticks *tip take the mozzarella stick put it in the sauce then sprinkle the cheese*. Is was probably one of the best meals I had while visiting the workers/employees where very nice and funny. Def giving this place a 5 star

Came here with my boyfriend last week to grab lunch. I ordered their spicy chicken sandwich and it was ok. My bf ordered the chicken melt and it just did not taste good and it was kind of cold. We also ordered tater tots with cheese. They literally served us hard cheese on the tater tots. It's self service .

Would not recommend this place. The service was terrible. The lady at the register ended up charging me for things I didn't order. Then when I spoke to her about it she said I will get a refund however she couldn't provide me w a receipt to prove it. She brushed me off saying if I don't see it in my account by next week to call their customer service number. Smh. Food is below average. Grill cheese had no taste and the cheese was not even melted. The AC was broken so it was really hot inside.

Really solid burger spot. I like trying new burger joints where traveling has the Melt Shop had a fun burger on sourdough with Mac n cheese in it! Was a good solid fill up before hitting a show. Would go again.

Ordered online and fulfilled by GrubHub. Arrived at Melt Shop a few minutes before the food was predicted to be ready. They couldn't locate my order in their system. I showed them the order on my phone, including the order number. You would think they could locate it with that information, but the staff were too lazy or clueless to make that mental leap. I called GrubHub help line to cancel the order and after a couple of minutes on the phone with them the person behind the counter called my name. I thanked the GrubHub agent, who was courteous and helpful, and got my order. Good thing I didn't take my to go order and leave, because one bite into the burger it was obvious that there was no bacon on the bacon cheeseburger. Oh, and did I mention that they forgot my shake as well? I asked for it and got an Oh yeah.... I brought the burger back to the pickup spot next to the grill and said I was pretty sure that the bacon was missing. The guy that had been cooking took my burger and, with his gloved hands, opened it and then said to me "yeah, there's no bacon" and then nothing else. Just left the burger with a bite missing open next to the grill, left his gloves on, and messed around for a few minutes while I waited, thinking they would make another burger. Nope. Several minutes later, the burger now barely warm, he puts on two pieces of the lamest bacon imaginable, closes up the sandwich, hands it back. I take my chances with the obvious lack of food safety this place aspires to, and eat the burger, since I'm really hungry. It tastes like it has a hint of peanut butter, and this is not tasty. I toss about half of it and leave. If you want bad food, made carelessly, by staff with zero motivation or customer care, and the potential for food safety problems, this is your kind of joint.

Our first day of sightseeing in NYC, the big melted cheese picture caught our attention as we walked by. Still drooling over it so we had to get it on our way back. We decided to share the Truffle Melt and it was divine! It had Muenster cheese, mixed greens, black pepper & truffle oil on a white bread. Crunchy and warm! We were actually on our way to a late lunch somewhere else or else we'd order another sandwich. Such a simple dish but yet so satisfying. Wish there's something similar out on the West Coast! Delicious!

I've ordered delivery from this location several times and the food is consistently great. That said, I can't fathom how a menu lacks any and all allergen information in this day and age. I literally order the same two items over and over without ever trying something new for fear of a potential allergic reaction. Please add allergens to your menu - some of us need to know!

Nice lunch spot. Not your average fast food. The Grilled Cheese is a no-brainer, pretty dang good. I love their salads, not too heavy with well seasoned protein. The Tomato Soup is a nice add-on.

Waited online today to order and watched an employee curse out a customer and then start the throwing kitchen items and utensils and cursing and screaming endlessly. I left and won't return. It's a shame because the food is great.

If you are looking for a good, juicy sloppy burger after a night out, this is your spot. A friend ordered the gluten free grilled cheese and it was super dry and underwhelming. The cheese on the fries is like nacho cheese and was not my cup of tea. Overall okay.

Nice lunch stop in the heart of midtown NYC. The Chicken bacon ranch melt was the star entree where as the Korean BBQ tenders and buffalo tenders were ok. The melt was a reasonable price ~$10 and the tenders were ~$10 but came with fries. The Korean BBQ favor was good but the breading on the tenders was falling apart. Overall I would come to this place for the melts/ sandwich instead of the tenders l.

Delicious!!! So glad I came here for lunch. I had the crispy chicken avocado bacon ranch sandwich, Pimento Mac, and the Parmesan herb fries. I'm definitely returning. Everything was so flavorful and fresh. The staff was very kind as well.

I *really* wanted to like this place. The price is low (which should have been a red flag), the interior is clean, and the staff is friendly. The rest is negative. The food is served like warm. How can you fry chicken and still have it like warm on the inside. I can almost guarantee the chicken wasn't cooked thoroughly. My stomach is turning over right now. The sauces were actually quite nice, but the food was cooked terribly. Also, one of the worst ways to describe chicken is ~s~l~i~m~y~ and these wings were SLIMY. They were also HUGE. This is indicative of hormones, pumped with water, or something worse. It's a shame, I was hoping for a good wing place I could walk to in 2 minutes. Oh well

I got the chicken sandwich with mac & cheese and let me tell you for a Sunday at work that 100% hit the spot. Do you know when you crave something and you finally get it into your system it was phenomenal. The only thing I would recommend is, if you could switch out the plain bread for a sticker version that could be a little bit more toasted but besides that it was a big portion and very very good.

The service was not that bad, but the food, was a nightmare, the Parmesan fries were only fries with out any flavor of Parmesan, the tender were everything but crunchy. and finally the music were really loud and we can barely hear the woman calling our order.

I didn't wanna leave a rating this low, but good Lord this was a mess. I walked in and the staff was busy doing what they were doing, and I was glanced at a few times with no greeting. A guy who I think was a manager motioned for one of the employees to go over and take my order. He looked defeated. I ask questions about some of these items and it seems their salads are just a few toppings thrown together with sauces and chicken. They don't even have cucumbers. I skipped it all together. I ended up ordering the classic chicken sandwich with lettuce & tomato with a strawberry lemonade. It was made fairly quickly and and looked like it would be a tasty meal. I was wrong. The chicken was overcooked, almost burned and had no flavor whatsoever. Sadly, the bread was the star of the show, as it was a brioche, very soft and fresh. Ringing in over $10, and $4 for lemonade, I expected a little more than this.

Food was excellent. Family had a cheeseburger (perfect), Buffalo chicken sandwich, grilled cheese for the kid and parm fries. Staff was great, carried out our meals to our tables seeing we had our hands full with kids. Very kind. The place was very clean and not too loud. Prices were reasonably and would recommend.

Giving it 2 stars only it was clean. We got 2 melts: chipotle chicken and the Nashville chicken. It was disgusting. The bread is fried in the oil that has this specific smell and taste like it was previously used for 100+ times. The chipotle sauce is just as disgusting, and the mix overall is bad. Could not eat much of it, even tho we were super hungry. The stuff wasn't helpful. Never again.

I ordered two avocado melts and both came with buttered raw bread and NO avocado! Wtf? And o found a huge pepper stem in the sandwich. Never again Melt. Your quality control is awful

Melt Shop is awesome! I mean, bread and cheese are awesome. How could you not love it?! They offer up a menu of unique melty sandwich options, including chicken sandwiches, burgers, and grilled cheeses, that are served freshly-made. Everything I tried from this spot was delicious! I opted for the Fried Chicken Chicken Melt, which was great! The chicken was crispy, the red cabbage slaw was refreshing, and the Melt Sauce was really tasty! I also got an order of Shop Tots, which are herbed parmesan tater tots, and those were awesome. I love tater tots, and the topping on these made them even better! My cousin option for a grilled cheese, because how can you not love a grilled cheese? The bread was toasted to perfection and the cheese was melty goodness. If you're looking for a great spot for an easy lunch or dinner, I think Melt Shop is a great spot to check out!

I waited in line patiently for 25mins, then they forgot my order, I stood there for another 15mins and it didn't come out, asked again then said they'll start making it but it's been 45mins for a friggin' Cheeseburger! I asked for a refund and I'm hoping they'll refund me. If there's a line, DON'T wait in it. It's a mess. I wasn't the only one they forgot about. Super disappointed and going hangry back to work.

I've always wanted to try Melt Shop, but never had a chance. Today, my husband and I stopped in because they're running a promo to feed healthcare workers. This is truly a great gesture and we appreciate it. My husband got the fried chicken melt and really enjoyed the authentic pimento spread. I got the Mike's Honey Hot chicken sandwich, which was tasty as well. We'll definitely be back to try more of their menu. Thank you for taking care of healthcare workers during this time of crisis!

I'm writing a review for Melt Shop on 50th Street in Manhattan. It's an excellent spot for food, especially if you're looking for something healthy. As a courier driver for DHL, this is my go-to place, and I highly recommend it for anyone seeking quick, nutritious, and delicious meals. The staff is incredibly friendly, and there's a standout employee named Warren. He's always wearing a smile and creates a welcoming atmosphere that brings me joy and makes me want to return.

Worst place ever. Fries trash, burger wet like a hurricane, would rather eat off the floor :)))))))))))))

Came here for a quick lunch with the family. It was a little not as expected, but we really liked the food. I had thought this was going to be a sit down restaurant with menus and order via waiter. Nope. You enter and get in a line and order at a counter via a menu board of fun choices. You then get a buzzer which lets you know your food is ready and go pick it up. When we were there, it was quite crowded and difficult to get a table, but we did after some patience. We were stuck at the corner by the door, so we were treated to constant breezes as customers kept coming inside. We had a burger melt, fried chicken melt, vegetable melt, a plain melt (grilled cheese), and two sets of TOTS! Tots, glorious Tots! Wife had to have them plain, though. These were crunchy and crispy tots fresh made goodness. All of the sandwiches had good bread, and nothing bad at all about the insides. To save a little money, we had curtesy water cups that we filled from the soda fountain. $55 for four, and you get 5% back via Yelp money if you use your registered card.

First time here and my burger was burnt and inedible. The parm fries were ok. My cousin said the strawberry shake was the best part of her meal. She ordered tenders and fries and said it was serviceable. Unfortunately, they did not have Korean sauce today. The staff was really nice though. I would come back to try their grilled cheese sandwich.
