"Although the restaurant claims it’s “American” (the owner is from San Francisco), local Greeksare laying claim on this all-day hangout. Breakfasts and brunches—creamy Greek yogurt and pancakes—start the day, then around lunch, diners switch over to cheeseburgers and fries, Tandoori chicken, perfect Middle Eastern falafel, and even a couple of Thai dishes. The eclecticismmagically works, as ingredients used are crazy-fresh and the atmosphere is low-key and friendly. The team of chefs is as international and colorful as the menu (and as the ceiling, too, which is decorated with multicolored umbrellas), and Mama Roux lies on a pedestrian-only street, which helps, too. As night falls, you may as well stay for dinner, and try the excellent beers on tap."

Amazing brunch and warm environment. The place is in the middle of historic Athens city Center 15 minutes away from Acropolis music. A lot to choose for food. Eggs, pancakes, burgers are all good. The cousin is inspired by New Orleans but with somewhat of a Greek twist. Drinks are good. Very refreshing cocktails and smoothes. A lot of events are going on there. Today I 'll enjoy a jazz band and enjoying my eggs. Yes that is life.

A cosy place with very attentive staff. The salmon souvlaki was great and the spicy noodle salad (keep in mind, it's cold) was interesting. The prices are higher than average in Athens.

By far, the best burgers in town!!! we ordered the 50/50 burger with yellow donkey beer and the goat cheese burger paired with a house red wine. Both burgers were moist a s juicy and cooked to perfection. The dressing is flavorful but not overpowering. The fries were soft and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Great atmosphere, open late, has strong wifi, clean washrooms and within walking distance of omonia square.

Huge portions! The omelet with smoked salmon and cream cheese was yummy and eggs benedict as well. The food is very fat so if your tummy is sensitive keep that in mind. Mama Roux serves mostly North American and Mexican food and if you’re looking for a healthy option you’d better choose another cafe. If you are going to have breakfast during the weekend make sure you make a reservation otherwise the tables will be occupied.

Great cafe for breakfast. Wifi is fast and reliable for those wanting to bring their laptops and get a little work done. Plenty of power outlets inside. In the evening you can go there and enjoy a few tall beers. Overall a nice establishment with a great location. Just minutes from Monastriaki.
