LOISIUM Wine & Spa Resort Langenlois

recently had the pleasure of staying at this amazing property, and it was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the elegance and beauty of the hotel. The atmosphere was incredibly luxurious yet relaxing, allowing me to unwind and enjoy every moment. The food was fantastic – every meal was a delight and exceeded my expectations. What really made this experience unforgettable, though, was the staff. They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. Julia at the front desk was exceptional, always greeting me with a warm smile and making sure all of my needs were taken care of. Mike at the bike shop was equally amazing, offering expert recommendations for bike trails and ensuring that my outdoor adventures were smooth and enjoyable. This was easily one of the most memorable hotel experiences I have ever had, and I can’t wait to return. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a luxurious and relaxing getaway with top-notch service.

Gorgeous place. The hotel itself is beautiful, if not a little too big. We’ve had also amazing experience in the restaurant and the bar - both service and the offer were exceptional. Spa area is cozy, loved the GrüVe bar down there and also two finnish saunas, so you’re able to squeeze in when the hotel is fully booked. That’s the only thing, though: spa can be a really hectic and unpleasant space when fully occupied, quite the contrary what it should be.

What a deception! We have been to the one in Styria, which was much better: service, location, prestation. This one pretends to be luxury but expect the price, the spa and the size of the room, the rest is a not fitting the experience. 1/The waiter at the Vinotheke (big guy with glasses) totally unfriendly, not able to give some recommendation and really close to be unpolite. 2/The wine that you find at the bar or the restaurant could not be found at the vinotheke. 3/ The restaurant offers a basic food for the price you are paying. We spent a dinner at Loim, a Heuriger nearby, which was so much better, friendly service, amazing food, wine tasting for free, and cheaper. 4/ Then cheery on the cake after staying 2 nights, having bought some bottle at the vinotheke, having diner at their restaurant, having renting 2 electrics bikes, we asked to have access to the Wellness after the check-out: You still need to pay 15€ per person. The amont is not huge but it is not what you should expect 5/...and cheery on the cheery on top of the cake, they tell you that the wellness is open only till 18:00 (for no reason because it is open normally till 22:00) Long story short, you don't feel being handle as a customer, but more as a wallet.

We had a disappointing stay at the Loisium Hotel Kamptal. |There was no AC and we couldn't even open the window enough to cool the room. The hotel was aware of the issue but was unable to find a solution over the weekend. It would have been better if they had informed us about the problem during check-in. |Our room for 2 had only one chair and there were no tea and coffee facilities, which are usually standard in a 4* hotel.|(Just saying, we did not really need hot drinks). |The only positive thing was the friendly waiter at breakfast, Georg. |We were sadly not the only ones affected, as our friends and family members also had the same experience, meaning we had a horrible night, in steaming hot rooms …

The view is stunning, but hotel rooms are pretty small. They don't really allow late checkout, so we didn't get to experience their spa or any other facilities. The hotel is located next to wineries. Overall, nice stay. Just wish staff were more accommodating. As I could see they allowed earlier check in to some guests, but no late checkout. Sort of double standards.

If comfort of the rooms and good service matters to you, find somewhere else in Langenlois. There’s a thermostat in the room that’s highly misleading, as it allows you to set the temperature down to 19°C, BUT- surprise, surprise! - the unit in the room only circulates air, it doesn’t cool it. I was told this was due to sustainability reasons, but you can’t sustain a good time here in the summer unless you plan to sweat the entire night while sleeping. The only strong part was the breakfast buffet, but you need to get there early as it fills up fast. Service was lacking. Many of the front desk staff are not particularly friendly nor helpful. I had asked about arranging a taxi to a winery tasting months in advance and told they could take care of it the day of arrival. When I asked, they handed me two business cards and told me to call them myself. The first one they recommended, who they said was a partner of the hotel, had their phone off. Thank goodness was there was a single Uber driver in the region, or we would’ve missed our tasting. We also asked for a top sheet because they only provided blankets (which we wanted no part of considering the complete lack of meaningful climate control) and they just delivered a duvet cover. How is that going to cover two people? The infrared sauna was also broken, which - based on other reviews - was an issue they’ve known about for multiple weeks now. Many tiles are also broken in that area, which is dangerous. At this price point, guests expect more. Several of these themes have been covered in other reviews over the past year, with the hotel responding that they’d work on issues like staff friendliness and attentiveness, broken equipment/tiles, etc. Seems like the ownership/management is too focused on pocketing as much profit as they can to actually do something about it. Lots of empty words. If you’re coming to Langenlois, particularly in the summer, my recommendation is to look elsewhere in the area.

We are family of 2 adults and 2 kids and we had 2 prestige rooms. Totally different rooms. The other one was hotter than hell (room #152). There was some kind of air ventilation machine very near the bed. So, we had to invent something by ourselves on between so that blowing air does not come too hard on your back while you sleep. Rooms got some kind of central air thing but that was ON only at days, but no real functional A/C: resulting very hot room. So, we had to open door to balcony at night to have cooler air come to room. 1st night we couldnt do that because there were staff premises right under our balcony and smoke were coming to room from there. Thanks to helpful young lady at reception, this wasnt problem at last nights. The other room (room #153) was slighly better, most probably because it had sun curtains at outside and it had air ventilation machine in normal place. Anyways, hotel is not cheap and things like functional A/C would be really expected in summer. Breakfast was very good and no lines to coffee machine. Spa/pool section was nice, and it was really nice to have swimming option until 10pm. Langenlois is very nice village but not very many dinner/lunch places nearby. At 1st night we had to eat at hotel expensive lounge bar at spa: very bad value for money for drinks, sandwiches and a burger! ...but the service was nice! Young staff are trying their best but maybe better induction in a check-in would be appreciated! Thanks for the young lady in reception trying to improve our problems!

While this is a tempting concept and location this property absolutely did not meet expectations and went as far as to be among the worst stays I have had in quite some time (as someone who had been to 20 countries). From a booking website that spammed me with requests to register for their newsletter >15 of the same email before I marked it as spam, to receiving no confirmation of the first booking and then having the website timeout which required booking to be submitted a second time. It turns out the first one did go through but I had to dig through the website to find proof of this and the double booking since no confirmation email ever arrived. Now let’s get to the property experience itself. We arrived and checked in to a room that was sloppily cleaned and had smeared fingerprints of previous guests that could be seen on the glass bathroom door, dirty footprints in the shower, and warped, dirty floor boards. For dinner we had preselected the set menu and then were told we could only sit in this one area that then turned out to be right in the middle of a large corporate group that then proceeded to stand over top of our table as they queued for a buffet. Thankfully the nice waiter at least let us escape outside for dessert. Upon checking out there was no one to settle our bill with and when they did email the invoice they were hostile and claimed we stole a hairdryer and glasses?? Beyond disrespectful and I can’t imagine what we would want with these items and can’t believe they jumped to this conclusion rather than their cleaning staff did not do their job.
