"As a fan of classic Los Angeles char-grilled patties, I was pleasantly surprised by the Fresh Burger here: a simpler build with American cheese, iceberg lettuce, sliced tomato, and shaved onion on a toasted potato bun, plus a swipe of garlic mayonnaise. The flavor instantly took me back to eating Charburgers at the Habit, and it stands up well to takeout, though the best move might be ordering it at the bar and pairing it with a High Life or natural wine and some fries. For context, the better-known Lowburger is a smashed patty slathered in 2000 Island dressing and red pepper jam, but the Fresh Burger’s restraint is the draw." - Eater Staff
