"Many traditional Mexican pastries like the Concha and the Oreja can be traced back to French origins, so this pretty Parisian-inspired café makes perfect sense. Here, coffees, Mexican egg breakfasts, and perfect pastries are served in the airy dining room and outside on a leafy, secluded corner in the Condesa. Besides the bread, the best thing about this place are the old-school pinafores and lacy aprons that the bakers wear. There's a second location in Polanco."
A nice and quite place for a breakfast and pastries. We tried the chilaquiles and eggs with plantain. Both tasted great and the potion size was huge. We also ordered a chocolate concha to share. Staff were helpful and the place was well decorated. However the food was quite overpriced!

Expensive but tasty? Huge variety in the menu which sadly explains very little about what you are actually getting. I ordered an omelette and got a plate of sauce :) Juices and coffee could be cheaper and better at other places closeby.

good mexican brunch. mole is very good and authentic vibe. you will see locals here. dishes were very flavorful but i wish the eggs had more potatoes or some more substance to them as the dish was small for the price. overall, very good. caution if you’re allergic to bee’s - they are around the pastries.

We had a lovely breakfast on a Saturday morning. Luckily we came esrly as crowds started to form around 11 am.
The place looks amazing and even the staff has beautiful outfits on. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and you feel like you could spend hours there.
The menu had great variety of food and drink and pastries.
The croissant I ordered was something like a local version but still fresh and tasty.
Food was actually excellent, and largely mexican or with mexican influences. Coffeedrinks could be improved.

I was told this place has best conchas in town but it ended up tasting pretty mediocre. We also tried few of their other desserts and didn’t find them to be anything special. Seems like an old school place popular among locals who perhaps enjoy things certain way and don’t need anything to be different :) definitely an ok place to skip

Omelette de quitlacoche w manchego:
Oh this was so good!! Quitlacoche is a type of fungus that grows from mushroom and that’s exactly what it tasted like with a little char flavor. There were little crispy flakey things on a bed of tomato sauce and everything combined into a delectable bite! Actually funny thing was I saw someone order this from another table and it looked really interesting (note the elderly always know what to order)
Chicken tinga empanada:
Ah the pastry was so flakey; it kind of reminded me of filo dough. The filling was a delicious blend of chicken, tomatoes, and a little bit of onion. Love the salad and the dressing.
Peach pastry? Part of pan Dulce offering:
This was ok. The pastry was dry and the peach jam a little too sweet. Weird I don’t see peach or durazno on the menu.

We have eaten at 2 locations in 5 days. Both were superb. The corn muffins were warm from the oven and melt in your mouth. The chilequilles Verdes could not be better! I can't wait to return to Mexico City and eat here again! We also had the vegetarian inlet, Italian omelette, and molletes. All very good.

It’s fine. Well the coffee was ok which for Mexico City is disappointing. The breakfast dishes were again fine but nothing memorable. Maybe other dishes were better.
The location and ample seating are in its favor. Sitting outside on a beautiful January morning was the best.
