Amazing spot. The sitting area they have in the garden they set up in the parking lot is really nice on a beautiful day. Everything looked so good, I ordered the daily special sandwich with a side of potatoes and it was lovely. The whole staff was friendly and helpful, very peaceful place to relax and catch up with friends while having some great Italian food

Wow what a treasure! Visiting granddaughters in the area and celebrating wife’s birthday. Arrived it’s 1.15p reservations in a Saturday. Promptly greeted and seated like family. Honestly genuine and warm greeting from the staff. Super special vibe! We ordered the Bruschetta appetizer a few glasses of wine and waited on lunch. The service was prompt and the food was cooked and served quickly. Again, the servers and support staff were superb. The food was awesome. I was in the mood for carbonara but did not find it on the menu so I ordered the Penne Porcini and asked for bacon to be added. That turned out fantastic! The other dishes were a hit as well. The lamb shank was fall off the bone and beautifully seasoned. The Penne Primavera was cooked in point and the vegetables and tomato were flavorful. The Fred’s pasta looks like a favorite and was very pleasing. We shared a carrot cake and tiramisu for dessert, had an espresso, decaf Cappuccino and a latte- all on point! Fabulous meal and hope to return soon! Fantastic experience

We stopped at the Cafe to get some Pasta to-go, shortly before they closed!! We got the best pasta I've ever had! Evelyne the Owner invited us to come back the next day to spend dinner there! We came back and had the best time with her and her co-workers! They're all so lovely, welcoming and open-minded! It was such a real, amazing vibe there! The food was sooo delicious! Every time I come here the service is amazing, the food is fresh, the owner is frequently around- soo welcoming, friendly. Feels like eating at someone’s home. The employees are sweet, and I can tell they’re treated well. This restaurant was part of a smear campaign because the owner is a welcoming and loving person, there are pride flags all over the entrance. It is a restaurant that exudes loves. Don’t listen to the hateful & fake review, we have been going here for YEARS- see for yourself.

I would add this to your "must stop here" places to eat. There are many options to choose from on their menu. I ordered the Frisee, Radicchio & Arugula with shrimp, and my daughter, who is allergic to gluten, ordered Evie's Sauteed Vegetables with chicken. The food was really good. The servers were very friendly and helpful. Very relaxed atmosphere. We will come back here again when we visit the area again.

Had a lovely experience last night celebrating my birthday. Love the outdoor ambience and music! The Lobster Risotto on special was to die for. We loved the service staff as well. My friend forgot her glasses and the waiter read the menu with her. How nice! Great evening. I’ll be back

I have never chipped my tooth at a restaurant before but I just ate a piece of rock and bit right through it. When I told my waitress, she didn’t even seem surprised and didn’t do anything to make the situation better. I think at the very least she should have called over a manager to apologize to me and let me know how this rock could have been missed when they clean their seafood and how they would improve for the future.

The food and service has consistently been great! There's indoor and outdoor seating. You can never go wrong with one of their pasta dishes. On some weekends they do grill specials or have other events with special food. I love the lemon meringue dessert. It is always a good time at Mauro. The people working there are so friendly and there's just a general positive energy at the restaurant. Also I think they have bottomless mimosas for $24! And they have parking which is such a plus and dog friendly. Works both for solo dining or going with a group.

Very bad brunch experience. The brunch tasted like someone who doesn't know how to cook. The potato was tasted like it was boiled in the water, the sausage was very bad quality, tasteless, very small, tiny, very disappointing the whole dish. There was almost no sausage as you can see in the picture. The scrambled egg was very bland, no taste at all. However, the service was good. Note: The owner replied and saying my review is fake while I dined there and took a picture of dishes.. she says my comment was wrong and fake I paid for nothing, there was almost no sausage in the egg, and potato was very bland and saggy.. that was the truth!!! And now the owner is accusing me, how unprofessional behavior.

This is a fabulous restaurant! The service was great, the ambiance is so charming, and the food was delicious! My husband and I went to brunch with friends and everyone raved about their dish. I tried the three course lunch. I started with an arugula salad topped with fresh Parmesan cheese and a light vinaigrette. So refreshing! My main course was the Spaghetti Aglio Olio. The flavor was divine. Roasted garlic, fresh parsley, chili flakes, so well seasoned, it was perfect! And for my desert I tried the bread pudding. It was unlike any bread pudding I have had. Notes of citrus, not overly sweet, very moist. Everything I ate was so delicious and I'm picky. Especially when it comes to Italian food. Other dishes ordered (which I tried, lol) were the egg and bacon sandwich which came with roasted potatoes - super yummy and a very generous portion - and the carrot cake. OMG, BEST CARROT CAKE EVER!!! Highly recommend this place. And make sure to check out the adorable little market on the inside. Lots of goodies to take home :) Everyone from the servers to the chef to the hostess was so warm and welcoming. Definitely can't wait to go back.

Pretty garbage place. went there and had a tuna sandwich got food poisoning from it. when i called in the next day the rude lady told me im BSing and hung up on me. i recommend anywhere else this place isnt it.

This place is absolutely amazing. Everything is fresh and delicious. The seafood pastas are incredible (all the pastas are). Plenty of vegan options, bottomless mimosas on the weekends. They have events in their parking lot like flea market and BBQs. The waiters are attentive and friendly, dogs are allowed and the outdoor is amazing for a weekend brunch.

Food and service were absolutely awful. This place was great before new owners moved into this spot. There are so many other options on this block don't waste your time on this place. Owner seems like she has a vendetta against anyone who criticizes her business. Stay away at all cost

Super cute spot by melrose with a friendly, attentive wait staff and great indoor and outdoor seating areas. The bread is fire and the pink penne was good, liked the clams as well. The hosts gave us some great advice about parking for our nearby show, as well. Only thing is there was a 9 year olds birthday party so lots of kids running around, we were like the only ones there not for the birthday party lol so vibe was a bit strange. But not a problem, yummy nonetheless.

Delicious food, amazing staff. I read about this place few months ago when I found out that they stand for peace and humanity. I made it a mission to make sure I came here to enjoy their tasty food, especially the grilled skirt steak. it's a shame that a certain group keeps harassing this wonderful business. I pray that this place flourishes even more!

Bad ambience, the food is very mediocre. Service is not what you'd expect in a location like Beverly Hills. All and all, a bad experience. I would not recommend this place at all.

This little hidden gem was a delight! The atmosphere was very chill and relaxing. Staff are all friendly and adorable. I had the steak sandwich with a side of salad and It was the most delicious thing I've eaten in a while. The sandwich melted in my mouth. Highly recommend. I'll be back.

I love this cafe! The location is very close to Melrose shopping. There is an option to eat inside or outside. I love sitting outside because the weather is so nice for it. I love coming here with my friends for lunch. The service was lovely. I came with a big table one time, and the attention to our table was amazing. I've met the owner, too, and she is very nice and welcoming. Now, the food is really good! I tend to get their pasta, but I have tried a couple of their breakfast items, and they were delicious, as well. I heard on the weekends sometimes there is music at night.

Recently visited LA and found ourselves at Mauro Cafe at the recommendation of some friends. WOW they were right. The food is absolutely divine, fresh, and excellent quality! The staff were just wonderful and the terrace seating was so cute! If you're visiting melrose or west hollywood and are looking for a delicious restaurant that appeals to all ages, this is your spot.

Staff is helpful but the food tasted bland and does not justify the pricing. Highly recommend you go elsewhere.

My partner and I came to eat here for a late lunch and had an amazing time! The owner was such a kind, sweet lady you could tell all of her staff really loves her and that she treats them well. We were welcomed by the host with open arms, they let us choose any seat we wanted so we sat outside. Our waiter was super informative and friendly when giving us a rundown of the menu and specials for the day. We ordered a pasta and steak and both were cooked to perfection! The pasta was so delicious and creamy, one of the best pastas I've had in LA. The steak was well priced and deliciously seasoned. We are already planning our next time back! Thank you to the amazing Mauro team for a wonderful experience!

The food here is very mediocre, and the service is just fair. This is a place that owes everything to its location. It was good once--under its previous owner. Just a big disappointment now.

No frills, consistently good food, and a neighborhood staple. The perfect balance of privacy and seeing familiar faces every time you drop in. Whether you want to chat with the staff, who feel more like family, or stay to yourself at a private table, the choice is yours. The waiters aren't overbearing and give you space to enjoy your time. If you're looking for a fussy spot, Mauro is not for you. My friends and I ate here because it was recommended by a friend. The outdoor ambiance was relaxing, and the waiter was super friendly and attentive. I ordered the seafood pasta, and I was really impressed with the amount of shrimp and clams that came with it. They really don't skimp on the good stuff over here. I thought that the food was a little salty and my friend also said he felt the same way as well. Other than that, I had no complaints and I'd give them another shot. We parked on the street because we didn't know that there was a lot of parking in the back of the restaurant. Save yourself the trouble and don't do what we did.

I was blown away by the gluten free pasta. Ordered the pesto with gluten free pasta because I'm celiac and if I didn't know, I would have thought I got the wrong plate. (It was gf because 7 hours later and I'm not sick). The service was also super attentive, friendly, and had a homey/warm vibe. I'm going to visit this place every trip to LA.

Mauro is an amazing cafe. The food is spectacular and the owner is always warm and friendly. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often. It's a true gift to Los Angeles diners wanting great cuisine in a lovely Europe-like atmosphere. Love it!!

I rate restaurants based on quality of the food, the service experience, and the ambience. I also rate places in comparison to other similar restaurants. This five-star rating is based on other above average brunch/lunch joints. This is definitely a hip spot in West Hollywood and is in our neighborhood. We've been looking to come here for a while and decided to bring our puppies for brunch. One of my kids turned 17 and we wanted to celebrate. The place is hip, the food is ridiculously good, the service was five star compared to any other restaurant in the world, and the ambience was a very cool vibe. My Yorkie turned 17 and we thought it would be a great time to celebrate his birthday by checking this place out for brunch. You'll definitely want to set a reservation if you go on the weekends, and it's in the old Fred Siegel store. I believe it's a Ron Herman now. The prices are really good considering it's West Hollywood, but the vibe was cool, and somehow not as pretentious as you would expect. Everything that we had from the rosé to the beef carpaccio, to the grilled skirt steak was perfectly prepared. I don't remember the last time that we went to a restaurant and I didn't ask for salt and pepper. It probably was a good sign that it wasn't even on the table. High quality, well seasoned food at a very good price. Our server was Joanna and she is awesome. Cannot wait to go back and sit at one of her tables. She gave us great insight as to what was good on the menu and it didn't disappoint. My steak was a perfect medium rare and seasoned well. They're extremely dog-friendly which is always five stars in my book. And they even have treats for the dogs. I'm really excited that this place is in our neighborhood and we will be coming back at least once a month to dig through this menu. I can't express enough how happy I am when food is cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Just a really solid spot to meet for brunch, lunch, and I assume dinner.

Wow. Owner dismissed my review saying it's part of a harassment campaign?! What the? I guess that's how she dismisses mediocre to bad reviews because she has said it over and over again. She can say what she wants but the food WAS MEH and I didn't like sitting in a parking lot.

It's a cute place to meet up with friends. The soup was good, along with the bread. We sat outside, and it was pretty hot. Service was forgetful..had to remind them about my diet coke.

Came here for the first time, and as previous stated in other reviews, the food is not good at all. It is very subpar, but the service is even worse. No one came to check on me to see if everything was OK. I was just left to my own device, I even had to ask for the check. It's pretty much as if I was forgotten about. Definitely not a great first time dining experience.

I gave this place so many chances but every time I was more and more depressed from the flavor and taste. Food has zero flavor and very basic. I would not expect that from a place that charging you that much for food.. and also should be high end. Service was ok.

I've been to mauros for brunch/lunch a couple of times since I live in the area, but it was my first time here for dinner. The service is exceptional and everyone is so friendly and nice. They really do a great job to make sure you're satisfied!! We got the seafood linguine and the vongole and had a small issue with sand from the clams, but they were able to quickly switch it out for us. All the pastas here are delicious! I've had the Fred pasta, which is also really good. Great spot for brunch/lunch/dinner. Highly recommend this place. Love the outdoor dining area and the easy parking too :) Will be back soon!!

Mauro cafe has a wonderful indoor ambiance. Seating is available inside and outside. Staff were warm and welcoming. We enjoyed Fred's pasta and the almond salad with chicken. The portions sizes were perfect. The menu had both brunch and lunch items. I will certainly return to try more of the menu!

The food was exceptional. Chicken sausage scramble. Had to order a side of toast but it was superb. Service was great. Friendly and attentive. The only disappointment, and it was significant, was the seating in the parking lot. They insist on calling it "the garden". Try all you want to spin that but it's parking lot. And it feels like a parking lot. Hot and unpleasant with generic club music overpowering everything. Customers seated there should get 10% discount. However, I DO recommend. I'd go back and hope for legitimate restaurant seating. Like a human. Not a Kia.

As you see below , the owner is respectful and professional in responding to a criticizing review and comes up with an apology on behalf of who works there and a constructive solution. Hope that be followed by all managers and owners in the similar situations.

Been here like 5-6 times and it never disappoints. The service is amazing & staff is attentive. Even the owner is there and talks with us whenever we go. And of course, the Food is always on point. The music whether it's weekend brunch or dinner adds to the ambiance. Definitely my go to spot when I'm in that part of LA.

The food was healthy and delicious! The owner and the staff were so kind and in Los Angeles unfortunately that is not the norm. I highly recommend this restaurant because they have vegan, vegetarian options and many others.

Great food and service! It's all you need. The staff is very attentive and friendly, they accommodated our group of 10 people very last min on a Saturday night. We had amazing wine and I had the pesto pasta which isn't on their menu but wow wow wow it was so fresh and delicious.

I've been to many restaurants for over 50 years in Los Angeles. This is an amazing hidden gem. The ambiance, the staff, the quality of food, it's all five stars all the way around. I wish I could give a six bonus star. This was my first time there. I usually go for specials. But my friend who's a regular recommended the chicken parmesan with garlic and olive oil spaghetti. How righty was. This was the most unique and tasty chicken parmesan I have ever had. I'm so glad that I don't live so close because I would probably be there every night. What a wonderful experience.

To be fair I went for breakfast. So this review is based on only the breakfast menu. I don't know what lunch and dinner is like. But the breakfast is underwhelming. The staff all seem frenetic. The dishes are just ok. The breakfast sandwhich was frankly amateur. I dunno. I wouldn't go back for breakfast. You're basically eating in a car park. And the car owners just love showing off their million dollar cars. It's all kinda crass and boring.

My kids and I have been hitting Mauro's for years! When my boys were little, we went often after school to get healthy & yummy snacks - smoothies, veggie plates, pasta with everything fresh. Now - my boys are in their 20s and we all still eat there all the time. Evelyn the owner is great - the whole staff is wonderful. The food is delicious Italian and healthy. Always fresh fish. This was the most perfect find on a Sunday night. Tucked in the middle of Beverly Hills with a parking lot! The bread and olives were perfect, the dessert was delicious and just sweet enough but not too much. The owners came around with lemon meringue, I'm sitting at the table writing this it's so freaking fabulous.
