Pros. - great location. Your right in the middle of where you could want to be and go. Night markets not far away. Shopping you are surrounded by. Awesome restaurants close too. - clean rooms -comfy bed (but small) - ice maker and water machine on every level - nice size bathroom with a good bidet and nice sized shower -rooms were nice and quiet Cons. -no pool -beds are very small -rooms are very small - air conditioning is next to useless. Had set to 16c never went below 21c -fridge doesn't run cold at all -no room service (4 star hotel? I think not) -not all the staff spoke English very well so communication was tricky. - view was ok. Nothing special. Overall we wouldn't go back to this hotel. We would definitely go back to Seoul and we would probably stay in the same area. We would consider their sister hotel. Will just do better research next time. It's a good one for 1-2 nights or a business trip. But not for family's and not for extended stays

We stayed at this hotel for two week and really liked the location and proximity to downtown and public transportation. The room was a bit small for two people. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The room service was okay because we had our bath robes and cups taken multiple times and not replaced. The cafe downstairs was really nice and opened at 7:00am every day. They have a complimentary drink discount if you show your room key.

We had a great stay. The reviews were mixed so wasn't sure what to expect. Our room was the superior one but it was pretty basic, which worked for us at this price point. The AC was quiet, the beds were comfortable, bedding clean, + pillow selection. Nice bathroom. Staff was very accommodating. Breakfast OK. We chose to eat out, more options around, and the hotel is close to so many places to eat! Location simply can't be beat! We will stay at this hotel again.

I booked it the first time visiting Seoul, the rooms are spacious with big bathrooms. There’s also a gym, laundry, a 7/11 connected to it and a halal Indian restaurant too. The gym had various equipment sand staff were very friendly and accommodating (great for booking transportation!). The location itself was really nice as well, lots of historical buildings near rather than main city vibes.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at LOTTE City Hotel in Myeongdong for the second time, and we can confidently say it’s a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Seoul. The location is simply unbeatable—right in the heart of the bustling Myeongdong area, you’re just steps away from countless shopping options, delicious food stalls, and convenient access to subway and bus lines. Everything you need is within walking distance, making it incredibly easy to explore the city. We’d like to give a special shoutout to Andrew Seo, who truly made our stay memorable. We met him during our last visit, and he remembered us this time around! Andrew went above and beyond to assist us in so many ways, providing recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed. His friendly demeanor and dedication to excellent service made our stay even more enjoyable. The rooms are well-appointed and comfortable. Our only minor complaint would be the elevator situation; it tends to be quite slow, especially during peak hours between 7-10 AM, which can be a bit frustrating when you're trying to start your day. However, this small inconvenience is easily outweighed by the hotel’s many positives. Overall, we highly recommend LOTTE City Hotel Myeongdong. With its prime location, excellent staff like Andrew, and comfortable accommodations, it’s no wonder we chose to return for our stay. We will definitely be back for a third visit!

This hotel is definitely not its advertised 4-star standard because: 1. The room and pillows have a stale/oldish smell, uncomfortable when sleeping. 2. The double bed is very awkwardly positioned so close to the window that only one side is accessible. The other side has no space at all to enter — you literally have to climb over. 3. To make it worse, only one side of the bed has a nightstand, which makes it even more inconvenient for two people. Basic comfort was clearly not considered. 4. The double bed is very small for two adults. 5. The bathroom had no fan/window, just a ventilation exit so every shower left the entire room humid and uncomfortable. 6. The room lighting is bad even for hotel standards and on top one of the spots is motion sensor activated, which means you have to keep waving your hands if you want more light in the room. 7. The furniture is old and tired, chipped here and there, clearly not updated in years. 8. They don’t provide irons in the room, you have to go to a separate room on the 3rd floor - another inconvenience. 9. The mirror was not properly cleaned. It had a big oily mark ok it when we came in. We had to clean it. Additionally, there is a construction site nearby and it is very loudly from the first hours of the morning. Although we are staying at the 26th floor, the noise is very loud and it is difficult to sleep. Overall, this is a very poor experience. The room is cramped, uncomfortable, and lacking in the most basic amenities like a nightstand, I would absolutely not stay here again and do not recommend it. I have another booking in the near future for this hotel, but I will cancel it.

Hotel looks nice on the outside. Tiny rooms, no double queen bed available. No fan in the bathroom just a small vent. Location is good, in the heart of the city. Service is horrendous. No toothbrush or toothpaste provided. Room service took my shirt for 3 days and didn’t listen to my instructions to bring it back immediately. Said they had to wash it first. They shrunk it. 6 phone calls and 3 visits to the front desk they finally give me money for my shirt. Which was in Korean Won. Doesn’t make any sense since I showed them that I paid in USD. I’m going back down to the front desk tomorrow to ask for the exchange rate transaction fee of 3%. Also, beware of the people that stay at the hotel, especially in the laundry room on the 3rd floor. Super wide range of entitled people who will feel the need to stop your load just to waste your time. Saying I’m sorry or apologizing doesn’t make up for my time and energy lost trying to resolve this issue. Won’t be staying here ever again.

Great location to the night market, cathedral, art museum, and restaurants, all within walking distance. Our room was decent and the hotel is adjacent to Angels in Us coffee shop and 7-11, will a c25 convenient store across the street. Definitely would come back.
