Maria is a a food lover’s dream come true. It is our second time in this place and it is a must. Totally worth the hype. Their risotto is a mixture of heaven and sea. So much flavor that you would not wanna share. Their empanadas with aji are meaty and delicious. The chicharrón in an unusual presentation but what a combination of yummy with classy. Make a reservation online. They are always full and walk ins are unlikely.

I went with 3 friends to dinner at the recommendation of a friend who lives in Cartagena. The food is excellent. The service is very good. Very elaborate dishes. Booking is recommended because it is usually very crowded. The wines are expensive, as anywhere in Colombia. of the same owners as the restaurant next door, Donjuán Cartagena.

I had a lovely meal here. The food was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. I recommend the lobster as that was definitely my favourite! My favourite part of the place was the decor. Very beautiful. The paintings on the wall were done by a Colombian artist who is based in Bogotá (where the chef is from). The empeñadas were also fantastic.

Having a reservation is recommended! As a starter a bread basket is served, which was delicious. We ordered empanadas as an appetizer and they were also delicious. We also had the grilled fish with orzo, the fish was great, but the orzo lacked flavor.

I came here for my anniversary as I was searching for something with good drinks and great food. FYI: don’t come here without a reservation unless you come really late like 21:30 or later. When we entered, we were greeted immediately and seated at our reserved table. For the guests that do not speak English, they do have menus in English. That being said, a lot of the clientele are US Americans, meaning they cater to their eat and run concept. The fact that US Americans do not savor their meals and rush eat, could be seen in the way the staff was trained. At the end, we had to ask the staff to please give us the rest of our wine as we already finished our meal and we’re sitting for about 20 minutes waiting patiently hoping someone would notice us. Finally one staff member told the other that they should ask us if we needed anything. As we come from Europe and enjoy fine dining and enjoy savoring our meal, we did not mind the staff ignoring us due to being so busy with other customers. If you are searching for a quiet fine dining experience, do not come here. It was so loud due to all the US Americans screaming and also the loud music that did not help the setting much. The bar has a great selection of alcohol, but the cocktail menu was of less variety. Some of the food we ordered seemed premade and reheated, but I guess that is expected if they want a high turnover due to he fast service and catering to the US American style of rush eating and leaving. At the end, we were surprised as they brought us complimentary dessert to commemorate our anniversary after we already ordered and ate dessert. All in all, the food was delicious, but definitely different than what I was expecting. It is not fine dining as one would expect from the photos, but more like upper class mass dining as they only had one burger on the menu to cater to unrefined taste and the food that was served was already premade and reheated.
