"South Maui’s only PADI Five Star dive center, Maui Dreams offers both shore and boat dives for all experience levels. The shop also encourages environmental responsibility, teaching students how to passively view underwater life in order to protect the ocean. Opt for a shore dive and your instructor will take you to their favorite spots in South Maui, introducing you to creatures, caves, and corals you would never otherwise notice. For something more adventurous, go with one of the boat dives, which take place at popular sites like Molokini Crater, the Carthaginian wreck, the Cathedral lava caverns off Lanai, and more. If you’re hoping to give back to the island, you can even join one of Maui Dream’s Project Aware clean-up dives or contribute to the shop’s donations to the Maui Reef Fund."

I had a wonderful and fun first time diving with Kerri. The safety briefing and lesson were very informative and clear which helped raise my confidence and overcome my nervousness. Kerri was very calm and a great teacher. So I was pleasantly surprised that with his help I was able to push through and complete both dives. After the first dive he also helped adjust my equipment for a more comfortable second dive, and then it was one of the most magical things I have ever experienced. I loved how he pointed out so many different kinds of fish and marine animals as we were diving. I plan to do more diving in the future, and I would absolutely come back to Maui Dreams in the future for more diving next time I’m on the island. Thank you, Kerri!

I can’t say enough great things about this place! They were super accommodating pretty last minute with unpredictable winter weather. We completed the open water scuba certification with Kerri and honestly he was fantastic, I don’t think we could have asked for a better instructor! Super knowledgeable, great teacher and a lot of fun! We learned so much and feel prepared to enter the world of scuba. If you’re thinking about taking the open water scuba certification from them, please don’t hesitate! Highly highly highly recommended! Hopefully you’ll get Kerri, he’s a true gem! If he is any indication of their instructors though, you’ll be in good hands regardless!

My husband and I had THE BEST dive master for our 2 shore dives. Chris was super informative, energetic and patient. Safety was a top priority, as was enjoying LONG wonderful dives! He pointed out so many cool things and on our surface interval he showed us in a fish guide what we had seen and what to look out for on the next dive. He was fantastic. At the shop our experience getting set up with gear was awesome as well, everyone was friendly and helpful!!! Would love to dive with Maui Dreams again!

Excellent staff! Good communication via email ahead of time. They had nice rental gear all setup and waiting for us when we arrived. We are certified but not that experienced so we chose a guided shore dive. Chance did a good review and gear check. He kept checking in with us during the dive and pointed out things to see. In between the dives, he had a couple of references and showed us some fish specific to this area. We can’t wait to try more dives with them. Highly recommend!

We booked a 2 tank shore dive with scooters! Amazing experience. First time on scooters so my wife and I didn’t really know what to expect. Surprisingly they are very easy to operate. It helps that we had a great instructor/guide: Curly! You actually ride them as opposed to holding them. Allowed me to shoot a video with my free hands. (Please ignore the dangling octo on wife’s rig, we had trouble with her magnet holding with the higher speeds). With the scooters, we were able to dive the St Anthony wreck on our second dive because we could cover the distance with the scooters. Great experience, great dive outfitter, great guide Curly. Thank you!

My husband did two dives from the shore with Maui Dreams Dive. The two other persons who were supposed to dive with him and the instructor canceled at the last minute and therefore he had a private instructor. He has a wonderful time! Since he had not dove in a while, he got a quick but thorough refresher and then enjoyed the water. He saw so many marine creatures including turtles and an octopus. He loved it and almost booked another dive but our trip ended too soon for that to happen. Highly recommend!

My family and I did a Sunday Early Bird shore dive with Maui Dreams and Joel our dive master. It was such an amazing experience. The process was so well organized from communications with the shop, to getting fitted for rental gear, to showing up at the site and having everything ready for us. With varying levels of anxiety, Makena Landing was the perfect spot for us. We are all recently certified divers having previously only dove in fresh water, and Joel was so patient and explained everything and even gave us pointers to enhance our skills. My daughter had an issue with her ear pressure and he handled it during the dive without having to abort and we were able to continue! He gave my husband some valuable help with air consumption. For a beginner experience, I highly recommend them!
