Mangia

Mangia was recommended to me by a local shop owner. He said it was the best Italian in Copenhagen. He didn't lie. I had the tortellini with ricotta & spinach. The most perfect balance of flavors you can imagine. Absolute perfection! I was 3/4 finished with the dish and was still saying aloud, "Wow!" It is that good. My friend was awed as well (don't remember what she had as I was so into my dish). The wine list is extensive, service is attentive yet not bothersome. A must go on any list & judging from the full restaurant, the locals know great Italian too. Dessert, and I'm not a dessert person, was delectable. I've had great Italian food in Italy & this is still a standout.

Love the vibe of the restaurant. Staff are professional and nice. Food is incredible and love their pasta!!!! The appetizers are 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻worth to try!

Delicious food. Could eat a double portion of the pasta filled with meat in sauce! Only minus were the small portion. Service was great as well.

Very busy restaurant and a bit noisy Staffs are very friendly & cheerful, always try to take care customer Food — love their bread and can’t tell how yummy it is as skin a little bit crispy but inside is very soft Starter — ok. Both are normal Main course — seafood pasta are good and cod fish very smooth too. Dessert — tiramisu Must try and orange cheese honey special way to cook not my choice BUT, I wish their menu should cover others meat as it is almost everything is beef, so it would be hard for me while I don’t eat beef as only 2 choice I can selected. Recommend !!! Don’t forget to book in advance

Not impressed at all, waited for 1h and 10minutes for the food. Had a small apetizer as well. The apetizer was really disappointing and boring (dry bread with prosciutto). The main course was gone in 2 minutes due to the small portion. Taste was okay but compared to all other dining experiences in Copenhagen it was absolutely not worth it. Left the place still hungry.

We had a nice evening, but it was packed and the service was very slow (we waited 30min just to order). The food was amazing! Price as always in Copenhague, waaaay too high though.

Love this place! High quality! Simple and exquisite food. Lovely atmosphere; crowded with people enjoying a great dinner, warm and attentive staff. Good wines.

Was given the wrong appetiser and even got blamed that it was what we ordered. Then they realized their mistake, no apology. Everyone was getting a small amuse bouche so we asked (after 20 mins) they then served it to us. After that we waited an hour for our pasta to arrive. The portions were tiny. Staff not very interested. Nice ambiance and fashionable clientele though.

After all the new-Nordic gastronomy, I was aching for a hearty, belly-filling meal. Mangia supplied exactly that, effortlessly, in a mid-sized comfortable space (my diet is largely new-American/Mediterranean, with fresh produce, butcher-cut meats, and no canned foods). The langoustine in a creamy chick-pea cream was buttery and the 3-meat filled plin pasta was satisfying. At least 25 mostly-Italian white, red, and rose wines were offered by the glass and the sommelier skillfully guided me through the many choices. Price was reasonable at 910 Kroner, including tip, for two people, two appetizers, two pasta mains and a total of 3 drinks. [end]

On first glance over the menu, I wasn't sure what to think because they only had one vegetarian option I could order, and I'm not usually a fan of ravioli, especially with white sauce. But theirs was incredible (can't remember the exact name of the dish)! They know how to make great Italian food!
