Best place around! This place has great gear. They also run the best surf camp in the summer for kids! The owners are top notch people.

I was visiting from new york to enjoy surfing. I asked the stuff honestly if the area is good for beginners. They cheated and gave me 2 boards for me and my Friend convinced us that the area is sandy and clear. I carried the board 15 min walking 2 ways then i found the waves were too high and the soil was too rocky. I returned back to get my money back and he refused to give my money back and he was really passive aggressive. Not recommended at all.

My absolute favorite spot to take visiting friends and family. Jump on a kayak and enjoy a relaxing morning along the coast. Their sit-on-top style kayaks are perfect for beginners. The staff here is full of incredibly helpful and kind people. They are kind enough to jump in the water to help make your launch and return experiences as smooth as possible. I had a fabulous time here. Very good customer service. This was my first surfing experience and I can't wait to go back. My instructor was Hunter. He was very helpful and he trained me well on how to surf. I actually learned how to surf on my first surfing lesson.

I had a great experience renting a paddleboard here. I've had a lot of experience on boards on the east coast, so I was a bit picky, and the owner, his wife, their son, and the whole crew were extremely friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. And they were bustin' loose busy, so even more impressive they were willing to put up with my special requests. The rental rate was extremely fair, and the location is amazing right by the pier. I'm definitely going back but next time I'm hoping to buy a board and get some advanced lessons.

I work as an LA Lifeguard, live in venice but love to come up and surf and hang on my days off. I am always looking at ways to support local businesses. I called to rent a couple kayaks for the day and asked a few questions and the employee who answered the phone was super rude and actually said he had another call and said he would call me back. Super weird way to communicate with a customer. I understand they typically hire very young inexperienced kids to work the shop but they should hire and train better and appreciate customers. Hope you don’t have this poor experience.
