MAMBO ITALIA LAVINGTON

I had my senses well and truly tickled by the desserts here. They were that good! I especially recommend the orange and almond cake as well as the fudge brownie (served a la mode). Absolutely delectable! The restaurant is on the 2nd floor and you can choose to sit on the terrace or indoors , where you still have an almost panoramic view of the city (including the parking lot downstairs). The decor makes for great instagram-friendly shots and the exposed wooden beams and lampshade pendant lighting in the bar give a unique feel to the space. Good food, good service, good decor. 👍🏿

I had a lovely time at Mambo Italia where Nairobi meets Italy with it's good food and drink options. You've got a choice of making your own pizza as well. There's ample space for kids to play as well so it's good for a nice family hangout. The service was quick and tailored, you can get food recommended your way. I would recommend the ice-cream with a brownie. It's a bit breezy in the evening so a sweater would be good.

Amazing place with a beautiful rooftop view of the usual Nairobi traffic madness! They have a kid’s play arcade on the rooftop (yea i know crazy) but perfectly safe. They have craft beer that comes with long intimidating glasses but we’ll still drink!! Pretty chilled out less noise & more fun.

We visited this place on Saturday during Easter holiday and I was pleasantly surprised how empty it was for the superb food and service they provide. We ordered BBQ Pork Ribs and Fillet Steak for the main course, and a few drinks: Passion Margarita (for my gf) and the Amarena Jack for me. Both food and drinks were amazing. So I highly recommend this place! We will definitely be back. BTW, passion margarita was served with sugar instead of salt, which my gf liked a lot. PS. I would probably try their pizza next time (for being an Italian restaurant.)

One of the best places for Italian 🍕. True value for money. Been a customer for over the years now. Has kids playing section fit for those with families.

Loved the experience here. Their food was amazing. We had the bbq pork pizza and the grilled lamb. They were amazing. Then we had a complementary tiramisu for dessert. It was amazing. Would definitely go back for their tiramisu and pizza.

You can't go wrong by choosing this restaurant if your plan is to simply relax, meet friends and enjoy a good meal. I have been here several times and never been disappointed. However, parking during peak hours can be a pain. Food quality: 5/5 Service quality: 5/5 Location: 5/5. Mambo Italia- Lavington, once a promising dining option, has been consistently disappointing in recent visits. A lunch visit on November 25th, 2024 revealed a menu with half the items unavailable. While the fish I ordered was passable, my companion's ravioli was subpar at best. Again, on November 20th, I called to reserve a table and was told the kitchen closed at 9:30 PM. Despite arriving at 9:15 PM, I was informed the chef had already left, contradicting the earlier statement. The final straw came on December 3rd when a friend convinced me to give Mambo Italia another chance. We arrived at 8:50 PM, well within their listed closing time of 9:30 PM, only to be told yet again that the kitchen was closed. Pointing out the clearly posted hours made no difference. In an economy where customer loyalty is hard-earned, it’s baffling that Mambo Italia seems intent on turning away business and offering such inconsistent service. Coupled with an unreliable menu, the restaurant’s disregard for its customers is a recipe for disaster. Regrettably, this will be my last visit.
