Instead of driving down to Seattle, you can get decent dim sum in the area here. Dim sum is served all day, along with their regular menu, which consists of their lunch specials, family dinner specials, and chef's specials.
I normally order food while my team and I are at work, which is down the street. The customer service is okay and English is fair, so no miscommunications. The food is average and the portions are plentiful. Entrees like sweet and sour chicken, Mongolian beef and etc., do not come with rice unless you ask and pay for it. Normally rice would come with an entrée. My most recent visit kind of set me back a few stars. I am the one individual that will accurately check my numbers and totals. When I got rang up, it was for $87 for everything. In my head, I thought it was pricey for what we got, but since I was in a rush to get back to the office, I didn't check. Once I got back to work, I got a chance to add up everyone's total and noticed I was over charged by $12. The numbers didn't add up, even with tax, so I called the restaurant to see what I was charged for. Apparently their prices went up and they never changed them on their paper menus or online. Mind you, I grabbed a paper menu on my way out when I grabbed my food. An example of the price change is the sesame chicken. It was $13.95 on their paper and online menu, but paid $16.95 for it. Dim sum prices were also higher. Example, steamed shrimp dumplings on their menu was $5.75, and now suddenly $6.55. Funny thing is, while I waited for my food at the counter, the dim sum menus were also the same prices as I reviewed. When I called, I spoke to the female owner. She went over the prices with me quickly and the numbers added up fine. I then proceeded to tell her that I shouldn't have been charged what I was, because I should have been honored the prices that I saw, but I wasn't willing to drive back out especially while at work. I took the hit and accepted it. At the end, I wanted to explain to the lady that they should update their website and paper menus because the next person will not be so kind. She proceeded to raise her voice as I needed to hear her explain the prices again. I kept persisting that she just needs to hear me out and just update their prices. She really didn't get what I was trying to tell her until finally I started laughing at this situation, because here I am trying to be nice and prevent her business from dealing with an unpleasant customer for this exact situation. So I finally just said, "Look, as a business owner, please listen to your customer's feedback, as this will help you. This is what I get for being nice and not causing a scene? How do you treat those who are mean to you or doesn't pay??" I didn't wanna go there, but just imagine how frustrating that was... After she finally registered what I was implying, all was good and left it as that. So, fair warning, be mindful of what they ring up for you. Otherwise, their food is alright and you don't have to go far for dim sum.
