"The world’s largest indoor amusement park, Lotte World gets more than 7 million visitors annually. Seasonal festivals like the Rio Samba Carnival and the Happy Christmas Party dictate the themes of the daily parades and performances, while tons of rides—both indoors and out—keepguests entertained all day long. Other highlights include mega playgrounds, an ice-skating rink, a monorail, a folk museum, and, of course, lots of shopping. Visit on a weekday when it’s less crowded and lines are shorter, and remember to grab a map at the entrance in order to navigate the multilevel complex."

I visited Lotte World in Seoul on Christmas Day, and while it was a magical experience, it was extremely crowded due to the holiday. Most rides had wait times exceeding an hour, which required a lot of patience. Despite the long lines, the park itself is impressive and offers a unique experience with its combination of indoor and outdoor attractions. The indoor section, in particular, stood out as a highlight. Even though the outdoor weather was less than ideal, the indoor area provided a warm, comfortable environment filled with a variety of rides, entertainment, and activities suitable for all age groups, from toddlers to adults. This makes it a great destination for families, couples, and groups of friends alike. In addition to the attractions, Lotte World offers an abundance of dining options, catering to different tastes and preferences. Whether you’re in the mood for quick snacks, casual meals, or something more indulgent, you’ll find plenty of choices throughout the park. The souvenir shops are also worth mentioning, offering a wide selection of charming keepsakes to remember your visit. Overall, Lotte World delivers a fun and festive experience, especially during the holiday season, but it’s worth keeping in mind that it can get extremely busy during peak times. Planning ahead, arriving early, and possibly purchasing express passes could enhance your experience.

Went to Lotte World on Christmas Eve and it's pretty cool, though seems much more targeted at children overall (which is totally okay!) It was not too busy when we arrived which was good, we were able to walk around to see everything and went through the haunted house. The Christmas parade was very cute and the snow was a nice touch. It got super crowded at that point and it was difficult to move through the crowds to get to the exits. A lot of the claw machine games weren't working which was a bit frustrating.

Very fun park and not too expensive! I highly recommend buying the entrance in advance to avoid queues when entering the park. For the most popular rides you make a reservation and get assigned a time, so it's better to do it as soon as you enter the place. Some rides can get long queues. It's better to plan in advance which day and time to go. You won't get bored as you'll always find something to do. There are also plenty of places to eat. If you're thinking of renting a school uniform and aren't too sure of doing it, go ahead! Many teens and young adults wear them.

Absolutely amazing. This was the highlight of our trip. We only went on 4 or so rides, but enjoyed the performances a lot! The Street horror show was fantastic. The place is huge. Spent a whole day there and still didn't manage to explore it all. I'd happily pay twice what we did for this. I should add expect to wait an hour to three for rides. But this is typical in most theme parks these days.

Lotte World is a wonderful destination, especially for families with young children. I visited during the winter season, and while it was a bit cold, the cooler weather made the experience more enjoyable than visiting during the summer. My toddler loved this place and stayed until it closed, making the trip truly memorable despite a few challenges. The park is vibrant and well-maintained, but there aren’t many activities that toddlers can enjoy independently. Most rides require a parent’s accompaniment, but seeing my toddler’s excitement made it worthwhile. However, be prepared for long waiting lines, which can be a bit tiring. One important tip for families: if you’re bringing a toddler, buy their ticket at the same time as yours. We were hesitant at first, given our past experiences where our toddler couldn’t participate much at other parks. However, here, the kids’ ticket is worth it. If you skip buying it upfront, you’ll need to walk a considerable distance back from the theme park to the main ticket counter, which is quite inconvenient. Food options are somewhat limited, so don’t expect a lot of variety. For tourists, communication in English can be challenging, which adds a layer of complexity to navigating the park. Another confusing aspect was the ticketing process—you cannot go directly into the adventure park. Tickets must first be purchased at the Lotte World main entrance, which can be confusing for first-timers. One highlight is that you can get a rebate when paying with a Mastercard, so it’s worth using one for the discount. Overall, while there are some inconveniences, Lotte World offers a magical experience for families, especially for younger kids. It’s a great way to spend the day, and with proper planning, you can make the most of your visit!

Lotte World Korea is more than just a theme park—it’s a place where excitement and nostalgia come alive. Whether you’re screaming on the roller coasters or taking a quiet stroll through Magic Island, there’s a sense of wonder that draws people together. Families laugh, friends bond, and strangers share in the joy of the parades and cultural shows. The mix of thrill and warmth makes it feel almost magical, as if for a few hours, you’re part of something bigger than just a day out.

It is not the best amusement park that I have visited but lotte world deserve credit for the location in the capital city having access with metro in Seoul. If you chose the right day you can enjoy majority of the attraction in a day and if you are lucky you can even enjoy your favourite ride twice or trice which was my case during my visit during week day first week in January right after seasons holiday. All this covers the slight disadvantage of rides that are not so scary compared to major well known attraction parks in the world but more adapted to children, teens or even young couples for dating. Also the reasonable price compared to other big amusement park is a plus. Great place for family visit. Many credit cards companies have discount services so don’t hesitate to do your research. You can rent school uniforms before you enter the park (this is separate service outside of Lotte World) which can add fun for teens, foreigners, young couples.

Don’t waste your time and money! I tried to personally assess my experience at the CHÁ the manager. I found this park described as the "Disney of Korea." And to be considered a Disney, Lotte World is far from it, starting with the unpreparedness of the staff, who don’t speak fluent English. At Disney, there are employees from all over the world to offer the best experience for visitors, and this is what I want to talk about: Lotte World is just a business, it doesn’t think about the experience of those who waste an entire day at the park. And yes, it is a waste of time—I could have gone to any other attraction in Seoul, but when I reserve an entire day, it means I prioritized going to Lotte World. It’s even worse when I left my home country, Brazil, and wasted time in this mess and lack of respect! The lines don’t respect closing times. Fast passes are not offered at the entrance and, worse, they can only be purchased online if you have a Korean number. In other words, this is not a park designed to be a Disney, but rather just any other park that doesn't deserve the attention of foreigners in Seoul. I was really upset because I went to the park to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, who requested the trip to Korea as her birthday gift, and this place ruined the day with the staff’s lack of preparation. For those who don’t know what customer experience is: it was just a workday for them, don’t waste their time and money on a place that doesn’t care about its visitors.
