The fish is cooked to perfection and the succulent side dishes are paired with sauces that err towards the classical in a bid to enhance and showcase the main ingredient. To be honest, I didn’t expect such an exquisite dining experience in Luxembourg. On the same day, my partner asked me to go to this restaurant, and I thought he would take me to an average place since I had yet to find any remarkable restaurants in Luxembourg! So, my expectations were quite low. I didn’t realize this restaurant had two Michelin stars until I saw the sign at the entrance. We had an eight-course meal with fine wine. It’s a shame I only took one picture! Each dish was sophisticated, and it had been a while since I enjoyed each course with such delight. It was an amazing experience!

This is how I felt. This place is an exercise at excellence and in many ways it achieves and delivers that. Service is overall excellent, but I felt it was rarely personal, which you could expect at this level in a small room, and in my case there were also small slips you would not expect in a two star place, like where a cheese comes from or why red is or isn’t the de facto pairing with cheese, duh. The food delights, but to me there was a bit too much sophistication that at some point stops to elevate the dishes…like with three distinct herb sauces seasoning one of the starters, fantastic but for my simple palate and fork, too much. My last impression is that for something that costs a multiple of any really nice restaurant, some of the magic is missing. We entered a minutely organised choreography but looking around I just did not feel it. I attribute this to where the place is located too… It is just me, but hey all the hard work behind such a place still deserves at least a 4…and we did enjoy our night in fairness.

The food was very good, but not better than the 1 star Michelin we tried before. Very nice presentation and very warm service. Knowledgeable sommelier which helped enhance the culinary experience. Lovely desserts. But, like I said, something was missing to really make it a 2 stars experience.

Exceptional kitchen in terms of creativity and technique. Atmosphere is overall good with very warm decoration and present at the end but the restaurant's place is overall a bit tiny. I only wish the menu would change more often. Excellent wine choice including local references.
