Tony rested on the beach after crashing on his ATV, had beer, and ate at a restaurant called Mar Azul (which I could not find on the map). They had cazuela, which is a fish chowder made with lobster, fish, shrimp, clams, and conch.

Nice place to sunbath. If you fancy to have fish for lunch there are good fresh fish options at the bungalows. Try to avoid drink water they offer. Go for beer or soda instead.

It's a nice and not very crowded place, ideal for a day trip (just 45 minutes from Riohacha). The water is warm and the beach is mostly clean.

Beautiful Caribbean beach with warm, blue water. Fairly calm. The people are really nice, you'll most likely get waived into the group of pavilions, go for it. You'll get a place to park and have a table ready when you're in for some fish. Nice hiking along the beach if you like that stuff. I went offroading on some dirt roads by the salt flats—awesome! Well worth the trip from Cartagena. Support Wayúu enterprise and come here! Oh yeah, weekdays are much calmer.
