It is a unique, solid Mexican restaurant in South Scottsdale with much history. Don't expect Tex-Mex rather a unique menu that has something for everyone (including Vegans). 👍 Service is almost always great. Recently Joshua served us and he was very good. Shout out to Rosie, who has always been one of my favorites! 👍 Margarita flights are delicious! A way to try a few and determine your favorite. 👍 I like the food, some things more than others (love the tamales, guac, and some of the salads in particular). The breakfast/brunch options are solid. Their rice/beans MEH but it's hard to make those stand-out. 👍 Desserts are awesome, save room for them. 👍 A little on the pricey end IMO for S. Scottsdale but not unreasonable considering the ingredients. 👍 Love the vibe especially since they have expanded, however, please note, the flies on the patio, especially when it gets hotter can be uber annoying. Guess something in the food attracts them. But I would still sit outside most of the time (the fire pits are awesome in the winter).

Wonderful service and fantastic food and drinks! Rosie was amazing and so friendly! I have to eat gluten free and she was very knowledgeable as to what I could eat on the menu. If I lived in the area, I would go here all the time!

We came here for dinner before going to Zoolights and after the Hall of Flame. We had a party of 6 including 2 kids. We enjoyed probably a bit too much all the chips and salsa that came out before the meal. It was delicious and we got 4 baskets because we were hungry. We ordered a regular size guacamole which came out in a molcajete. We saw a large go by as well and it probably would have been too much for us as 2 in our group do not like guacamole but I highly recommend it. I had the skirt steak and my husband had the red snapper. The kids ate quesadillas. The whole dinner cost way less than I thought it would. We came under $100 which these days is hard to find even in a fast food joint with a large party so the value here for the ambiance on the patio, the friendly service, and the food was fantastic.

Oh my goodness! Living in Arizona I’ve been to quite a few Mexican restaurants, but this is BY FAR the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to. The flavors are fresh and phenomenal. Not too spicy, just perfection. I had the pechuga rellena and the sauce alone could win award. We definitely will be returning and recommending to everyone we know.

Had an amazing meal with Rosie as our waitress. Prickly pear margaritas were delicious as well as the chipotle salsa and everything else we tried today. Wonderful meal.

Our two families went to dine here on the evening of 01/26/2024. When we walked in, we got excited because the restaurant looked nice, there was a fire burning and it smelled like mesquite. But later I noticed the mismatched chairs, like at some backyard party. Our server was, how shall I say? Uncharismatic. She took our orders, but didn’t write anything down. That’s cool if you got it like that, but she didn’t, she had to come back to ask a simple question that wouldn’t be needed if she wrote things down. Usually, items from the kid’s menu come out first, because kid’s need it. Not here, it seemed like those dishes were forgotten, because a quesadilla and some nachos aren’t complicated to make. Those plates came out way last. When my wife’s friend when to ask if they were coming, the server basically shooed her away and said they were coming out. That looked really bad. I had the Tampiqueña plate and I was underwhelmed. The plate was $30 and the menu purports the skirt steak as being “marinated”. If I had to bet money on this meat, it tasted like it only had some salt on it. My wife’s mole tasted more tomato based than anything, not good, she didn’t finish her food. My friend’s plates were sad. My friend’s wife ordered the seafood tacos and they were literally miniature. My friend’s enchiladas weren’t good either. The refried beans were dry and the Spanish rice barely had any flavor, and was dry. The portions were very small for the price and the service was substandard. The portions were so small we were joking that they looked like the portions you see in high end gourmet restaurants, only this food lacked the taste. We will never come back again.

We stumbled onto this restaurant when trying to look for a food truck and how lucky were we! Everything was amazing. The food was delicious. The service was great, and the atmosphere was super fun. Already looking forward to when we can come back with friends and family.

The atmosphere on the outside patio is awesome with the fire pits and the tree. My waitress Rosie was nice. The patron margarita's were very good and not short on tequila. I love their regular guacamole with the crumbled cheese on top with cilantro and some slices of radish on a bed of cabbage, to me it's more than regular guacamole. I find it fantastic. The roasted chili salsa is very flavorful. IMO some of the best salsa I've tasted in a very long time. All the food is very good.
