Came here first thing on a Sunday morning, surprisingly there was a good flow of customers seeking rice rolls!
We ordered a variety of rice rolls along with century egg porridge for a cold winter morning.
The rice rolls was decent and it does feel hand made though the texture was slightly soft for my liking. Would prefer it with a bit more bite and bounce. The fillings were however very fresh, the prawns, the Chinese donuts are also very nice.
The soy sauce that comes with rice rolls are also on point and perfectly accompanied the rice rolls.
Kids loved the soft texture and couldn’t stop eating it!

Authentic is what I feel when coming into Liyin Rice Roll Master, like I am in a classic restaurant in the heart of Guangzhou.
I was excited to try their freshly made rice rolls as there are not many restaurants that offer these kinds of rice rolls.
The menu was easy to understand with pictures to help you see what you ate about to devour.
We opted for the set menu, that offered more food than we could finish (we took the rest home). No complaints, as the price was decent for the amount of food served.
We chose the Prawn with black truffle and my-oh-my was it to die for. Noodles we soft and fresh, prawns were plenty and everything was cohesive, working well to complimenting each other.
Hubby all but devoured the beef hor fun, not usually what he would order but appreciated how well it was cooked.
Looking for an authentic Cantonese style restaurant, look no further.

Freshly made steamed rice roll that goes nicely with the sauce. You will most likely run out of sauce midway through it, but you can always request for more.
I really liked the plain steamed rice roll, and we also tried it with pork and corn, which surprisingly is not bad.
Food took a while to arrive, as I guess it was prepared fresh. Place started filling up not long after opening, so I guess the taste and quality is good.

This place is the best and freshest place to eat rice flour rolls, and reminds me of my childhood memories chowing down on the succulent, soft, delicate rolls dipped in the sweet soy as a kid when dad would take me out for Yum cha!
I arrived early on a Sunday and avoided the queue and sat down straight away to order Traditional Beef Horfun, Steamed Rice Roll With Black Truffle & Prawn, and steamed plain rice roll with pickle were all incredible. Someone across the table saw the beef horfun and ordered the same noodle dish and agreed it was super delish!
The staff are super friendly and helpful. I ordered way too much, but packed the leftovers with me and was surprised that they were still just as delicious and fresh after a 5-hour flight back to Perth the next day (not that I recommend this for obvious reasons)!😁
I wish I could've tried everything on the menu if I had an extra 3 stomachs but I'll definitely be back every time I'm in Melbourne and is a gem the locals are lucky to have 🫶

Phenomenal authentic traditional cantonese breakfast scene in the centre of Melbourne. The food here is so delicious. Their rice rolls are steamed fresh everyday with your choice of protein. Ive tried their shrimp with black truffles, beef pork and charsiu. All of them tasted incredible and melts in your mouth. Absolutely loved their texture. Definitely a spot I will come back to soon again

I really love the rice rolls here at Liyin rice rolls, I really just wish there was an option to order them without the greens that they put inside. Sometimes I just want rice rolls with my protein. So I end up pulling out the veggies. But I will say that it's one of the better rice rolls have have recently -thin silkly cheong fun with a super flavourful sauce. Which I always need to ask extra for and they happily oblige. Its made to order so they come out piping hot!
My friends porridge was a bit bland but there are lots of condiments and pickles available to add flavour.
I'm keen to try this place again and try their other offerings.

Really nice rice rolls because the skin is thin and the fillings are generous.
The truffle prawn is a must and you need to add the cut chilli 🌶 to have a bit more spice.
The service is fast and the place is pretty busy.

Casual restaurant with Cantonese style steam rice roll as a specialty.
Come for the rice roll (cheung fun) - it is silky and translucent thin. We first tried the plain rice roll with soy sauce ($6.50) - the texture is good, smooth, slight sticky, very slurp-able. The Cha Siu (BBQ Pork) rice roll is a plump parcel, the meat filling is generous with the barely there thin rice toll holding it all together. Very satisfying comfort food.
There are other side dishes that are worth mentioning. Stir fry beef hor fun (rice noodle), straight off the wok is a delight to eat - the glistening hor fun is silky smooth with good seasoning, and the beef tenderised the Cantonese-way. Deep fried chicken drumettes marinated in lam yu are crispy, the meat moist, and has the distinct aromatic "nam yu" that i love. (nam yu 南乳 are cubes of beancurd that has been fermented in red yeast rice and have a distinct aroma and a creamy texture).
Service is fast and friendly.
We returned to try other types of rice roll and congee. The pork liver rice roll ($17.50) is very nice - the liver not overcook, and the rice roll, delicate. The classic pork and century egg congee ($16.80) does not disappoint either - the rice kernels has broken down into a thickish, smooth and nicely flavoured congee.
