Visited on a Sunday during happy hour, and what a great experience it was! The service was outstanding, and the food was equally impressive. Shelby was hands down one of the best waitresses we’ve ever had — attentive, friendly, and made our happy hour that much better. We always choose the small outdoor side patio—it does the job perfectly, offering a cozy spot to enjoy the experience. Don’t miss the oysters and calamari — both are absolutely delicious and a must during happy hour. We’ll definitely be back for more! Highly recommend stopping by and asking for Shelby if you can. Honestly, I've been here a lot since my last review in 2023. Always consistent. My friend and I frequent the Happy Hour that has a great selection of foods and drinks. Service has always been good. We've had Oscar in the bar area, very friendly and attentive. The bar area is nice because it's big, spread out. When we come here for happy hour, I always feel I can sit back and relax and enjoy. The Oysters and Seafood Cevichi are my thing. My friend loves the New England Clam Chowder, Shrimp Cocktail and Shishitos. Last time we were there for dinner and we ordered the Mahi Mahi which was very good. Atmosphere: big interior, bright, great bar area. Service: very good. Food: very good.

I was raving about it after my first visit. So much so, I brought my father in the following weekend. This Family Owned Restaurant offers- A very appealing property, Ambience, Customer Service, Locally Sourced Seafood, Organically Grown Local Produce, Wines from Local Vineyards and Cocktails made with freshly squeezed fruit juices. This was the first time I had ever tried charbroiled oysters.The flavor profile and the melted buttery goodness makes this one satisfying appetizers. Love love love this place. Flavors & portions are fantastic. I shared the pop rock shrimp and had the linguine with clams. Absolutely amazing. Flavors danced in my mouth. Even our non-seafood lover friends come here all the time. Very very clean & fresh. Very hard working & friendly staff. Will definitely be back!!

We ate lunch at Lure once a few years back and while our food was good, our service was so poor I never thought we would return. It is Arizona Restaurant Week and our friends wanted to go so we gave it a try for dinner. My husband and I both chose off the Restaurant Week menu. I had the Autumn Harvest Chopped Salad with butternut squash, brussel sprouts, beets, cucumber, romaine, mesclun, tomatoes, olives, red onion, avocado, pepitas, manchego cheese, pomegranate seeds & jalapeño ranch which was excellent. My husband had the Lure charbroiled oysters, he said they were excellent. Our friends had the clam chowder and the same salad I had. They were both pleased with their choices. For our entrées, I had the seared scallops with mushroom risotto, it was very good but needed s&p, my husband had the pacific Rock fish with the Parmesan cake and sautéed spinach, it was excellent, our friends had the grilled jumbo shrimp which they enjoyed. For dessert, I had the pumpkin cheesecake, my husband had the key lime pie and our friends shared the blueberry cobbler, they were all good. Our service started out strong but then we had to look around and wave over our server to get more drinks then more salad dressing then to go containers and then for the check. What was a negative is the acoustics are so loud you have to repeat yourself or talk really loud to the people at the table. It wasn’t music just the talk of each table it made it hard to enjoy a dinner conversation. We don’t recall that an issue when having lunch. Even though the service was better it still wasn’t great but we would return because of the quality of food, we might just stick with lunch so we can have a conversation.

Good food, punctual service, reasonable prices. This is the second time we've eaten here and enjoyed it as much as the first time. Our server checked up on us frequently and cleared plates as soon as we were finished. Oysters, clam chowder, Pop Rock shrimp, and sea bass were delicious. My only issue would be the restaurant is a bit loud even though it wasn't very crowded when we visited.

I have view places I go to eat. This place, by all standards, is the absolute best! I love the way everything is fresh, deliciously tasteful, and not your average food preparation. Clean eating! I love everything I have ever eaten there! It is a must to eat here. Service is excellent and cocktails are prepared with knowledge, wine list is fantastic! What can I say; this is exactly what eating out should be; going home with a smile on your face and tummy. Thank you! Great raspberry lemonade and the salmon had a nice crust and was cooked perfectly - I like mine a little on the well done side. The potato cake was fried mashed potatoes - that is why some people commented it was mushy on the inside. Dog friendly patio. The mushroom side dish was good also. The only reason no 5 stars is the outdoor heater made annoying clicking sounds and we had to ask for the bread service. Would have been nice to enjoy the bread ahead of dinner.

Always a pleasure coming back to this location. I tried the Branzino and it was wonderful, my husband loved his Seabass sand dab style. Zachariah made sure we had the time to enjoy our night, which was much appreciated. We'll be back soon!

We were looking for a new seafood restaurant for our anniversary dinner. It reminds me of fish restaurants on the east coast. I had the squid ink striped lobster ravioli in a cream sauce with lots of chopped lobster on top. The potion was so large and very rich, no sides came with the dish. My husband had Sally's sand dabs with capers on top (3 large pieces) and two sides- button mushrooms and Veracruz fish chowder which he said had a kick to it. We also had the hot toffee sticky pudding with vanilla ice cream on top & an additional small pitcher of hot toffee sauce. So rich and delicious. Our server was attentive and offered suggestions. We will recommend this place to our friends.

It's a lovely ambience and management but the food is overpriced for the flavor, unfortunately. But just my opinion: Everything tasted somewhat over seasoned and salty. There were broken pieces of shell throughout our seafood dishes that we needed to spit out. I expect some of that cause sometimes you can't always prevent that, but it was way more than an average restaurant. Especially a place that specializes in seafood. Crab cakes are better at other restaurants. I do appreciate that there was a decent amount of clams in the clam chowder! Minimal potatoes, the portioning was good. The servers were slow to fill water and bring out the food but might also be because our server just seemed really fatigued. Overall, there's not a dish I would come back here for but it's a lovely ambience for okay seafood dishes.

My niece came to visit me and the first thing she asked for was seafood!! I found Lure fish house and immediately made a reservation. We arrived on time and were immediately seated. Our server came over quickly and offered to get us water while we chose our drinks. I love this! The whole experience was relaxed and we didn't feel rushed. We ordered drinks and she again, gave us time to pick appetizers. We selected the pop rock shrimp, shrimp cocktail, the mussels and oysters of course! The food came out piping hot and everything was delicious. The bread was warm and the butter was softened (a favorite thing of mine) our server was just amazing. She let us enjoy our apps before coming back to take our orders. I got the Sally's sand dabs. For the price it was a hefty portion! 3 pieces of fish and 2 sides. The lemon caper sauce was delicious and the fish was cooked perfectly. My sister ordered the swordfish and the filet was huge! My niece got the linguine and clams. The sauce was so lemony and light. We were stuffed! Most seafood places all the sides are al la carte and the portions can be tiny. We really got our monies worth. I would come back here time and time again. Great service, delicious food and reasonable prices. An upscale experience everyone can enjoy!

Excellent service m, I love the drinks and the gluten free options are fantastic. It has great acoustics and comfortable seating it feels like a family atmosphere in casual dining. Wait staff is excellent and knowledgeable.

Recently, my friends and I celebrated a birthday dinner here, and it was an incredible experience. The staff welcomed us warmly, and our server was both friendly and engaging. Even with a group of more than 10 people, we were promptly accommodated with a reservation. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly our food arrived, especially considering the size of our party. The food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were equally delightful.

This was our first time into Lure! We had the crab cakes, pop rock shrimp, and oysters as appetizers. All were great! The pop rock shrimp is sooo many shrimp, such a great value, and cooked perfectly! The service was great; the server was super kind, patient, and knowledgeable about the menu. I wish I would've gotten her name! The decor and lighting were perfect; we were actually talking about a beach trip for the summer while we were there and it made us really excited for that lol For entrees we had the Sand Dabs and the Sea Bass; the sand dabs weren't my favorite, texture was bit tough for me but my boyfriend liked it! The sea bass was delicious, and I do have to say, everything was cooked to perfection! Dessert was the cobbler which was delicious. The sand dabs, martini, and pineapple Cole slaw were underwhelming, but I would re order anything else we got! We'll be back for sure :)

Food is top notch and good value for money. Love the fresh catch menu and my husband is a big fan of their lobster roll. Clam chowder is also pretty solid. Good shared app is the sea bass skewers. Service is consistent and attentive - and most of the team know the menu really well. Ambiance is mixed. The space is attractive but it's insanely loud and hard to hear people at the table no matter where you sit in the dining room and the booths near the door are very drafty in the winter. Would love to see them find a solution for the noise level because we love this place but often avoid it based on inability to have a conversation.

First visit to Lure Fish House was a little disappointing. It was a beautiful day, so we sat outside on the patio. Our table rocked back and forth, so we moved to another table - problem solved! Our server came by and greeted us fairly quickly. We got our drinks and some appetizers ordered. They were busy so it took a bit longer than expected... and I didn't love the ceviche. It was just average. For my entree, I went with a grilled fish (but unfortunately do not remember which one). It was just ok. Normally, I'm pretty easy to please, but on this visit, nothing really was very good... and none of the food really stood out as being worth the drive or money. Maybe it was just an off-day, but I'm not craving a return visit. The good news is that there are quite a few gluten-free options available on the menu... and the servers will go ask the kitchen if they are unsure whether an item is gluten-free. July 2024. I've now been to every Lure Fish House. I had already been to all the locations in CA several times, including the newer one in Los Angeles at Porter Ranch area 3 times. Ambiance: always great. Lovely ocean themed decor. Service at each location is kinda slow and they usually need more wait staff. Food. Today we had clam chowder and it was perfect and had the most clams we've ever had at Lure. Yummy! Bread: the rolls were stale and hard like last nights heated up. Caesar salad. Perfect! Fantastic dressing and just the right amount do it was fully coated. Delicious! Kids meal. Shells and cheese, kids loved it. Fries. Perfect. Cups of milk. This was our light lunch and it was perfect for us. Just slow service and wait staff was helpful but rarely seen and probably too many tables to cover. I see this a lot at Lure.

Yum! I had the swordfish with brussel sprouts and risotto. They gave you a hefty piece of swordfish, it was very juicy and meaty. I liked the tartar sauce with it. Simple seasonings which elevated the fish itself. The Brussel sprouts are $2 extra but are to die for. So so good. The risotto is also $2 extra but dang it was cheesy and so good, the olive oil elevated it too. The salmon - ordered by my sister - was outstanding. So buttery and melty in your mouth. There was a crisp crust that made it chef's kiss. My sister said the cilantro lime rice had a nice lime taste shining through and it was moist and very good rice. My dad had the rockfish and thought it was pretty good but would order the salmon or halibut next time. He wanted more sauce for the coleslaw, so if you like a saucey coleslaw maybe skip it. He said the potato pancake was also okay, he would order the risotto next time instead. My mom loved the swordfish. It was my parent's anniversary and you get a scoop of ice cream for free, the sundae was good but I would've expected a "better" dessert. We ordered the strawberry cheesecake because it isn't often you see gluten free cheesecake! Not the best we've ever had but it was good. Dense and good amount of sauce. The mint was a nice touch. We got seated in a a very nice booth. The service was good and fast. Nothing to complain about. We all agreed we would come back.

My wife and I had lunch this past Saturday during their Happy Hour. We sat at a table top booth and were serviced by Kirby. We ordered the caesar salad, grilled rockfish taco, clam chowder and Fish and Chips. The service, food, ambience and price (Happy Hour), was truly amazing. Probably the best Clam Chowder since my days in San Francisco. I also need to shout out Soyla who was also working the Bar.

Was a fantastic first experience @ Lure Fish House. Great atmosphere. The decor is very nice and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Our waitress Nicole was awesome. The Seafood tower is amazing. The rock fish was awesome as well. The bread even though I tried not to eat I couldn't stop. We will definitely be back soon.

My partner and I ate at Lure Fish House for the first time a couple weekends ago. The experience was very positive. We went on a Monday night around 7:30pm and it wasn't very busy so we were seated immediately. Our server was great. Very friendly and responsive. He also recognized my partners birthday which was nice. For food we started with the Crispy Calamari and the Veracruz Fish Chowder. Both were excellent. The calamari has bites of battered chiles and jalapeños which is a really nice touch. The fish chowder was actually the best bite of the entire meal. Seriously good! If we end up going back I would order a bowl of this for my entire meal. For mains we got the Sally's Sand Dabs and the Trout Almondine. Both were good, albeit safe dishes. Flavor-wise, no complaints; however neither dish was very memorable. In summary: Lure Fish House was overall positive and enjoyable experience and I would recommend this place if you're craving tasty seafood in an elevated environment.

Gave Lure another try because we really want to have a great seafood restaurant to go to. It was so much better this time! So glad we have a great seafood place to go to when in the mood for seafood! Pros 1. Oysters were nice and fresh and we tried all 4 kinds 2. The charbroiled oysters were also very good if you want something buttery, cheesy and garlicky 3. My cioppino was very tasty. Wasn't like traditional cioppino that I have had in San Francisco. If I weren't trying to lose weight, I'd ask for linguini to go with it. Easily would make 2 meals although reheating seafood isn't always the greatest smelling 4. My husband's fish was cooked perfectly. Cons N/A

Came here for my wife's birthday dinner last night. Honestly, I'm not big on seafood. But I appreciated Lure Fish House. Very clean and beachy motif throughout. Service was great as the restaurant had 2 young ladies open the door for us as we approached. I had reservations for 5:15pm but the restaurant already seemed pretty full. We had oysters - both raw and grilled, calamari, the sea bass, sand dabs (flounder), trout, and the shrimp pasta. Love the variety of choices for sides. Tommy provided excellent service for the evening as well as a birthday dessert that we thoroughly enjoyed.

I FINALLY found my favorite restaurant for oysters and fish! Lure Fish House is a hidden gem I stumbled upon recently and am so glad I did. The restaurant reminds me of fish houses in the Pacific Northwest mixed with a bit of a New Orleans style layout with their broiler. It's bright, welcoming and decorately beautifully to make you feel like you're right by the sea. Staff here were all incredibly nice and accommodating. Our waiter was the one who actually would go back and also shuck our oysters and charbroil the other ones we ordered. Everything tasted so good here! We ordered biscuits, oysters, charbroiled oysters, ahi tuna, brussel sprouts and a potato cake. Literally loved every single item we had. Drinks were great as well! They have a fairly big variety of cocktails, wines and more. I had an espresso martini and prickly pear margarita and both of them were done very well. I definitely will be back to try more of their fish! The other filets looked incredible when they brought them to others. They also have a large outside patio area with cute umbrellas and a nice private room for a more intimate gathering. Go here, you won't be disappointed!

I recently visited Lure for the first time, and it definitely gives Buck & Rider a run for their money! Having lived in the Pacific Northwest, I'm no stranger to fresh seafood, and Lure instantly brought back those familiar flavors from back home. The aesthetics inside are absolutely darling--so cozy and inviting. What sets this place apart is the impressive variety of food and drinks they offer, especially their Happy Hour menu, available not only throughout the week but also on Saturdays and Sundays. It's hard to find a spot that nails seafood in the desert, but Lure is now my go-to. I sampled several dishes, and every bite was fresh, flavorful, and downright delicious. The food, drinks, and service were all top-notch. I can't wait to go back! If you're looking for a fantastic seafood restaurant, Lure is the one.

Highly recommend without any reservations. Beautiful restaurant with attentive staff and great food. Three of us ordered the swordfish. Nice slab about 1/2 thick and palm sized cooked to perfection. Two sides came with the protein, pineapple cole slaw was outstanding as were the sautéed mixed vegetables. I had my fish blackened. The other person in our group ordered ravioli and appeared to enjoy it. We rounded out the night with warm Chocolate Flour Cake and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Lure is a very good restaurant with excellent value. Fresh fish is flown in daily and prices are reasonable. Definitely one of Scottsdale's finest.

Met up with my girlfriends at this restaurant which o had never heard of previously. We took advantage of their happy hour which is only available in the bar and patio area. We ordered a bunch of appetizers which included the pop rock shrimp, tiger shrimp cocktail, fries, raw oysters, oyster shooters, lemon soy shishito peppers and tuna ponzu. I also ordered the chipolte shrimp taco. The tuna ponzu was by far my favorite! When I tell you everything we had was delicious. I also ordered a watermelon mojito and the mixed berry mojito. Service was great, our waitress was attentive and gave us a last call to get in anything else we wanted before happy hour ended. I really like this place. Happy hour is 3-6pm.. take advantage if you can!

We were greeted with an employee opening the door and welcoming us; nice touch! While we had an early reservation and the restaurant wasn't busy by the time we left it was about 90% full and this was on a Monday; strongly recommend reservations. Loved the cheddar, bacon biscuits and clam chowder. Really enjoyed the sand dabs and maple miso Brussels sprouts. Our server was terrific and made us feel relaxed and valued. Great place for families, friends and a date night. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. Will return. As more patrons arrived the noise level was greatly impacted which made some patrons close to us talk louder.

Lure Fish House has good fresh clean seafood. For the most part they are pretty consistent with their food. A bit on the pricey side for the quality of their food. I had to send my Caesar Salad back twice because it had waay too much dressing on it & I couldn't taste the lettuce. The oysters were fresh & good.The rest of the meal was good also, except for my Caesar Salad :( Lots of seating inside & outside, plenty of parking & good service. Great bar if you drink alcohol.Good place for family meal, business dinner or to take a date, even though the ambient noise is pretty loud.Good location & easy to get to.I AM thinking about trying Lure's again & will do an update if I decide to eat there again.

Food, service and atmosphere were all excellent. Table of six with specific needs from the raw bar. Nice to have so many choices among the mains. The decor is beautiful and although our large-ish table sat outdoors, we had a fireplace.

Lure Fish House: How happy hour convinced me to move to Arizona Went here for happy hour which is available in the bar. This cute and nautically decorated restaurant with blue and white decor gets packed rather quickly and I see why. The host stand was welcoming and we got seated right away. Our service was fast and the server was an absolute delight. We got a couple of drinks: the California Dream which was a juicy, refreshing orange vodka based cocktail and a watermelon mojito. We really came here for the happy hour menu and ended up ordering almost everything. Started with a dozen oysters right away and half dozen char broiled. Incredible selection of oysters leading to an incredible variance of tastes and texture. The Mussels were so soft and packed with flavor and that side of garlic bread it comes with is perfect for soaking up the lovely chorizo tomato based broth. The spicy ceviche was good but nothing over the top. We also enjoyed the sliders which come with a generous portion of well caramelized onions and also the calamari which is perfectly cooked and seasoned. The crab cakes were so fresh and light with a wonderful remoulade and corn&arugula salad. A popular dish that we ordered a second round of was the pop rock shrimp. It's your typical battered and fried shrimp with a spicy mayo based sauce but their take on it was so well done! These choices alone were just on the happy hour menu. I am so excited to move here just to experience this again and try their regular menu items. Scottsdale food scene is proving itself one restaurant at a time and Lure Fish House is no exception. Excellent place to gather. Love it.

Great Crab cakes, Oysters and Sea bass Skewers. The Flourless chocolate cake with ice cream also stood out.

Great service. Food was good, not as spicy as I like. Chat broiled oysters were tasty but very small. Not like the ones you get in New Orleans, but dood for the area. Nice ambiance and dining area even in the bar.

Food was excellent. Staff accommodating to increase our reservation number. A little loud if seated on the interior. Ahi poke bowl was vey well done with a great presentation. Our table also had skewers, Louie salad , ceasar salad as main.

Came in for happy hour, calamari, shishito peppers and mussels were really good! The sauce that came with the shishitos and calamari was so delicious!

I have never given a restaurant a 1/5 stars before. If you enjoy mediocre expensive seafood, then sure give it a shot. First, I arrived 5 minutes later than the rest of party and saw that the waitress was taking drink orders. She saw us but didn't greet or say hi. Service overall was ok. Didn't ask how our drinks was, how our appetizers, etc. She did ask how our entrees was which I appreciated. But the service is not what made our experience poor. The food-- oh my god. I can't even explain to you how mediocre it is. We ordered oysters and every bite, it had sand. Evidence of poor cleaning and shucking skills. The oysters came with two sauce: red vinaigrette and a MIXTURE of Cocktail sauce and Horseradish. The concoction of cocktail sauce and horseradish is lazy in my opinion. Every restaurant that serves oyster has always put cocktail sauce and horseradish in two different containers. I ordered the clams linguine which also had sand present. Again, evidence of not thorough cleaning of the seafood. The linguini was really sour like spoiled milk if that makes sense. The "crispy" calamari was not crispy at all. The pop shrimp was not appetizing. The lobster ravioli somehow fails to meet the same level of quality as Costco's $6 lobster ravioli. The Caesar salad was salty, the lettuce was wilted, and the dressing did not have enough density to cling onto the lettuce. Some of the complimentary bread was stone hard. Overall I'm not coming back here and I wouldn't recommend it. Buck and Rider is much better in terms of food. Restaurant was pretty.

We just dined again at Lure. service was excellent and ambiance is good but could use a decor refresh. The food was disappointing this time. Portions have gotten smaller and fish was not a fresh as in the past. Clearly there has been turnover in the kitchen staff as dishes were concepted well but poorly executed.

We visited Lure Fish House for the first time on our Anniv. The bar area is open and noisy, luckily we were seated in a large booth in back of restaurant . Server was attentive but not outstanding. The fish was amazingly delicious and the brussel sprouts, wow! Best. Ever. Gf cheesecake was moist and flavorful. We received an ice cream dish for our Anniv which was very nice!

We went to Lure Fish House last night and sat out on the patio (I highly recommend it). My daughter and I were having a hard time deciding what to order so we told our sweet waitress to "surprise" us. My husband and son had no problem choosing their meals (and they loved them). Our waitress chose the Sand Dabs for me which was amazing. It had a wonderful lemon sauce with capers & delicious rice. My daughter got the Ahi Tuna, potato cake & the pineapple coleslaw (all was excellent). The sour dough bread never disappoints. I highly recommend this restaurant, we go every time we are in town. Kudos to everyone at this restaurant; it takes a whole team.

The service and food is excellent. Wait staff is friendly and conscientious. Our server was very on top of things. We had the pop rock shrimp, scallops and risotto, ceviches, bass skewers, cappino, lobster ravioli, salad everything was tasty.

First time here! The rolls come with tasty butter, and the charbroiled oysters are the specialty. I have been told by some that the charbroiled oysters are absolutely to die for. And well, they weren't wrong. The flavors are amazing. Savory and simply a must try. I also tried the New England Clam Chowder, and holy clam, I don't know how they make it but it's rich, with a hint of spicy, and perfectly balanced with the potato and clams. I have made my own clam chowder but this one certainly beats my recipe. I ordered the sea bass, with parmesan potato cakes and brussel sprouts as that was recommended by the server. The sea bass was cooked very well, and the sides were great. I preferred the potato cakes over the sweet brussel sprouts but still thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I will definitely be returning here and would recommend the charbroiled oysters and clam chowder!

Been here a few times and it's very good. There is something for everyone. I always order the clam chowder and fish tacos. Fantastic

i didnt have reservations, but it was monday afternoon and they were able to sit us in a terrific booth. (group of 6). restaurant was very nice looking. charbroiled oysters and raw miyagi oysters were great. kids menus were good price. order a round of tequila shots that paired well with the food.

We made a reservation for Mother's Day. I made it well in advanced to make sure there would be no issues. It was easy to get to (it was a perfect middle spot for my parents coming from the west side and us coming from east side) and there was plenty of parking spaces, as there is a ton of different other businesses around. The interior of the restaurant is very bright, clean and cute; perfect for a fish house. We started off with some cocktails; I got the California Tangerine Dream (per the servers recommendation) and it was very refreshing and light; a great summer drink. My sister and I ordered some oysters, they were of course, delicious. Everyone in my family got something different, so it was nice to be able to try everyone's food to see how it was. My dad got the fish n chips with the shrimp combo and he absolutely LOVED it! We all took a bite of it, and it was fantastic, the shrimp was incredible. We are definitely getting the fried shrimp appetizer next time we come back. I got the ahi tuna that was on the daily catch menu. It was cooked perfectly and was a good portion. They serve it with 2 sides and 2 different sauces, which is nice to be able to choose what flavor you want. My sister got the Lure Cioppino and it was everything she was hoping for. The broth was rich and garlicky, and the seafood was great and there was a lot of different seafood pieces in it. My mom got a salad and added ahi tuna, this was the only disappointing part of our meal. The salad didn't have any flavor, and the ahi tuna had a lot of tough parts to it; she barely ate any of it. That was unfortunate, but we all loved the rest of our meals, so we definitely would still come back and just make my mom try something better than a salad. Instead of eating our dessert, my sister and I got the Mochatini to share, and they actually put it in two different glasses for u, which was so nice! It was yummy and sweet and creamy, perfect ending to our lunch. Overall great lunch spot with my family. My dad cannot wait to come back! He still has talked about how much he loved it here. And there's definitely so much more on the menu I can't wait to try.

Lure is one of our go-to spots in Scottsdale when we're craving seafood! The Pop Rock Shrimp appetizer is one of our absolute favorites and we order it every time we go. In all of our visits there, we've tried many of the different entrees and have never been disappointed! Some of our favorites include the Tuna Ponzu, oysters, Tequila Lime Shrimp Pasta, and the Daily Catch with the side options. In addition to great food, we've always had wonderful service! The servers are very attentive, even when it's busy. Sometimes it can definitely get loud in there, but I've never had it to the point where I feel like I need to shout at my neighbor. All in all, we love Lure for great food, great cocktails, and wonderful service.

If you want a little bump up from your regular Red Lobster routine, check this place out. Down side, I did not see any crab legs on the menu when we went there. Might be seasonal? Not sure. We started off with the fried calamari which came with two dipping sauces. Wow! Probably the most crispy outside and soft chewy calamari meat I've tasted in the valley. Definitely recommend! I ordered the beet pecan salad with grilled shrimp. The portion size on this was huge and delicious. The greens were fresh with the vinaigrette sauce, the beets and pecans added some nice texture. The grilled shrimp was cooked just right but a little overly seasoned but over all great. I got to taste the shrimp and grits-wow the Tiger shrimp were the biggest I've seen. Also very tasty-almost lobster tasting. The polenta was creamy and buttery. A little heavy though, might wanna share. Also got to try the clam chowder-wasn't a fan because it tasted more like bacon than clams. Good textures from the veggies and potatoes. Overall, service was good. Our waters were kept filled and they refilled our bread basket. The restaurant gets busy fast. We got there about 10 minutes after it opened and there was a wait after we left. Parking can be tricky. The restaurant shares the parking lot in a plaza area with other restaurants and shops. I'd come back again to try some the fish dishes.

Honestly I am at a battle with this place. The ambiance can atmosphere is great. It is pretty decent for groups or couples with a huge dining area. They also have an open kitchen and the bar looks awesome. The pricing isn't exorbitant either which always helps. The taste of everything just seems mediocre. The cheesy polenta needed salt. The ahi tuna was cut so thick and the sauce was I think just some ponzu and a mayo base sriracha. I feel like I could make that dish at home which I have before. The best thing of the night were the charbroiled oysters from the Santa Cruz tower. The weird thing was that they had huge leafs of lettuce at the bottom and took up a third of the bottom tray. It just seems like a lot but really wasn't. Some of the other people in my party said the same thing. I'm sure of the hype of this place. It's always busy and decent reviews it wouldn't be my first choice for seafood in Arizona and maybe that's the real problem we live in the desert. Our server was nice. He spilled a bunch of stuff thankfully didn't go on us. But very nice and gave a few recommendations. Everything came out fairly quick. They even moved our time to sit inside which was nice. My reason for the 3 is that it's really a 3.5 but I can't round up here. The food just lacked here and I wasn't a huge fan. This is my second time coming and thought the same thing.

Lure Fish House is a really good restaurant and by today's standard) is reasonably priced. The fish is fresh and cooked perfectly. There are a wide variety of sides and they are generous and delicious. They have a nice Happy Hour with discounted appetizers. I would definitely recommend if you are in the area!
