"Hailed as the biggest travel-centric bookshop in all of Europe, 30-year-old Altair is an essential stop for slightly less app-obsessed globetrotters. In addition to multi-lingual guides and maps for destinations far and wide, the shelves here are stacked with biographies, memoirs, and specialty tomes on everything from flora to fauna to architecture. Best library for travel books and maps. This is my go-to place whenever I'm planning a trip. They also have a board where you can publish your planned trips in case you want others to join you. A very unique place in Barcelona. Highly recommended

Even though they didn’t have the book I was looking for, the staff member was very kind and helpful. They checked where I could find it and kindly guided me. Many thanks!

Such a great book store in Barcelona and one of the best book store that I have visited in my life.
So many interesting books and lots and lots travel books from Lonely Planet, Rough Guides etc.
Small Moleskine stall with their nice stuff.
Come here if you are into paper books reading.

Wonderful Travel Library.
It has most of the things one need to start roaming the world.
From travel maps to photobooks, from dictionaries to travel guides.
Particularly interesting the nature sections and the fact that for each continent there is also related literature, so one can not only plan a holiday, but also immerse oneself in the culture before even taking off.
If I lived in Barcelona I’d spend here most of my salary.

I was at a meeting of travelers on the 1st floor. after that, we ate delicious snacks, I bought coffee and cake at the cafe. the girl, who does not know English, served me very well, friendly. you can drink coffee and look through a book, then buy it. great.
