"Blow-your-mind fun for the whole family Sleight of hand, mind-reading, astonishing tricks, and comedy— master magician, mentalist, and comic Jay Alexander does it all four nights a week near Union Square. It was a trunk in Alexander's grandparents' attic that launched his magical curiosity, and at the age of 14, he was the youngest recipient of the Society of American Magicians Gold Medal of Honor. Alexander has entertained audiences on the Today Show and Good Morning America , and given special performances for U2 frontman Bono and the late Bay Area comedian, Robin Williams. Good clean fun for the whole family (though children under eight are probably not the ideal audience), the show leaves you mezmerized and wondering “How did he do that?!” Come see if you can figure it out. We had a fabulous time at the Marrakech magic show! From sleight of hand card tricks to remarkable displays of mentalism, Jay Alexander impressed the crowd with his showmanship. Even if you think you can figure out how it all works, the performance makes for a delightful and entertaining evening. It’s very special to see someone so passionate about his craft sharing it with a small audience in such an intimate setting – and to get to participate in so many of the acts firsthand! This was a great date night spot (pre-show drinks and Moroccan food at the venue were also surprisingly nice) and was also fun for the families there as well. Thanks, Jay!

11/1/2024 What a fantastic show with Jay Alexander! I have and will continue to recommend to friends and family. Jay welcomed the guest in the lounge first and then led us all into the theatre to assist with our seating. He was both very witty and charming and an amazing mentalist. We were very disappointed with the quality of the drinks that preceded the show. They were watered down and lacked flavor. The portion of the hummus, although delicious, was quite skimpy for three people.

Absolutely outstanding show! Jay is an absolute showman! His delivery, his magic, and his personality were all top notch. We saw him on the last night of our vacation and we luckily saved the best until last! I would absolutely recommend this show to anyone! The food was so so but the entertainment was the main attraction and didn’t fail. Next time we visit San Francisco we will see the show again!!

First time to a magic show, and unfortunately, the bar was set too high by magician Jay Alexander. He worked great with the crowd, very inclusive and respectful of those who didn't want to participate. I wasn't a fan or had any general interest in a magic show until today. Jay Alexander at The Marrakech Theater in San Francisco is one of the best shows we’ve seen! Absolutely blew our minds! My two 16 year old boys loved it saying it was the best part of our trip. With the hockey game a very close second! Would definitely recommend. Dinner in the Marrakech restaurant with the belly dancer before the show is definitely worth it! Makes for a great family night out!

Our experience couldn’t have been better. Jay was SO much more than a magician, he is a mathematician, a psychologist, a comedian and an illusionist. He interacted with our family from beginning to end and really an amazing job including the very intimate audience into each act. I think his personal life journey was weaved throughout the night beautifully and was SO inspiring to listen to. I would go again and would absolutely recommend to anyone who loves fun, laughter and mind blowing entertainment!

We had six people attend the new Seance Show last night and it was so much better than I could have possibly imagined. The theater is located in an awesome old speak-easy kind of place, under a large restaurant, and is very uniquely designed. I think I'm the same age as Jay, and when he invoked the name "Doug Henning" and spoke about some of things that were instrumental is his development as a young magician, it felt very real an intimate. The things he does are absolutely mind-blowing and during the course of the show, he involved everybody in the theater. We felt like a graduating class at the end as everyone left the theater, excitedly chatting about we had just witnessed. One woman "confronted" Jay after the show with one of the prop-books used in a trick, certain she had figured things out. Jay simply smiled and reminded her that she controlled the selections and that the magic did the rest. What a great show that totally exceeded our expectations!

I recently visited Jay Alexander's Marrakech Magic Theater with my wife, father, and son, and we all had an incredible time! From start to finish, we were mesmerized and thoroughly entertained. I even got the chance to go on stage, and I still can't figure out how Jay knew what he knew—it was mind-blowing! The atmosphere was intimate and fun, making the whole experience even better. We also had a great meal before the show, which was a perfect start to the evening. Highly recommend for a magical night out!
