"Mole Creek Karst National Park, along with the surrounding Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, offers subterranean streams and pools, plus at least 300 caves. At Marakoopa Cave, you’ll feel as though you’re in mother nature’s planetarium—the walls are lit up by Australia’s largest colony of glowworms. Caves like Honeycomb and Westmorland are best explored during a half- or full-day trip with Deb from Wild Cave Tours. Unlike most guides, she holds a PhD in speleology. But if one day is not enough, make it a wild caving weekend to progress from walking and wading to scrambling and squeezing through tight crevices. Local beer and wine await you at Mole Creek Guesthouse."

We did the cathedral walk. The guide.... she's simply amazing! Full of energies, humorous and bubbly. She simply loves her job and made everyone happy! This is a worthwhile walk to do, and if time permits, I'll do the other walks too. This cave system was very well preserve and I hope they continue the good preservation works.

An incredible experience inside these caves. Guided tour with a really knowledgable guide who gave us lots of great facts. The entire tour took 45 mins. Suitable for all ages- we had a 5 year old with us. It gets cold down there so jumpers and jackets are recommended. Buy tickets at the visitor information centre then either take a 10 min walk up to the caves or drive up to the car park where there’s space for about 10 cars.

Loved the cave! We had a fantastic cave guide who was exciting to listen to and was able to answer our group’s many questions. The cave was a really neat juxtaposition to the Hastings Cave, with this one having rivers flowing through it and with ancient river stones embedded in the ceiling. The glow worms were beautiful.

We did the Cathedral tour at 1pm. Our guide John was an amazing guide, very passionate and authentic. The cave is incredible - I really recommend going if you're in the area! You can also see glow worms on top of many stunning formations.

Yelp
I'm generally cool on cave tours, having taken so many growing up and deciding they're all generally the same stalactites, stalagmites, and pretending they have the most unique formations. This one was different. To prove it, you walk uphill into the cave instead of downhill. (Those crazy upside-down Australians. Just kidding.) The unique feature of this cave, and I hope this isn't a spoiler, is the glow worm room. To avoid further spoilage I won't tell you more, but it's definitely a must-see and unforgettable.
