Mayan Secret Spa

Thank you to all the Spa team. What an amazing experience you gave me and your efforts to get me booked for both a massage and a facial. The treatment prices were very reasonable and I felt well taken care of. Special thanks to Laura who stayed late to give a massage. Highly recommend this spa experience.

The massage itself was good. The masseuse was kind and professional. With that being said, we got a $50 spa credit with our hotel booking. The spa ended up not honoring the $50 because the massage must be 50 minutes or longer, and the massage we booked was only 45 minutes. I wish we would have been informed of this prior to booking, as we obviously would have preferred a longer massage for a cheaper price. There was also a miscommunication regarding arrival time. This may have been a language barrier, but it created some confusion upon arrival.

So much more than just a massage, this is a full fledged paradise relax. I couldn't have been happier with my experience in this beautiful place. First off, Alicia is super helpful, incredibly nice and an amazing therapist. She took the time to explain how everything worked and showed me the facilities. The place is so beautiful and you can see the Mayan influences. It almost feels like a zen Maya Museum. Before the actual massage I had the sauna experience and a great shower. The place is all about details that make you feel so special. And then the massage, medium strong, just as I like it and on top with some surprise elements at the begining and at the end ( i am deliberately not sharing more details). I loved the fact that Alicia was interested if the pressure was ok, if temperature was fine and if i needed anything. Once the massage was over, I was offered a freshly squeezed orange juice and there is a relaxing area to enjoy that. I left the place flying and feeling as light as a feather. I cannot think of a better present offer for the dear people in our lives who deserve to relax and enjoy a 5 star experience. I want to go back already☺. Ps: pictures speak for themselves; no need for anything extra as they provide shoes, towels, lockers, absolutely everything needed to just be carefree and relax.

One of the most disappointing experiences ever! After a stressful week at work I thought i’d book myself an appointment here only to find out that upon arrival my appointment was not only canceled but my money was also non refundable! Highly dissatisfied would not recommend!

It is so peaceful in the spa. We were alone in the entire spa and were able to take advantage of the hot sauna and cold shower before our massages. Definitely the best spa experience I´ve been to in Barcelona.

Amazing experience! Calm and relax.... great facial and massage with my husband. Staff is very kind and profesional and the spa is really beautiful: material quality, cleanliness, rigorous COVID protocol... I really recommend It and I will come back for sure.

Tourist trap don't trust the place! When I made the appointment, I asked for a massage, and the representative told me it was a combined massage with peeling. The representative told me that the massage would be at 5 pm and to come at 4:30 pm to complete the preliminary treatment. When I arrived at 16:30 I was told that I was late for the treatment and therefore only the peeling would be performed. When I insisted and said that I remember she wrote down that time in the note and asked in advance what time to arrive, they excused themselves and told me that there was no problem, I just had to hurry because there were other customers. I immediately went to change clothes, and then I stood and waited for the therapist Alba/Alva . It took her a while to arrive. Even when I went to reception to find out, he sent me back to stand at the entrance and wait for her. Only the second time I came to the reception again to find her, she answered that she was busy and didn't know I was already ready. Then she took me into the hammam and the colorful shower. After the hammam and the shower, I entered the room together with Alba, and we started the treatment. She put some of the material on my legs and asked me if I should also put it on the chest area, I answered yes. She then wrapped me up, we waited, and then told me to take a shower. I didn't understand why she did only half the body ,according to the treatment she was supposed to do the whole body. It is very important for me to understand that if I said no to the chest area, then the treatment is only on the legs area??? Why didn't she do the back? It is the most important area in body peeling. After taking a shower again, I waited, not understanding what to do, and went outside to wait in the waiting area. She came back and said that she needed to do something and that she realised that I didn't understand her. We entered the same room again, she put oil on me (without massaging), again, only in the leg area, again, she asked about the chest and I answered yes. But there was never a moment when I got a massage. After that, I went out again to the waiting area. She came and asked me what I would like to drink, I asked her if that was the whole treatment, and that's how it ended, and she answered yes. I just left without even drinking what she brought me and went up to my room to figure out what the hell was that. On the same day I came back to speak with someone but nobody was there. I sent an email, but they sent me a general response, very disappointing. Not recommended at all! Despite the response from the spa, I didn't receive any answers as to why the massage was like that or got an answer
