Ordered a bunch of pizzas here! There were a bunch of options, including a lot of gluten free options, which was great! My favorite pizza was probably the procuitto pizza - they put a lot of procuitto on it! The pizza was a little thicker than I normally liked, but it was still good. The restaurant was very spacious and there were lots of tables. The service was also quick, as there were not many patrons. I would recommend coming here for some nice sit down new york pizza!

One of my new fav dinner spots in FiDi! Incredible pizza, friendly service, good atmosphere. I've been here on a Thursday night & Sunday night, and on both occasions the restaurant was pretty hoppin' (cute neighborhood restaurant vibes with a steady crowd). The montanara pizza is essentially pizza made using fried dough as the base, and it was great! I'd never tried anything like it; the texture was so unique (crispy, but also almost bouncy?), and it had that extra hint of flavor. The diavola pizza is also simply delicious. I liked the cacio e pepe pizza, but I think next time I'd want to try the pistachio pesto + sausage pizza if I was going for a non-red sauce option. I've enjoyed the apps I've had here -- the potato croquettes and fried cacio e pepe (forgot the actual name) -- but the pizza is definitely the star of the show for me. And, you can't leave without some tiramisu! I used to not really like tiramisu, but this place changed it for me. It's so creamy, whipped, light. I've also heard they have amazing gelato made in house ... will have to add that to the list for next time!

Having been to both Don Antonio and Keste I can confidently say Keste is the superior of the two for both gluten-free pizza and regular pizza. I prefer the vibe and offerings of Keste's happy hour also, which features discounted cocktails, beer, and bites. My last visit was a bit rough as far as service goes. We made a reservation for six people and arrived a few minutes prior to our reservation only to be told it'd be at least a half hour until our table was ready. What's the point of making a reservation if you're not going to be able to be seated in time for it? We killed time at the bar and I ordered an Aperol Spritz which hit just right on a hot summer day. Around a half hour later we were finally seated and starving which led to us over ordering but all good, I love having leftovers. This time around I had their vegetarian pizza which came fully loaded with every vegetable you could ever want on a pizza. We also ordered their version of a calzone which was huge and absolutely oozing with cheese. Overall the food here is great, but their reservation and seating system could use some attention.

It's hard when there's so much pizza in New York so I'm giving this a safe 4. Never had a fried pizza and it was just ok. The sauce on it I didn't quite like but I'm sure other people do. The stone oven pizza was good, had ground beef which was ok but I very much enjoy pizza out of a stone oven. Anyway, it was good, not great but worth a visit. Eat well or die trying -ant

This spot is super cute and the staff is great. That being said, they really need to work on their food quality. The oil and vinegar was.... I don't know. The caprese salad was flavorless, the pasta was mid, and the pizza was not great. We chose this place because we saw a review about this being one of the best pizza spots in NYC, that must have been a paid a review because there is no way that is the case. We've been to NYC so many times for work and fun and this was the worst pizza we can remember. I really hate writing negative reviews because I know everyone is doing their best, but you shouldn't waste a NYC meal on this place. The 2nd star was for the welcoming and kind staff. Ugh... I'm sorry.

My cousin's boyfriend took us here for dinner on my birthday. It's not the greatest NY pizza. Sadly, i couldn't have them to take some off the ingredients out of the pizza as i am allergic to and all they can say is they can't change the menu. I had to order something else, bland and very much not the NY pizza I had in mind. My kuya and I weren't thrilled about this place. Lack of customer service and care for their patrons. I would've walked out and went somewhere else but courtesy to my cousin's guy my kuya and I held our tongue and swore to not let him be the guide next time we visit NY.

If you're looking for a delicious family friendly, traditional Italian spot with delicious wood fired pizza, then Keste is the place for you. We visited a couple of times with a group, one time we sat outdoors on the street which was quite and secluded because if the fences and foilage, and another time we sat inside. Different atmosphere but both good. We ordered many pizzas, all the classics are great, and the calzones too. I particularly loved the Vesuvio pizza! Wines and cocktails are available on the menu. For dessert, we enjoyed the Nutella donuts. Staff are really helpful and friendly and provided recommendations.

First time here at Keste and it was quite wonderful. Keste has become my favorite place to get a whole pie especially gluten free crust! This establishment would've been a full 5 stars instead of 4.6 because the mozzarella & prosciutto was definitely underwhelming and not much thought put into it with just literally three slices of meat and mozzarella wasn't the best. What saved the restaurant was obviously the pizza and the pomodo was exquisite. A simple four ingredients made it like was in Italy and my taste buds was satisfied. The Diavola is just worth getting Overall, ambiance was casual and comfortable then service was very attentive. We will be back to get our favorite pizza.

When in NYC, you seek out the best pizza and Kesté did not disappoint. The food was amazing and fresh! I ordered a pear and noci salad, a glass of pinot grigio and a pizza pie. Deli and fresh!! The owner, Roberto, was so kind to us, he sent us a delicious appetizer on the house and the best Gelato I have ever eaten! The service was spectacular and attentive, quickly retrieving our beverage and food choices. The atmosphere is quaint. We sat outside and enjoyed the summer night air among candles and live greenery and plants.

The service is spotty and questionable to be frank but there's no denying that their pizza is top tier. I got a regular pie with mushrooms and it was fantastic. When a pizza's crust is great, you know that's a reliable spot. Definitely on the pricier side for pizza but based on other parties it is definitely the spot for birthday gatherings and other special occasions. All in all, I would return with friends to try more things on the menu.

When Keste was in the west Village, it was one of my favorite Neapolitan pizzas in the city. I hadn't been for a long time, but when I passed their FiDi location I knew I had to order for pickup. I ordered the arancini, salsiccia pizza, and their Italian ham calzone. It pains me to say this, but the arancini was probably the worst I've ever had. It was incredibly dry, very crunchy and undercooked, and so chalky. The flavor would have been good if the risotto wasn't so under. The pizza was mediocre, toppings were very minimal, crust was extremely thin and crunchy. There just wasn't a lot of substance this pizza like I remembered in the past. When I ordered, this was a Monday late night. They called me twice for my order to get picked up. And then oddly they called me the next day to confirm I had picked up my order the night before? I feel I might not be giving this a fair assessment as my order was 9 PM on a Monday. I'd go back for a pistachio pizza which was super memorable in the past.

The outside left much to be desired. The outdoor seating area was bleak and the extensive garbage on the curb almost turned us away! Once inside, we were glad we stuck it out. The espresso martinis were delicious and came quickly. The 2 pizzas we tried were delicious. We tried the Bianca arugula pizza and we tried one of the fried dough pizzas from Guy fieri's menu. Both delicious.

I stopped by with my sister. We found this restaurant through Resy and thought why not try it out? We went on a Friday night and did not need reservations. When we arrived, we were seated immediately. The restaurant is in Lower Manhattan across the street from NYP Lower Manhattan Hospital. I never noticed the restaurant in the area mainly due to all the scaffolding in front of the restaurant. Inside the restaurant, it feels cozy, pleasant, and laid back. The staff all wear T-shirts with the restaurant's logo. It's more of a chill date night spot, a small friends/family get-together/casual dinner. We ordered the Montanarine as an appetizer. The Kesté red pizza, the Margherita with mushrooms (funghi) pizza, a plain Margherita, and calzone with mushrooms. The Montanarine is a cute two-fried dough snack. They are good, but you can do without them. All the pizzas we ordered were delicious. I love the Kesté pizza. Light, airy with fresh ingredients - a slice of prosciutto with some arugula on every slice. We ordered a plain Margherita pizza and a calzone with mushrooms to go. Both were quite filling. The calzone was quite different from what I would imagine. It looked like a regular pizza in a calzone shape infused with mushrooms and stuffed with ricotta and mozzarella cheese. It was filling as well though I did enjoy my Kesté pizza way more. the Margherita pizza is very reliable and you cannot go wrong with that. The Margherita pizza with mushrooms was also delicious and they were quite generous with the mushrooms. After trying the food here, I had a huge craving for Neopolitan pizza for the next few days. After trying this, I cannot go back to my old ways of eating New York-style pizza or some thick-crust pizza. I want a light and chewy pizza with fresh ingredients. I will be back.

One of the worst meals we've had in a long time. I was here when they first opened years ago and all of us hated our food. People kept telling me I was crazy and to come back. So I finally did. The pizza and calzone were wet and didn't have a good flavor. You picked it up and everything just dripped right off. The potato croquettes and fried cacio e Pepe had to be frozen and reheated because the cacio e Pepe was hot outside and ice cold inside with a glob of hard cheese that hadn't melted. The potato croquettes we all felt tasted like dish water and I couldn't finish them. We originally were planning on staying for dessert but changed our mind after the meal. Definitely not coming back. The staff were all nice though.

This place was on my bucket list since it's come in on many different best pizza lists all under # 75. I was on a quick half hour lunch break. Sat at the counter. Service was amazing. Ordered one of the lunch salads which had a great dressing and the Keste pizza. Since I was in such a rush I ordered a pizza normally works get. It had prosciutto and arugula. It was hard to tell which was the salad and which was the pizza! I removed some arugula. I have to say the dough was heaven. Next time I'll stick to a margherita pie so I can really taste the cheese and dough without toppings.

The best gluten free pizza and sangria in NYC. Never a bad experience. Staff is always attentive and they have the cutest patio.

Lunch special pies are pretty solid! I went for a late lunch, and there were plenty of seats and our server was extremely friendly. For about $10-12 depending on the menu, you can get a 8" pizza, panini, and salad. That's a great deal for filling lunches these days. I had the Vegetariana, which was just cheese and some veggies, and it was very tasty. The dough is super chewy, so I absolutely loved the crust. But the sauce was not what I liked. It was a bit more sour than sweet. The downside is that there aren't that many variety when it comes to pizza topings. I wish there was meat + veggie option. And they didn't allow substitutes and additions iirc.

Oh man the pizza is so awesome. I had the pizza del re and it was superb. So much flavor. My wife had the GF Keste and she loved every bite of it. Service was fast and friendly. Kids devoured their pizzas as well. Only knock I'd say is the arincinis which were not my fav and lacking sauce (even on the side would help). I'd come back here in a heartbeat for their pizza. And yes they are GF friendly! The tiramisu (gf) was so good. The pistachio gelato was excellent. And my kids loved the Nutella pizza w vanilla gelato.

#39 on 2022's list of Top 50 Neapolitan Pizzas Worldwide ! RATING: 9/10 PRO TIP: They have vegan pies available, and a Guy-Fieri section of their menu. Lots of options here. THE BUTCHER Got their version of a meat lovers and they didn't hold back on the toppings; was very pleased with how much they layered meat on this bad boy but I will say maybe because of all that the pizza itself leaned heavy towards the salty side. That being said, I can see why this place got renowned internationally. Their doughy, chewy crust and the quality cheese and sauce make for an amazing neapolitan style pizza experience. I will say that compare to the one ranked above it in NYC on the same list, the dough is a little thicker, which means it generally holds together more easily, and fluffier/chewier. Lots of people think Neapolitan pizza is "wet." I would say out of many places I've tried, this spot doesn't seem to have that problem. RANKING: EXCELLENT (terrible / bad / ok / good / great/ EXCELLENT)

I had read about this place online and see great reviews. With only 48 hours in the city I knew this was where I wanted to have dinner. It's worth it! The service was very fast. The food was amazing! I would love to go again and try one of their cooking classes.

I was at Keste for Scott's Pizza Tour. I got to see their different ovens, some of the process, and sample the Margherita (Tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, grana, basil, extra virgin olive oil) Pizza. It's a beautiful facility. Lot of space in the middle of FIDI in New York City! I think this is a great place to go if you are interested in the process of pizza and specifically Neapolitan pizza. They are using all the right products and they also ship frozen pizzas. They do pizza classes! So notes about the Margherita Pizza I ate...The crust was nice and airy and had a good charred flavor. Loved the mozzarella. I would absolutely return to sample more of their menu. Margherita wouldn't necessarily be my first choice. I'd be interested in trying some of the fried pizza dough. Little surprised they are not AVPN certified.

Last week, I took two of the new employees to lunch walking distance from the job. We had an hour lunch, and service was pretty slow, but in the end, it was worth it. The paninis were $10.50, and the portion was huge and filling. Personally, I went vegetarian and ordered the Ponza panini. This panini consists of zucchini, artichoke, fresh mozzerella, pecorino Romano, and evoo. I would definitely return to this spot for lunch. The ambiance is welcoming and moderately energetic with plenty of options to dine indoors or outdoors. This spot has a great happy hour where you get complimentary samples if you purchase a drink.

They have a large selection of pizzas with many vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. We tried the montanara and the montanara truffle and both were great. Would definitely visit again but order something other than the montanara as it was fried and too oily for me. They also brought out chili oil and red pepper flakes without us asking which was very helpful. I went on a Thursday around 6:15pm and was able to get seated immediately and food was brought out pretty fast as well.

Keste is an absolute hidden gem. Located in downtown Manhattan near south street seaport. My first visit was with coworkers and the food was soo good. The pizza is top notch, feels like you're in Italy. Their house salad is absolutely deliciosa!! Since then I have been back a few times. Please try their sangria omg you won't be disappointed.

I have been to this restaurant twice already. It is located in a rather quiet place. Both times we sat outside. I recommend this pizzeria, as the food and drinks are very tasty here, and what is very important is the very good service. Here, every client is treated as a VIP person. The prices here are not cheap, but everything was very high quality and tasty.

Pizza is the mainstay of my husband's diet. Keste's is a pizza wonderland, offering unlimited varieties of pizza. Excellent quality, spacious interior, excellent service--Keste's has it all. We were here on a late Summer Saturday night, and the indoor/outdoor crowd was having the time of their lives. It warms the heart to see people really enjoying fabulous food and drink.

We met at Keste's pizza to start our pizza tour with Scott's pizza tour. We met in a large room of the restaurant where we could view pizza's prepared from the dough to the completion coming out of the oven. Dough can vary as the ratio of water and flour to the type of oven they are baked. The pizza tour had a field trip vibe as we rode on an actual school bus to your 4 different pizza restaurants in the New York area.

Great gluten free pizza!! Was able to walk in on a Sunday night without a reservation and got seated right away. Salad was just ok but overall a delicious meal!

The pizza here is absolutely delicious although the service is kind of slow so make sure you're not too hungry when you come. They have personalize sizes so you can eat a whole one and they're made fresh to order. They also play soccer games on their TVs and their place gets packed when those games are on. Everyone was nice and kind and I would definitely come back as it was a nice vibe to watch the game while eating.

As a hungry vegetarian, I was pleased with the pizza selection. I came here as part of a birthday gathering and we ordered a selection of appetizers and pizzas. And we had wine as well. It came out to about $150 per person that I thought it was a little high but we had a great time celebrating my friends birthday. I had the truffle pizza and there's some cheese on top and most of this piece is very carb heavy and delicious. I had the artichoke salad and I was surprised with the size though it was very good. I had the vanilla gelato with the espresso and it was very good. Five Stars for the team. They were very accommodating and very professional and attentive.

We came here for some wood fire pizza and ended up going with the margarita. You can either share the pizza or if you're very hungry you can make it a personal. It was pretty good!

WOW! If you are gluten free and looking for a pizza that is not just flat and crispy for a change, you HAVE to come here. The pizza had a fluffy crust and looked very similar to the regular crust. The service was great, definitely very authentic family-owned Italian vibes. For appetizer we ordered the homemade truffle burrata, which happened to come with gluten free Focaccia! All the pizzas we ordered were incredible and enjoyed by everyone. Good Italian wine selection. Very casual ambience, lots of families.

I just emerged from an October No Pizza Challenge and had to get something legit upon my return. The area of the Financial District that I work in (further south and west) doesn't have great options, but this place was right on the edge of my geographic range for lunch and looked pretty legit/high end. Easy call. Fulton Street is not one of my favorites; it's chaotic and busy for most of its length, especially closer to Broadway where all of your cheaper eating options are clustered together. Keste is on that weird block where the businesses are actually set back a little from the road, opposite/diagonal from the Turkish bath place, and despite oodles of scaffolding had a lot of signage that quickly directed me to the entrance without incident. As soon as I walked in, it was clear this was a popular restaurant. I eat lunch in FiDi all the time, but I think this is the busiest establishment I've been to, which is saying something. I honestly don't know enough about this place to confirm if this is a combo of a decent spot for locals and tourists alike, but given that it's less than two blocks from the Seaport area, I can make an educated guess. I also ended up sitting at the bar near two very obvious out-of-towners who tried to order off-menu, were rebuffed, and then saw my normalish pizza and asked for that. The aforementioned pizza was the Diavola (about $18 or $19), which is basically the bougie version of pepperoni pizza except the soppressata is a bit spicier. I was pretty hungry and ate the entire pie. All of the ingredients were pretty solid, though I wasn't crazy about the dough/crust. Based on the reviews, I'm in the minority here but it was too chewy and didn't have a lot of give to it. It could have used a little bit more time in the oven to acquire some more crispness. Let me be clear - Neapolitan pizza is not standard, by the slice NY pizza. You usually have to eat the first few bites with a fork and knife, in my experience. But when you pick it up and over half the slice has already been consumed? It shouldn't still be flopping at that point. Again, other reviewers seem thrilled by the texture/consistency of the dough, but I wasn't one of them. The soppressata was the star for me; the meat was slightly charred and very flavorful. The service was very good. When I dine solo I rarely have an objection to securing a spot at the bar, especially at lunchtime - the facetime with the bartender will usually guarantee quick turnaround times and consistent communication. That certainly happened here. I also grabbed a glass of Pinot Grigio ($12), which was a little dry for my taste and I thought the pour was a little weenie but I didn't regret the purchase. The total bill with tip came to just under $40 - a LITTLE pricey for this area but not by much. And because this pizza is practically made instantaneously, I was in and out relatively quickly. Would definitely come back, though I might strategically schedule the visit for an off-time to avoid the hordes of people.

We were immediately seated Lots of great pizza toppings and options; plenty for friends with specific diets. Pizzas remind me of a trip to Rome/Italy- round, thin, chewy! There was also a pan fried pizza we tried that was unique I also really enjoyed an espresso martini here!

~ Home made Burrata ~ Burrata is quite creamy and smooth, prosciutto is okay. The focaccia is very pale and tasted quite bland. ~ Margherita w/ sausage & mushrooms ~ The pizza is pretty good! The crust is crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside. There is a decent amount of mozzarella and toppings. ~ Tiramisu ~ Doesn't taste good, very disappointed. It taste like being frozen for a long time and not fresh, as the mascarpone is not soft, the lady finger is hard and dry. Will I be back? Yes The pizza is good, so if I am in the neighbourhood and craving for pizza, this will be the place to go. Plus our server was very nice and attentive.

One of my favorite pizza spots with true Italian vibes and ingredients. Awesome gluten free and regular pizzas, so it's a great spot for the whole group. The arancini is delicious (don't ask for any sauce on the side, this place is classic Italy and arancini is served without sauce!). Every pizza I've had has been top notch as well. Some of my favorites are the quattro formaggi, Diavola, the Keste, and the mushroom pizza! Truly incredible dough to cheese to sauce ratios, and delicious, quality ingredients. The service is always awesome whether you're at a table or the bar, and the hostess is so kind. This spot really feels like a classic neighborhood spot that gives us a taste of Italy every time we come in. Great prices and a great happy hour as well.

The Gluten-Free pizza with home made crust was awesome. Lots of great mushrooms on my pie. Great glass of montepulciano. The tiramisu was delicious. The rude service is part of the ambiance.

WOW WOW WOW! This is probably my favorite pizza I've ever had, and trust me I eat pizza a lot! When I saw Freight Pizza, I told myself I must try this, as I've never had something like this before. It was stuffed with mozzarella, ricotta and salami, and full of flavor. I also had the Arancini as an appetizer and it was also amazing! To all my gluten-free and celiac people, this place is safe to eat. My brother has celiac's disease and I was able to eat here perfectly fine as this restaurant has a separate kitchen just for all gluten-free items. He has the DIAVOLI gluten free pizza and the crust was delicious! Best gluten free pizza crust he's has! The service was amazing and the ambience reminded me of the time I was in Italy. I truly felt like I was inside in Italian restaurant in Italy. I will definitely come back.

Amazing service and incredible gluten free crust pizza. We had a lovely time drinking wine, listening to music and eating delicious pizza. My personal favorite was the Burrata Roberto and would definitely come back for seconds. They also offer pizza lessons with unlimited wine which is something I want to try

Had this bookmarked because of the hype, but more so because they offer gluten free pizza. Unfortunately, both GF and non-GF pizzas were a bit of a miss. I came here with my friend (who is GF) and we ordered the diavola (GF) and the burrata roberto pizza (regular). Both pizzas were already soggy on the bottom by the time they got to our table - and I mean so soggy that it felt like we submerged bread into water, waited 5 minutes, and then ate it. Flavors were lacking too - both tasted quite bland, surprisingly. The only non-soggy part (the crust) was the best part, as it was mildly crispy and chewy - I could taste the potential this pizza had...potential that it could not reach that day. We weren't sure if we just came on a bad day, but was more disappointed that we went out of our way to come here. Unsure if I'd try this again anytime soon.

The pizza at Keste is one of my favorites in New York City. They have Neapolitan style and the Sabrina with black truffles is amazing! They also offer classes, I recently took one of their Italian Cheese classes- you taste your way through regions of Italy with cheese. I learned so much and it was super tasty.

If you are looking for REAL Italian pizza, look no further than Keste. This pizzeria is consistently on the nation's top pizzerias and it has never let me down. No matter the selection, you're going to receive authentic, fresh, well crafted pies. During this visit, we ordered the Margherita and Marinara pies and to-go boxes were not required. If the pizza wasn't enough..... their Tiramisu dessert is the best I've had. Soft, perfectly infused with espresso, and large enough to share. The perfect cap to the meal was the espresso. Another piece to the puzzle of absolute bliss. Every single course of this experience was on point and the service is perfection. A staff that is always happy, cordial, quick to serve, and always ensuring that you're comfortable. Don't hesitate to give Keste a try. You'll leave content, satisfied that you made a wise choice, and having experienced why Keste is nationally ranked as one of the best.

I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH! i had my birthday party here and my non Gf friends couldn't believe that they were eating gluten free pizza. I'm absolutely amazing on the quality of the food. This restaurant has to stay forever because it truly has the best GF pizza i have ever had.

Was very excited to try the gluten free pizza here having seen so many good reviews, and I was not disappointed. We were sat quickly at lunch without a reservation. The restaurant had a very authentic Italian feel to it. The staff was very friendly and checked in multiple times throughout the meal to make sure everything was good. It was a bit expensive, but we did a lunch special and got the Keste Pizza which was phenomenal. Gluten Free: When it comes to gluten free pizza this place is a must stop. Wide variety of pizza options and felt confident in the safety of the preparation.

My daughter took me here several years ago and I remembered it to be good. I am so glad that they have been remained consistently good. We had two gluten free pizza: Keste and quattro formaggio. We had the pear and walnut salad which was so fresh and delicious. We ended our meal with a gluten free tiramisu. Yes! A gluten free tiramisu. Service was pretty good. The food came fairly quick for a fresh made pizza. The restaurant is quite large. It is a very casual dining place that feels like you are in Italy.
