Tucked secretly inside the Tasman Luxury Hotel, Mary Mary is a shhhhhh secret spot with speakeasy vibes. The ambiance is rustic charm with dim lighting and cozy nooks. It offers a mix of small plates. Their pizza fritta is a revelation — light, airy, and perfectly crisp. The scallops were impressive, seared to perfection and paired with a delicate sauce that complemented without overpowering also served in a shell. The ensalada offered a refreshing contrast. Crunch and lovable. Service was attentive but unobtrusive. Drinks were great.

My partner and I had an awesome night, everything down to the drinks, service and vibe were immaculate. Jenny especially made our evening special, and gave us plenty of recommendations for local bars and restaurants! We’ll definitely be back over the next couple of days!

Incredible tucked away spot for a couple quiet after dinner romantic drinks. The service was excellent. Willing to do a bit of a Hellyer’s Road whiskey tasting before I settled on one. Will definitely be back.

Mary Mary is a wonderful hidden bar. The decor and atmosphere is beautiful, and the staff are attentive without being overbearing. Even though the bar was busy when we arrived, it was not too loud and I could still have a conversation without yelling. There was a large range of cocktails to choose from, on top of an extensive wine and spirit list. I had two cocktails, both unique and delicious. Next time I’m in Hobart I’ll be coming back!

Lovely small bar with a modern fit-out inside the old St Mary's Hospital. Staff were excellent and helpful, with great knowledge of local whiskeys. Extensive spirits selection and cocktail options. Only issue was the 15% Sunday surcharge added to the bill at the end which was not initially communicated.

Excellent whisky selection, specially Japanese, the Cocktails are great and the bar food is also great. The venue is beautiful, cozy and stylish, service was excellent

This place is fantastic if you want a couple of cocktails before dinner. It is nice and relaxing with great staff. The big thing to watch is they put a credit card surcharge of close to 2% on your bill unless you ask them to remove it and pay pay by eftpos. Watch your bill!
