A butcher that sells biltong, a salted dried meat. Afrikaner paraphernalia hangs in the shop, which bothered Tony. For restaurant, you can go to the meat counter and order cuts of meat with "monkey gland sauce" on the side (barbecue sauce).

The sausage rolls these guys make are brilliant, the meat in the butchery is great quality as well. The only problem i have with them is that the cashiers are EXTREMELY impatient and they are not the friendliest. Was there recently and while I was waiting in line wanting to get a juice I got rushed by the cashier to come and pay, not that anyone was behind us in the line but she rushed us to come and pay. Again great pies and meat that the have.

Absolutely one of the best butchery experiences you will ever have in your life. Museum and butchery in one and you dont even have to pay to go in! The owner has a stunning collection of history in display to see while you queue for their famous pies and superb meat. There are old tractors, cars, stoves, cameras, typing machines, sewing machines, lamps and all sorts of historic contraptions on display along with historic flags and signs. As it is a museum the flags on display are to showcase our rich history. The pies are simply the best. period. The meat quality is excellent and well priced. This place is worth the drive from anywhere in Gauteng as an outing to stock up on meat. It can get busy so go early.

Maders pies, especially the sausage rolls are the BEST EVER!! Such various collections of model cars, bikes, trucks, trains, busses, planes, helicopters, and SO much more!! So many different antiques & collectables. Brings back special memories from when I was a child. People are always friendly!! It's also a full Butchery, come get fresh, clean good quality meat, sausages, biltong, droëwors. Maders Pies are the BEST!!

What a place to visit. A real place of history. A real boere and peaceful atmosphere. Like a farming ivironment in the centre of Pretoria. It is a place that must be visited especially if you have never been there yet. I have never seen such a great private collection of house and farming equipment from the past and much much more. The bakery bakes the best pies, biscuits and many more that I have ever tasted. The butchery sells the best meat that you can wish for at the best prices. And then you can also have a wonderful meal 'to die' for at the restaurant. ATM's available inside the restaurant and butchery. A butchery and restaurant that must be visited. Enjoy your visit.
