"This is smaller and less crazy than some other markets. There's plenty of fresh produce, but there are also some prepared food stands where you can pick up a snack. Recently, some cool vintage stands have started to pop up here, too. Its central location means parking later in the day can be difficult."

Google
This farmers market located on the famous Melrose Place. in Los Angeles does not disappoint. They have fresh fruits and vegetables, a variety of breads and baked goods, flowers and honey and honey products. Some stands also have lots of nuts and mushrooms. If you are visiting we went on a Sunday and it was really hopping. A tad pricey, but it is Melrose Place. The street was flat and wheelchair accessible. There was a wheelchair accessible port of John as well. if you are tourist you may want to stock up on fruit and vegetables as well as breads that you can take with you to outings or parks. A great money saver. There were many people with their dogs, and it appears the great is a great place to people watch. I would suggest if you're bringing a dog to come early because it is on blacktop. Of course some people carry their dogs around on them or baby strollers. As a New Jersey guy not very used to that. But hey if you love your dog no shame there.

LA Marathon had me closed of to my destination so I turn onto La Cienega and what did I stumble into… Spring has the vegetables, citrus and fat strawberries. Had a coffee and pastries (must have been five bakeries and it was a chore to choose). Fabulous mushrooms, wow so good. Ok back to the strawberries, you can smell the scent from two yards away, I felt like part dog. They are in prime like they do three times a year. Love this time of year, nice farmers market and the vendors are so friendly kind and happy. Go there.

Google
Very charming farmers market with a wide selection of vendors from local fruit and veggie farmers to French pastries, Lebanese dips, cool ceramics, florists, plants & even jewelry. Bref, it’s a lovely Sunday ritual to do alone or with friends & family.

Google
Food is fresh, well laid out Farmers' Market. Parking can be tight--thats the only downside. Says service dogs only, but people take their dogs--which has never been a problem. Family-friendly, fun!!!

Barbara Coy-Hogan

Google
They have everything a Farmers Market should have: seasonal produce, baked goods, meat, eggs, honey. And to complete your errands, there's plenty of gift booths with jewelry, etc.

Amy Zanlungo

Google
It's not very big but has a little of everything (fresh produce, food vendors, and jewelry). The macarons at Bumblecrumpet are good and relatively cheap. Really enjoyed the fish and shrimp tacos from Bigg Boyz Taco Shack.

Google
This is a surprisingly vibrant and charming spot that captures the essence of community and fresh, high-quality products. Melrose Place Farmers Market is my favourite weekend destination. Highly recommended!

Robert Rouse

Google
There is wide variety of booths and the prices were very reasonable consider the high cost of living of the neighborhood.

Yelp
Came here for the first time and absolutely loved everything: the ambience, people, dogs, food, fresh produce and flowers...

Yelp
I like this FM, obviously parking sucks like most places in LA especially the west side, but neighborhood is nice, not far from the Larchmont FM either, which is cool and convenient. Purchased sourdough bread that was decent but a bit overpriced. Also purchased a macadamia with almond butter that has Reishi and Ashwaganda tastes pretty good and price wasn't bad. Would comeback again.

Yelp
I decided to read the reviews before I wrote mine to see if I aligned in opinion. For the most part mine does align with past reviews. Also, there really haven't been any recent reviews. So here's mine. Located on the street of Melrose Place, the West Hollywood Farmers Market (not get confused with Melrose Trading Post---that's different!!!)) has always been in my top 3 of all of Los Angeles County Farmers Markets. You can find an array of vendors that have booths selling just about anything. You can find, flowers, jewelry, incense, candles, natural body sponges and homemade soaps, perfumes, and of course food. As for food, you have a wide variety of vendors! My favorites are Dave's Korean Gourmet where I purchase homemade kimchi, vegan pot stickers, and glass noodles, spicy miso sauce, and broth. I also love to buy fresh lettuce, strawberries, kale, grapefruit, and avocado from the local farmers that have booths there. I even buy my lions mane mushroom there. My last visit, I discovered two new vendors!!! My first discovery (La Montagne Des Saveurs) is family owned and sells homemade aged cheese imported from directly from France. My favorite cheese is the aged smoked truffle Gouda!!! So creamy and smooth!!! My second discovery is Soup De Jour!!! Soup De Jour is also family owned and makes fresh homemade soups that are so good and their combination of ingredients are next level!!!! There are also food vendors that have hot food items available for purchase as well vendors from different ethnic backgrounds. So there's something for everyone!!! The only thing I have a complaint about is the parking. The parking space limited, so either you get there early or walk if you live close by. If you're in the West Hollywood area on Sundays, the West Hollywood Farmers Market is open from 10am-2pm.

Yelp
I can buy mediocre, non-organic produce covered in pesticides at the grocery store if I wanted to. Isn't a farmers market supposed to be better? Why is there literally no organic produce here??! None. I'm not exaggerating. Even the fish is farm raised. That being said, it's cute. If you're there to walk around, socialize, buy flowers or count how many dogs are there, even though there are signs posted that only service animals are allowed because it is a health code violation, maybe this is your place.

Yelp
Love this Farmer's Market -- has a great selection of produce, breads, and prepared products. Brothers Products is my absolute favorite and they always offer a great number of samples! I just tried the crepe stand, and it was cooked to perfection and made for a delightful meal as I wandered the rest of the market.

Aliyah C.

Yelp
Smaller but nice market (maybe 2 blocks). Mostly groceries, but there were a few tents that were selling food if you want to go get breakfast or lunch, as well as some selling jewelry. Street parking around the area is tricky but you can find some if you are willing to walk a few blocks.

kylie m.

Yelp
Such a great market, not as big as Brentwood but got some great gems like Brothers Dips and Hasi bread!

Stacy F.

Yelp
Melrose Place Farmer's Market has more the feeling of a family get together than a disjointed shopping experience with a bunch of strangers. The market is just a block or two long, but it sports a great group of vendors, and everything that you might want is there. Really fresh produce. In addition, Sweetzer Gourmet Popcorn has a stall there, and they make the best caramel corn in Los Angeles County, which means that it may be the best caramel corn in the world. Worth a trip just for this.

Yelp
Awful street parking [Hours]: Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM. [Parking]: One of the worst farmers market to find parking. Street parking only and I got really lucky finding a metered parking on Waring Ave / La Cienega Blvd (two block away). [Amenities & vendors]: This market has tons of bouquet shops and many of them sell aromatherapy candles. Approximately 1/3 of vendors are bouquet shops and 2/3 are farmers. I did not see any food vendors other than a food truck that sells bagels (Yeastie Boys Bagels); however, Alfred Coffee is literally right next to the market and many Gen Z and Millennial customers lined up for their coffees (Iced Vanilla Latte = signature drink). This is a decently sized market with horrible parking situation and not-too-many hot food options here; however, the quality of these vendors are pretty solid and there are plenty of local bouquet shops to check out in this area.

Yelp
Great farmers market in WeHo! This one felt slightly bigger/better than the Beverly Hills one which is also close by. Good variety of produce, hot/prepared food, jewelry, other goods, etc. I got lucky with street parking but not sure what it's like later than 10am ish. On Google, it says it's open 10 am to 2 pm, but I believe it actually opens at 9. I'll be back, so many vendors to try!

Barry W.

Yelp
*** K, I'm crushing on this farmer's market. *** I came by last week and had to return today. Several booths with excellent offerings imho. Pëurr ... many goat milk & olive oil soaps ... 5 I got a bar of the eucalyptus & peppermint. It smells great and actually moisturizes skin. Unity ... assorted freshly prepared bagels ... 5 Selection includes plain, garlic, onion, poppy seed, cinnamon raisin and jalapeño & cheese. Delicious. Come early bc these sell out quickly. Green House ... plants, cacti, succulents ... 4 I scored a couple of very unique cacti here. Also a couple of interesting tropical plants. Merci Maman ... homemade cold soups ... 3 Great story of how this business came to be. You must ask its lovely French proprietor to tell. However as much as I'd wanted to like raw cold soups, my carnivorous palate rejected the taste. Yet I'm sure that vegans will def appreciate this. Also several fruit, veggie, bakery, and jewelry booths here also. All are extraordinarily good at marketing. Perhaps this is the most polished farmer's market in LA. A bit pricey but very nice. *** Starts @8am Sundays. Free street prkg. ***

Yelp
Lots of amazing vendors from around the LA county. Suggest getting there before 9am to bypass crowds. Rescue pets are allowed and perfect for the family.

Laura P.

Yelp
New favorite farmer's market! Less variety than some other markets, but incredibly high quality produce at surprisingly reasonable prices. Cannot get over how friendly all the farmers were, and everyone there seemed to be enjoying themselves tremendously. Lots of hot food, jewelry, and clothing to peruse, too.

Elysse T.

Yelp
Open on Sundays from 10am-2pm. We like to go early before our favorite salsa is sold out! Highly recommend the Habanero Salsa vendor; we love the mango habanero salsa and the spicy morita salsa. They have a great ceviche too. Other than salsa, they have a variety of vendors: fresh produce, hummus/pita, jewelry, honey, all kinds of stuff. Don't forget to pick up a nice bouquet of flowers! Treat yourself, girl!

Seth B.

Yelp
To make a long story short, I love this place! To make a short story longer.....this market I found while doing my usual Sunday walk. What I have found is the perfectly sized market with extremely well chosen products. You have jewelry, crystals, produce, fish, cheese, just to name a few. It also has excellent stores to look at (though mostly not open on Sunday). The people watching is stellar. The experience is always happy. I recommend this market emphatically!!

Jay A.

Yelp
This has become my absolute favorite Farmers Market. I've gone to a dozen different over the years in reasonable proximity to my house (Beverly Grove). This small to mid-size Farmers Market works best for me. Why? Excellent fresh baked bread from several vendors at fair prices. Good produce at acceptable prices. At the Beverly Hills Farmers Market the vendors price gouge. Free parking on several of the side streets. I hate to pay for parking or trek a mile to my car. 100% friendly vendors, low pressure to buy and folks out to have a nice Sunday. Great dips/spreads, Korean prepared foods, hummus, flowers, soap/candles - well u name it they have it here. Everything I personally want in a Farmers Market I get here. Hence I'm here every Sunday now.

Laura T.

Yelp
oOoohh.. never been to this Farmer's Market, first time attending and I love it! Arrived around 9:45 am, and the market was well attended. There were a lot of vendors: flowers, food, craft, plants and random items. While walking around you can smell the aroma of all the delicious food they have. Everyone is very friendly and nice, items sold are high quality, I got a bundle of roses and they are still beautiful. I def will return! Parking is a bit of an issue, purely street parking, beware most streets require permits!

Adrian V.

Yelp
You should check out the new salsa vendor great habanero mango salsa not pico de gallo a real salsa !

Olivia H.

Yelp
I live less than a mile from this Farmer's Market which is probably equidistant to the Beverly Hills farmer's market. Both open Sunday 9 - 2 and 9-1, respectively. Both are also equally lovely. For pure market shopping, Beverly Hills wins since it's larger with more produce vendors and the free library parking next door gives it bonus points. Melrose Place FM, however, is adorable and cute and perfectly fit to the scale of the short street. What I love is that you can do multiple things in one run. Upon waking on this fine Sunday morning, I was feeling what I like to think is what Etta James felt when singing her, 'Sunday Kind of Mood', ya know? I threw on some Ray Charles, drank my morning espresso reading emails, then proceeded to grab my pup and head over to the Farmer's Market for a change of scenery and maybe grab a morning pastry. The logistics first: this being prime Weho on a weekend, parking isn't the easiest. If you go before 11, it's better and you can probably snag metered parking along the main Melrose Ave. This being Weho, the Farmer's Market is super dog-friendly, unlike many other farmers markets. Melrose Place, itself, is arguably one of the cutest streets in all of L.A. With it's Neo Classicial French delivered with a SoCal spin on it, and the tree lined oak trees, it's really just a pleasant stroll. The retail shops along the stroll include Balmain, APC, Glossier, Santa Maria Novella, Isabelle Marant, etc., so you'll be well taken care of should a hit of retail urge hit you. Alfred coffee and Fig and Olive line opposite ends of the street in case you want a more sit down affair while taking in the people watching. People watching here, by the way, is really great. The vendors are the typical fare - the produce, the hummus stand, the nuts stands, the baked goods, and hot foods, etc. I'd say, though, relative to the size, there are at least 3 gluten free, plant based baked goods stands. Anyway, the moral of the story is, if you, also, wake up one fine morning with a Sunday kind of mood, then treat yourself and head over to the Melrose place farmer's market, take in the sun and scenery, while drinking your second cup of coffee and sweet pastry and bask it all in.

Yelp
Love this farmers market. I live really close to here so I always come here. There is a wide variety of produce and accessories for this market being on the smaller side. All of the booths have very friendly workers/ owners who are very knowledgeable of the products that they are selling. Love all of the free samples. Cons: It's very small so I wish that they were more options

Bindi P.

Yelp
Came across this cute little farmers market while walking around the area with some friends on a Sunday afternoon. The market is on the smaller side, but has tons of options. The hummus place is great, I've seen them at other markets as well. The highlight for me was honey sticks. They are so addicting and well priced! 5 for a dollar. My friend had never had them before and went bat shit crazy. She ended up getting 20. Cinnamon ones are my favorite! The market is definitely a hidden gem as it's snuggled behind melrose on a side street. Great time walking around. We parked at a meter on melrose.

Tania Z.

Yelp
My favorite farmers makers ever!! Major vibes here, doesn't feel like your in la. So cute, trendy and romantic. Perfect place to go on a Sunday morning to grab coffee/breakfast, walk around and shop. They have all sorts of vendors with lots of goodies like sage/incense, homemade soaps, handmade jewelry, fresh baguettes, fruits/vegetables and more!!

Michael M.

Yelp
Very interesting, good fresh vegetables and breads. The exhibition area was very well organized and the vendors were very friendly

Pierce R.

Yelp
I love the variety of different vendors this farmers market has, everything from fresh veggies and herbs, seamoss and jewelry. I look forward to sundays meeting with the local small businesses and talking to them about their story and their products. A nice walk on a Sunday to get fresh air and great for a family walk as well.

R S.

Yelp
Small and quaint farmers market pops up on Melrose Place street every Sunday from 10am-2pm. It starts where La Cienega Blvd meets Melrose Pl. just behind the valet parking for the restaurant Fig & Olive...which was our first stop...so this market was a perfectly convenient finish to stroll through after our meal. Lots of fruit & veggie venders...flowers, jewelry & breads...but what caught my eye was the goat milk Glendora Soap stand labeled peurr. They all smelled so good, and they can be used for your entire body! You can wash your face, use as body soap, shaving aid, shampoo & conditioner...wow! I picked the charcoal lavender eucalyptus bar...and after it being in the car for a few hours after the purchase, it left its lovely lavender scent for us to enjoy as we got back in...the perfect soothing aroma for our drive back to Orange County.

Cindy W.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday morning with a friend last weekend after a workout class. This farmers market is a bit hidden as it is hard to spot immediately as you drive by. However, street parking was easy, which was a plus for LA. I love the variety of vendors they have here, despite how small of a farmers market this one is compared to other farmers market I have been to. All the vendors were extremely friendly and gave us many samples of their products, which was amazing since we were starving after the workout class :) My favorite vendors are Completely Pickled (get their Southwestern spicy pickles), JJC jewelry (very affordable dainty solid gold jewelry here), and this Korean food vendor (forget the name) with delicious side dishes and this AMAZING broth they make from cooking all their veggies that can be consumed hot like a beverage or used as a broth to cook. There are also fresh produce, flowers, pastries, nuts, etc. available. I love how this farmers market is so close to me and I definitely will be back!

lorie a.

Yelp
been coming here for the longest time, great vendors with great prices. if you have to try one thing, i would say try the tamales from ruben! so great and taste amazing.

Darling A.

Yelp
Very cute farmer's market on Sundays! It's on the smaller side but it has everything you need...lots of fruits and veggies, soaps, art, flowers, and of course delicious food. And the pastries are oh so tempting. It's hard to walk by without buying something delicious. FYI, most vendors take CC but some of the fruit/veggies vendors don't do make sure to bring some cash!

Lea L.

Yelp
I love this farmers market, it's super convenient and always has great selections of produce and vendors! Lots of fresh produce and yummy vegan foods. You can find soap, florwers, candles and jewelry! I've bought for the upcoming Hollidays a piece of jewelry from a French booth (@Sweet Madness) that sells only French designers and I will definitely come back ! Always a fun way to some time on a Sunday morning, they are open from 10am-2pm.

Pauline M.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised, after moving in the neighborhood, and seeing this farmers market on Sunday on a pretty small street (the same one with Diesel, Marc Jacob men...). What's not to like? People selling food within steps of my home. It doesn't get lazier than this, people. Fresh fruit, veggies, delicious home made hummus, yummy bread, delicious tamales, olives, fresh flowers, other random goodies and some jewelry or home goods stuff. It's not the best farmers market evarrrr and not the cheapest thing either but it's convenient and I'll be here from time to time since it's just that close. I wouldn't make this a destination, but for the locals it's great. Plus, there's free grazing for fruit....mmmm I like free. Just like this boy likes turtles http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMNry4PE93Y

Ahloria O.

Yelp
My mom and I went to Los Angeles for an event I had and I wanted to go down melrose and see the pink wall. We just so happened to go on the right day and we were nothing but impressed. The strawberries were to die for and the people were so nice. It was genuinely a great experience so when I go back I definitely know to go!

Rachel M.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I spotted the white tents synonymous with farmer's markets as we were trying to find parking for Alfred Coffee. The Melrose Place Farmer's Market was a nice surprise that I will try to go to more often. I also like that it's less crowded. There were friendly vendors eager to share samples with a reasonable prices. We bought tomatoes, basil, Asian pears, and Summerfield apples. Although it's not as big as others, the selection was good and fulfills basic farmer's markets needs whether if you are looking for organic produce, a quick lunch, flowers, or snacks.

Betsy R.

Yelp
We just moved and this is our new neighborhood market. Our other market was Larchmont. It's a small market, which I prefer. It's set up better than Larchmont b/c it's easier to get around, not as crowded and not as many kids. I also like that my husband can bring the dog and prowl the outskirts in view while I take care of the shopping. They have pretty much everything I go to the market for: strawberries, oranges, lemons, limes, avocados, and fresh veggies. As expected, the fruits are always good. And they have an amazing bread guy. The pistachio/raisin bread is AWESOME and the sweet treats - almond chocolate croissants are also pretty damn good. The cheese truck offers a limited but good selection of cheeses. Compared to the Larchmont market, the veggie selection is a bit more limited. They do not have wheat grass or arugula. They have a few hummus guys but so far, I haven't found anyone as good as the 2 guys at the Larchmont market. They also don't have a pasta guy. The flower selection is OK but not as good as Larchmont. If this place wasn't walking distance, I would go to the Larchmont market instead. But since this is close to home and I can walk, it's good enough.

Joshua O.

Yelp
I would never give a farmers market a bad review because there can never be enough. There are a lot of these Sunday only pop up markets in LA, this one has a great location off of Melrose and a whole variety of farms and food vendors with samples galore. One can find fresh citrus, herbs, vegetables, some specialty products, and fresh cut flowers. There are the staples and always some new booths which keeps it interesting, one regular vendor sells vegetarian products and they have the best broth, available in a cup to sip, or a larger container to take home. Always a fun way to some time on a Sunday morning, they are open from 10am-2pm.

Amy M.

Yelp
A very tiny farmer's market. I would have liked to see more organic foods and fresh juices. The fried chicken sandwiches are really good at Free Range Chicken. However I noticed only one guy who was wearing gloves, and on one hand. Not sure how sanitary that is to be touching your face and money and then the food. Other people in line were commenting on that as well.

Robert H.

Yelp
My bf and I stumbled into this Farmer's Market while looking for parking for the Pride Parade in WeHo. It was dead and the vendors looked bored and listless. On a normal Sunday, it would have probably been busier, but this was the day of Pride, so most of the people were watching the parade, rather than doing their Sunday brunch time shopping. The Farmer's Market is small but seemed to cover the basics in terms of fresh produce. One of the vendors asked if I wanted to sample their homemade Popsicles, but I declined. In retrospect, I should have tried it. No harm in a free sample and I may have liked the flavor. I felt a little pity for the vendors because I could tell this was not a good day for them. One of them was even sleeping with his head on a table. They would have been better off if they were located closer to the Parade that day. If you live in the area, I would encourage you to give the Melrose Place Farmer's Market a try.

Ana G.

Yelp
Almond butter, watermelon juice, hummus samples, unlimited free fruit!! It's a little on the smaller side, but you can't beat a farmers market that's walking distance from a friends house.

Sal D.

Yelp
Best place to go on a Sunday don't forget to visit the Vita Juice stand best cold press juice ever

Severine C.

Yelp
Such a cool Market! Start your Shopping by buying beautiful fresh flowers at the entrance, fill your bag with delicious strawberries and veggies, get your breakfast at Pitchoun Bakery where the croissants are just as good as in Paris, load up your basket with the best cookies and coffee cakes at The Crazy French Lady for Fashion Bistro and treat yourself with a piece of jewelry or a massage at the end of the Market. Definitely the place to be on Sunday !!!

Kate Lý J.

Yelp
Lots of fresh produce and yummy vegan foods. You'll spend $6 on strawberries and regret it a little, but those will be some damn good strawberries. Love all the free samples, and how nice everyone is! Overall a very pleasant (and sorta bougie) experience.

Mary Janet S.

Yelp
I was at this Market last Sunday and i like it a lot. Bought a lot of fresh veggies and give it a try to a pasta booth called Qpasta. It was delicious! really tasty and light for a box of pasta. A lot of people are afraid with carbs but when you try this pasta you don't feel guilty at all, you just want to buy more to eat in the office on Monday. Well done guys!

Yelp
Made a great find on our last visit: Kill Sauce, the best tasting hot sauce we ever had. Comes in three flavors: Habanero, Jalapeno an Fresno. All great tasting. Not extremely hot, that punishes your entire digestive system, or scorches your mouth and roles the skin in your mouth. Kill Sauce is very tasty with just the right amount of heat and spiciness. It enhances your epicurean experience, not Kill it. Must check this out.

Yelp
My new discovery and from the looks of things, not many others know it's here, except for the immediate locals. That's great for me but not so good for the merchants, as the crowds are sparse each time I go there. Not as big as many of the other markets, it still has most of the variety and the prices match up just as well if not better than all the others. Right in the heart of WeHo on Melrose Place, it it is on one of the nicest blocks in the city, peppered with high end clothing stores and shops secluded in ivy covered buildings. A nice place for a stroll. Last week I got great deals the farmer market way, merchants throwing in a few extra fruits or veggies for free, giving me free rolls with my purchase of a loaf of bread, or giving me a whole roasted chicken, delicious, when I only paid for 1/2. Nice. Sundays 10-2. I'll be baaack!

Ang A.

Yelp
I love that when people think "Melrose Place" they want to see Heather Locklear. FAIL! that was a 90's soap people. wake up and smell the delicious goodies at the real melrose place in west hollywood! Amazing Tamale guy, they are homemade and pork, veggie, chicken and cheese, beef. True food porn! Even the Greek booth (I'm an EXTREMELY tough critique of Greek food) is a great booth! fresh and just like yia yia makes!! The empanadas from that cool guy on the end are spectacular. ONE GRIPE!!!! People, if it says no dogs... NO DOGS. I have no problem being that guy that will tap you on the shoulder to see if you are blind or to ask for their service vest then call authorities to have you removed. It is uncool to think you are Lisa vanderpump from the real house wives of BH and think you can smuggle your Pomeranian or Chihuahua under your tit,. it is not sanitary!!! there are open trays of samples out and my future dinner!! Be respectable! I even watched one cocker spaniel take a dump next to the flower guy. GROSS KEEP YOUR DOGS HOME. I am a dog owner BUT come on not at the open air market or grocery stores..ewwwww!!! Overall: its smaller than the other LA spots and prices seem to be the same, I just wish there were more vendors like the RAD soup guy in the hollywood / vine one

Liz N.

Yelp
Been coming here for a month or so now, and this weekend I had such a different experience here that now I'm not sure what to think of it! Usually (aka, every Sunday other than this past weekend) this market is small, unassuming - just a handful of produce vendors, a couple of artisan/craft/jewelry stands, and a couple of prepared food vendors. This weekend was about 75% artisan/craft/jewelry, a handful of fruit vendors, and TWO -- TWO! veggie vendors. Now, there is a difference between not having too much variety, and not having anything to choose from at all. I shall just hope this was a fluke, because my kitchen doesn't get stocked from overpriced (but lovely, I'm sure!) homemade jewelry! However -- parking for this market is a DREAM. Metered parking within a 2 minute walk? In abundance? Reason alone to never go back to the Hollywood Sunday Farmers Market.

Victoria D.

Yelp
I love this farmers market, it's super convenient and always has great selections of produce and vendors! My favorite is Yalla Hummus! Everyone that works there is SO friendly and happy and their hummus is amazing! Everything there is vegan and made with all natural ingredients so I have to worry! Do yourself a favor and get the Spicy Chipotle hummus and their lemon herb pita chips!!

Dahlia S.

Yelp
Bottom line at the top: this farmers market is pretty good for the prepared foods but I wasn't too impressed with the actual produce. Still a cute market though! -- Oscar de la renta, Chloe, joes, and all the other stores along melrose place all shut down once a week for this market to happen. Closer to the fig and olive end you'll find fruit and veggie produce which is just ok, and as you get farther down you'll find honey, nuts, cage free eggs, a middle eastern stall, pressed juices, free range LA (undeniably the best part about this market) and a clothing trailer. Cute experience for sure but I wouldn't go back for anything besides free range :)

Yelp
Somewhere in T.V. land is a mythical parody of this little strip of Magical land. We have some strange streets in W. Hollywood. Long ago, this little street which runs from Melrose Ave. to La Cienega a block long on one side and three on the other was known for high priced antiques and art gallery's. Still is but now there are trendy clothes stores also. Approaching Melrose Pl. from La Cienega the first thing you might see is the "Melrose Place Cafe", truly a hole in the wall but very nice like everything here. Never ate there but it's only been there a couple of years and they tell me it's got new owners already as of a couple of months ago. It has an Italian type fare, got to try it but last time I was here, had my heart set on a piece of Pizza from "Vito's", up the st.on La Cienega and today wanted to try some st. fare. http://www.yelp.com/biz/melrose-place-cafe-los-angeles#hrid:7UVr240ee_NhmVe8xn8ePQ It's Sunday and they have their little farmers market and st. fair, every Sunday, used to take up the entire block but now as you can see it's smaller. Fun place, some locals some tourists some good eats and such, but kinda pricey. Had a free sample of an orange at the first pic, great far better than the markets but not as good as my tree, also had a piece of plum great but not as good as my tree. There was only one st. entertainer today a lady sax player, hey! she was pretty good and playing jazz too, some times there are more entertainers maybe it's late in the season?. I only come here once in awhile like once a year. Don't cook much. Tried a sample of the "Kahala Kitchen". candy um-m good. Moving along, that's Alfred st. cutting in off to the North at the "Smart Fish Co." then Croft st. next. Sunday's a good day for pix of the corners 'cause there isn't so much traffic, like you can wait a long time if ever for a clear shot on other days. So went to the corner of Melrose Pl. and Melrose ave. Then back, the Farmers mkt. used to run along here too; always places renting out and changing hands here the rents must be some thing else.was a little hungry so had decided to try that out door B.B.Q. kitchen "Tropical Islands", tried a "Louisiana sausage", in remembrance of Dave Robicheaux ya know 'the last great book', I read" well maybe not the last but it was good if ya like like detectives in far out places like New Orleans, it's a great series. The sandwich was very good just a little spicy. Lived in the South land for a couple of years and Loved New Orleans. Bye for now, Notes North of the intersection with La Cienega Boulevard is Melrose Place, a branch of the main avenue made famous thanks to the TV show of the same name. However, in actuality, Melrose Place does not feature any residences, but instead is home to a number of high-end boutiques and salons. http://static.px.yelp.com/bphoto/MH3k4fX3ZFroubhbuvdIAw/l La Cienega Design Quarter The area of Melrose Avenue that intersects La Cienega Boulevard, and its satellite streets is part of the La Cienega Design Quarter. Its shops and galleries house many antiques, furniture, rugs, accessories and art. from Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melrose_Avenue Never saw the show. I'm more into, to paraphrase B. Dillion, "-don't let others get your kicks for you" or "Live Life"! http://static3.px.yelp.com/photo/IJYqC3d5jBlwnlkzv93NNw/l http://www.yelp.com/biz/3-melrose-place-west-hollywood#hrid:O2fg1UzmZZnCMuNcy_StEA

Yelp
this review is comparing the melrose farmers market to the beverly hills farmers market. I love the beverly hills farmers market! The MP farmers market is much smaller than BH's. Instead of having several vendors selling strawberries, you have 1 or 2. Not necessarily a negative, especially considering that the prices at the MP farmers market are cheaper than the beverly hills FM. I did think that the BH farmers market offered more in terms of unique items. We found this great flatbread and dip at the BH farmers market, but didnt really have as much luck with that type of thing at MP. parking is also an issue, as there is no designated parking. I do like that this farmers market is open until 2pm on sundays! Sometimes i feel like i have to rush to beverly hills to get there before it closes at noon, so this provides a later-day activity that I would definitely go to again!
