"Mustard with Your Coffee? Located in trendy area Grünerløkka, Liebling is a funny mix of German absurdity with a side of hipster. They serve all kinds of coffee and pastries, and the café also doubles as a shop that apparently sells everything from ‘designer lamps, moustache wax, and German mustard’, if their website is to be believed."

We only visited here for a coffee break. However, I still enjoyed our time here both with good coffee coming from Fuglen and absolutely delicious & fresh macaroons. We tried every flavour of the macaroons. My favourites were raspberry, lemon and caramel. I preferred a cortado which was smooth and fine. The decoration was also so beautiful and peaceful. It had a very cozy atmosphere. I definitely would love to visit here once again, this time for breakfast. Note: They also sell a natural gum brand called true gum. I bought the liquorice & eucalyptus flavoured one. It was quite good.

In my continuing or ongoing search for vegan restaurants in Oslo, I came across Liebling or it’s new name Babbocollective. They have a chef that doubles as a DJ playing LP‘s. It’s more vegetarian than vegan, with dishes like “Sourdough bread, cured butter and cheese”, to “Toast with Jerusalem artichoke and cheddar”, from 65-150 NOK or 5-15 Euro. Great tastes, super nice atmosphere and a great addition to the breakfast / lunch option in Oslo! I also appreciated it was actually open in the morning, as opposed to Two Monkeys, and that finding it close to Sannergata /Grünerløkka / Torshov (with bus 31, or tram 12) was a little adventure in itself.

Fast service: 4/5 Friendly service: 2/5 Tasty food: 4/5 Value for money: 2/5 I had high hopes after seeing 4.4 on Google. The place felt a bit empty, and lacked 'soul' - I could feel that there was any thought put into the design, creating a unique atmosphere. The lady working only gave us a half smile and it didn't seem she was tok happy to be there. I was a bit shocked to pay 40 nok for Sunniva orange juice in a glass.

Great location! Quick service, friendly staff. The food (storsulten) was a bit blend and not too exciting, but the neighbours ordered an avocado toast that looked amazing so I think we made the wrong choice. The atmosphere was really good though so will definitely come back for another Sunday brunch if its in the area.

What a quaint café. Delicious food, solid drinks and notably gorg glassware. Plenty of tables and nice bright space. Friendly staff and additional seating outdoors.

Google
A simple café with limited food options. I ordered the dahl-lentil soup and then they stroked it off the menu, meaning that they were out of the soup already by 2 pm on a Saturday. Nothing special/positive to say about the brunch plate... The portions, including the one slice sandwich with cheese, were small for price you pay but the dahl was nice. It was crowded (good sign) and also very loud and all of our chairs were unstable and a bit broken.

Such a cute cafe. Perfect for a brunch with friends and loved ones. The staff is very friendly and the food is yummy. The croissants are ginormous! Would highly recommend for a chill weekend brunch

Yelp
Decided to hit up this spot on a Saturday around 2pm. It turned out to be a good time there was only 1 table available. Though by the time I had received my food the place had filled up again with a line out the door. Liebling is a bit trendy, and has a cool shop attached with some retro items for sale. Which make for great gifts on the fly. Some of the tables in the shop are from old sewing machines, the seats could be from on old school. I ordered a Chai Tea Latte,` the chai was a bit spicy and lacking the sweetness that one expects when ordering this drink. It was also lacking a bit of love in the foam department. Overall, Chai Tea Latte was a swing and a miss in my book. The aftertaste the spices left burning my mouth and missing the sweetness was pretty distasteful. Onto the food, I ordered slice of bread served with hummus, lettuce and cucumbers which was very nicely put together. The hummus was amazing and left me longing for another bite, long after it was gone. I also ordered a slice of bread with avocado spread which was topped with lettuce and cherry tomatoes. This was spread was lack luster but I must say the bread, lettuce and tomato were quite fresh.

Yelp
This place came up pretty high on Yelp when searching for coffee shops In Oslo. So after having just had a coffee elsewhere we decided why not go for another and wandered in here. First impressions were this is more a hipster - bric-à-brac - cafe - bar - card shop - etc - etc. It was quite big with plenty of tables and chairs. It also had a bit of a sun trap which I imagine is lovely during the summer months when you sit outside. Coffee wise they had beans from the barn in Berlin (uber cool roaster), but I went for the only filter they had on the go instead. To be honest the place was ok. The staff acted a bit aloof and did not seek that keen on being very welcoming. They had an array of mismatching gigs for sale and it was a decent place for a coffee, but nothing overly special in my opinion.

Yelp
A feeling of Berlin in Oslo! The café has more than the name from Germany as they offer Fritzl soda and German beer. The place is often full , and during summer you can be super urban and chill outside on the pavement while life passes slowly by. service is good and their snacks too. If hungry, they serve baguettes and sometimes soup. When l miss Berlin, l can go here and l do. ps check out Liebling in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin if you can . Ps discount on coffee if u check in via yelp!

Yelp
Charming and friendly place to hangout with a friend or a book or laptop. They're opened quite late in the evening which is unusual for coffee places. I really enjoyed the hot chocolate which is one of the best in town made with real dark chocolate powder instead of the chocolate sirup other places use sometimes.

Yelp
Right amount of hipsterness, complemented with great food. That feeling hit me as I enter the door - hipster alarm! I'm very prejudiced against establishments with too much style, so I was in high alert while sipping my coffee. I was quickly converted by the excellent food. Bread with hummus, a homemade croissant and a triple chocolate brownie were all delicious. 3 hits out of 3. Food checked, Liebling has everything for a great chill-out cafe. Super-cozy. A laid-back atmosphere to work/relax for hours and not feel rushed, soft background music, interesting decors, free Wi-Fi. It seemed to cater to clientele busy on their MacBooks (there were 8 MacBooks at one time) instead of chatting with each other too loudly. Ah, Generation Y. But! The one thing missing is a perfect COFFEE, which would've been a major no-no for me (this is a cafe, after all). The coffee is good, but not virtuoso barista quality. If you're after a quick shot of fine espresso, and not sit for hours, you might be better off at another coffee specialist. I'm willing to let that slide for now, for all the other features that Liebling got right.

Yelp
The cappuccino was a little milky, the black coffee was a little bland, but the service was really nice. The two girls there were really sweet and had massive smiles on their face. It's a great place to hang out while waiting for a movie at Ringen and they have board games and "Where's Waldo" books, although the place is German and rightfully so they have "Wo ist Walter". The food looked yummy and I can't wait to go back and try it one day. The atmosphere is really laid back as are the people that come here. The little shop here seems to have a lot of imported weird "dust collectors" from Germany, but it is still neat to look at even if I would never buy anything. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
This place is great! It does fill up with hipsters on their laptops enjoying the wifi but it's adorable and they make a excellent cup of coffee. So I'll be back soon!

Yelp
Went there for brunch on a Sunday. The place is usuallly crowded, but this time the service was very slow. We were 5 people and 4 got the food almost at the same time. After more than 30 minutes without food, when I asked for the order they told me it would take at least 30 minutes to get it. I told them I had already waited 30 minutes so then they said ok, we will do it now. No excuse, no discount, no customer service. The fact they are understaffed during the weekend should not affect the way customers are treated. The food itself is good, but the price is high for what it's offered. Will stick to coffee next time, they are much better in that category.

Yelp
I LOVE this cafe. Free wifi not withstanding, I love the cozy atmosphere of this place, and the fact that the cappuccino is excellent! It's a great place to meet up with a friend for coffee, or if you have a lot of work to do, to get a table by the window and settle in for a couple of hours. There are some good sandwiches too, for the hungry.

Yelp
I only had a beer there, because I came to see a concert by Flunk, but it seemed like a very cozy cafe with a lot of friendly people.

Yelp
Cute spot on a quiet, residential street. Sandwich and yogurt were tasty. Latte was okay.

Yelp
Chill-out cafe to have a quick coffee and snack. Perfect for some laptop time. Decorated with sofas and soft music in the background.
