"Like its older sister Ruby, Lidkoeb, situated in an old pharmacy production facility with a courtyard, turns out clever and delicious cocktails. But with Chesterfield sofas and roaring fireplaces, this tri-level bar in Vesterbro has a more brazen streak that perfectly matches the neighborhood’s edgy spirit. Despite Lidkoeb's high-energy vibes, the bartenders remain focused on quickly turning out cocktails, like an Old Fashioned with peanut-butter-fat–washed bourbon and banana syrup." - Alia Akkam

Very classic cocktail bar with a lot of good things to try. The atmosphere is superb and staffs are friendly. I spent my first amazing night in Copenhagen at the Lidkoeb until quite late night, it made my good memories of 🇩🇰 This bar would absolutely be my home bar if I am based in Copenhagen!

My wife and I dropped by this place with 8 family members and friends a Thursday evening. They had no room for a large party like us inside, but we got seated in the glasses and covered patio section with heaters. Which was very fine. This place makes incredible cocktails - very exiting and tasty. A bit expensive - but fair I guess taking into account taste and combinations. Definitely a place to visit for cocktails.

Lidkoeb is an absolute gem in Denmark for cocktail lovers. I had a Whisky Sour and an Amaretto Sour, and both were amazing—perfectly balanced, smooth, and crafted with skill. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients and the expertise behind the bar. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. They were attentive without being intrusive, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The vibe at Lidkoeb is incredibly chill—a perfect spot to unwind, whether you’re catching up with friends or just enjoying a quiet, well-made cocktail. The cozy setting, combined with the great service and expertly mixed drinks, makes this bar a must-visit. Highly recommend,

Great atmosphere in this place. We spent a great time after the half marathon. Cocktails were good. But everything was served very slowly Other was good

What a genuine and fantastic place! We have been at the third floor, where the whiskey bar is. Atmosphere was fantastic, great collection of whiskeys and really good cocktails - would absolutely recommend for whiskey lovers 🤩!

Down an alley off of a main street in Copenhagen is a cocktail bar that's more of an oasis. My buddy and I arrived at 6pm on a Sunday evening, just in time for the bartender to open the giant gates to the outdoor patio. We walked inside and sat at a large booth table. Here's our experience: 1) Cocktails: The menu is only two pages, but each cocktail is quality. Having a sweet tooth, I ordered the R&R with Roe and Company whiskey, rhubarb liqueur, raspberries, lemon and sugar. I can honestly say it's the best cocktail I've ever have. Even with a price tag of $20, I almost ordered another, because of how balanced it was made. 2) Space: It's down an alley. Enough said. The outdoor patio and the inside space are simple, but well designed. 3) Service: It's superb- attentive, fast and friendly. If you have any questions, the bartender will guide you through the menu.

Lidkoeb is an absolute hidden gem in Copenhagen! We had an amazing experience sipping champagne by the cozy fireplace, which added such a warm and intimate touch to the evening. Although the place was packed, the staff went above and beyond, allowing us to wait comfortably in an allocated building and promptly letting us in when space became available. Their professionalism and friendliness made the experience even better. Highly recommend checking out this spot for its unique vibe, fantastic service, and unforgettable atmosphere.

Yelp
Located in a private alleyway, this bar was filled with locals inside and out. The workers were very friendly and attentive to us, even with the large amount of people in the bar. They made sure we were comfortable. Libkoeb is a great place to sit down, relax, socialize, and have a drink. The drinks we ordered were good. We would definitely come here again!

Yelp
This place is so hard to find but well worth it. It's very nice in ambiance and just like a high end cocktail bar but also just moody. I cant even explain it... it was just perfect! The drinks are a little more expensive than other places we went to but we're made by amazing bartenders. They really know what they are doing. We just got a simple charcuterie and it was great, you can't get a bad charcuterie board in Europe. Honestly the best part of the place is speaking to the bartenders from all around and enjoying the space you are in. I would come back in a minute for a drink and good time.

Yelp
This place was GREAT! A true vibe. I had a few beers there that were decent, and customer service was amazing. Add to that the ambiance of the place and it was love. I'll definitely return if I ever visit Copenhagen again, and if I was a local resident, I'd be at this spot ALL THE TIME!

Yelp
I love this bar. My husband and I can walk there from our apartment and usually get here every few weeks for a great cocktail and fun ambiance. The bartenders have all been really friendly and attentive on every visit. Their is an amazing whisky bar on the top floor that is super cool, definitely go up and check it out. I would definitely recommend this bar to anyone visiting Copenhagen or if you're a local.

Yelp
Wife and I somehow found this gem hidden down an alley off the main road. Bellied up to the bar on the Ground Floor. Bartenders were super friendly, knowledgeable, helpful on suggestions for places to go, and made the only decent Old Fashioned I had during our stay in Copenhagen! In fact it was more than decent, it was delicious. Ordered a couple other drinks off the cocktail menu that were also superb. The bartenders were so nice they added an extra charge to our bill and gave it back to us in Krone at our request, as I like to bring foreign money back for my niece. We messed up the tip at the end though...trying to convert after a few cocktails proved challenging and we didn't leave them as much as we wanted to and felt bad after once we left and figured it out...apologies to the two wonderful female bartenders who served us. Highly recommend.

Yelp
TL/DR: One of my favorite cocktail bars on the planet. We visited late on a Saturday afternoon in October. Nice, chill, conversational vibe. (I've read that it gets much busier later, unsurprisingly.) The fireplace was warming and "Sure Shot" and "Shoop" were on the playlist. Friendly staff and a truly excellent cocktail menu. I loved my Østersø Cola, to the point of it being an all-time favorite cocktail. It helps if you like salty black licorice, but if you don't, what are you doing in Denmark in the first place? We liked Lidkoeb so much we were almost late for our dinner reservation at Spuntino, which I'll review next.

Yelp
I popped by late on a Wednesday evening and only the ground floor was open (I believe they have three floors and outdoor seating). If there aren't people out on the patio, it's a little hard to find, but that also makes it that much more rewarding to uncover, too! Ambiance felt more like a gastropub than a cocktail bar, but I had no expectations going into it, so either one would have been fine with me. The menu's got it all, from cocktails to wine to beer, with some snacks to boot. I sat down and indulged in a Hyggelig Martini (110dkk), because, Copenhagen. It was a smooth, classic-ish cocktail with a flavor that perfectly matched its description ("A proper martini in a wetter style. A boozy, liquid interpretation of a very Danish word: Hygge."). The only thing I wasn't prepared for was the Star of Anise garnish (not a fan), but thankfully it didn't soil the experience for me. It was towards closing hours and the staff was attentive, but in the midst of closing down and less warm, friendly than I experienced at other places.

Stephen H.

Yelp
"It's only whiskey and whiskey cocktails up here, is that all right?" the bartender asked. About 75 percent of those who wandered to the top floor of the 3-floor Lidkoeb opted not to stay. "Are people really that lame?" I wondered, as I slowly sipped on one of my three glasses of whiskey. I had ordered an Islay "journey" (what we in America might call a "flight") and was taking to the smoky peaty north of Scotland. The bar up here is dedicated to Whiskey of all kinds and half of the bartenders were sporting genuine Scottish accents, so it seems that the owner takes every part of the atmosphere (including the wood paneling, almost encasing all of us inside an aging barrel) quite seriously. Worth a visit, even if you aren't a whiskey drinker...yet. h/t to the NY Times who featured this in their 36 hours in Copenhagen video.

Yelp
Argh, why Yelp do you choose to merge entries without reading the damn review? This is for a separate entity within Lidkoeb. It has its own operating hours and does it's own alcohol program. Look here: https://twitter.com/LidkoebWhisky Please quit messing with my reviews! ---------------------------------------------------- Many people who enjoy the nightlife in COpenhagen know about Lidkoeb and its sister bar Ruby. What recently opened that not many people may know about the Whisky Bar. On the very top floor of Lidkoeb's hidden building is another space where only Whisky drinks are made. Also it's only open on the weekends so you have to plan accordingly. It's way more mellow than the main bar on weekends and it's a slice of specificity. Got some of my favorite Pappy & Van Winkle drinks plus a great whiskey that i aged for 20 years normally and 1 year in a rum cask. Super smooth. The two guys running the bar are awesome and made us feel at home. A cool concept in an already great bar.

Jared M.

Yelp
Overall I really enjoyed this cocktail bar. It's filled with a library like atmosphere and the bartenders are more knowledgeable about the cocktails here than I've seen almost anywhere else and also more creative. I mentioned I didn't like something in a drink and they swapped things out for me to make it a better drink for my palette and it turned out extremely well.

Darren B.

Yelp
I really enjoyed Lidkoeb. I like how it's tucked away from the street and has a bit of a secluded feel. I liked the bartender. He was nice and knowledgable. I like the variety of their drinks which change seasonally. I got their Papirflyveren (off menu) and Jordnødde Oldfashioned cocktails. Both were good, but I was a little disappointed in the Jordnødde Oldfashioned. It was described to me how natural peanut butter and banana flavors are infused into this cocktail, but they could be hardly tasted in the actual drink. It did come with dried bananas, but it didn't taste as interesting or different as it sounded. They have both inside and outside seating. I probably prefer the inside as it is a little more intimate, but the outside is nice should it be too packed inside. Fortunately, I came on a relatively quiet night.

Yelp
*Only reviewing the whisky/whiskey/bourbon bar on the top floor* Down an alley, on the top floor of an old pharmacy (apotek) you'll find this cosy, hyggelig bar. The ambiance feels like an updated old pub from revolutionary times (US here) with exposed wooden beams, an open fireplace, and old time ledgers strewn about. The chairs and couches are large and comfy, but expect to share a couch with others during busier times if you're a small group. The bathrooms are very clean! And there's one on each floor. Don't come here for a quick drink, come to linger. The service is slow, but friendly and sincere. They really want you to enjoy your drink and your experience. For drinks, there are many whiskeys by the glass or a variety of flights exploring different varieties (whisky, whiskey, bourbon, peat varieties, discontinued) and an assortment of interesting whiskey cocktails plus the classics (old fashioned, mint julip, etc.). A cocktail will set you back between 100-150DK, but you can also pay to switch out the brand of alcohol in any cocktail - changing the price. We started our night elsewhere so we opted out of the flights and went for the cocktails. The smoky twist on a dark and stormy was intriguing- the smoke coming from the whisky choice, but nothing super unique. Our favorite was the prohibition era cocktail - Irish Clover. It had a lovely sweetness and drinkability and the top of the foam was almost crystallized.

Yelp
Vibes were immaculate. Very cozy, great beer selection and fireplaces inside and outside. Would highly recommend

Yelp
Lidkoeb is an excellent artisan cocktail bar with a unique upstairs bar area. Unfortunately, upstairs was closed when we were in town. I ordered the Jordnodde Oldfashioned, which is a twist to the American traditional Oldfashioned and contains peanut butter fat-washed Four Roses Single Barrel bourbon, banana syrup, and bitters. I will definitely try to duplicate this at home. This is a type of bar that I would come to with friends on the regular any time of the week for tasty cocktails.

Yelp
Lidkoeb is a place I've been multiple times. Usually I go there during the weekends to get my pregame on. It's not really a place I would stay all night, but a few hours could easily be spent there. The location is a little hidden, which makes it feel like a secret gem. Take the first narrow passageway on the right side of Føtex on Vesterbrogade, and you'll get to unlock a great night with tasty cocktails. The cocktails, bartenders, service, atmosphere and location is flawless. I always feel very comfortable and almost like home when I'm there (might be caused by their fireplace). They have the entire building, which means they have three levels to enjoy your conversations and drinks. Though the bottom floor can get quite noisy when it's full. I always tend to forget how the second floor looks like (might be because I'm too buzzed) so lets head on to the top floor. The third floor is really awesome, it's a whiskey/bourbon room. It's been decorated as if you stepped into a timecapsel circa "madmen". Their restrooms are always very clean, and it serious smells like a summerdream in there. They have a good selection of cocktails, but if you find nothing to your tasting, it's possible to order off menu. They also offer beers, champagne and wine. I've had so many different drinks here, and I recall all of them being delicious. So why would I only rate it three stars after only giving positive feedback on everything? Well the things is, I consider myself as being a person who's aware as to what I pay for, and what I get in return. Lately the prices on cocktails have gone up, they are now all around 100 kroner per drink, compared to around a couple months ago they were on average 85 kroner. The cocktail size you get at Lidkoeb are very modest. I do have an understanding for businesses having the need to raise their prices every now and then. But with this increase, I do not feel like I'm getting what my money is worth anymore. Will I ever go back? Yes! Definitely, but maybe I'll just settled for ONE drink.

Cooper R.

Yelp
An utter gem. Come for the drinks and understated vibe, stay for the incredible bar staff. This is one of the most phenomenal bar programs I have ever experienced. The quality of cocktail craftsmanship and flavor innovation is off-the-charts. Even more impressive are the bartenders. Louie and Edoardo absolutely made my night with their flawless cocktails, incredible conversation, and engagement. I've never felt my cocktail experience so cultivated or cared for as by Denise a few nights earlier, when her and Cassie turned a Monday night on its head with a series of extraordinary concoctions. Thank you, Lidkoeb. You are everything that a bar can and should be.

Edmond T.

Yelp
Great local spot for gourmet well made cocktails - great vibe, went on a Monday night still pretty vibrant - must be a hot spot when it gets busier. Could be a bit harder to find but worth the effort!

Luca R.

Yelp
Why don't you like Lidkoeb? Even Tarquin likes Lidkoeb. Louis Hede likes Lidkoeb. So why don't you like Lidkoeb?

Jin Hong K.

Yelp
This is a bar to remember. Everyone will always have their own personal experiences at bars but the amazing drinks, staff, and interior space made my evening that much better. Ask for their whiskey based recommendations and they wont disappoint. Ask if you can see the whiskey bar on the attic (when they're not too busy) and they might give you a small tour and will follow up to bring you some of their best whiskey for you. It was definitely one of the best nights I've had in copenhagen and will definitely look forward to coming back here. Thanks Lidkoeb!

Ash S.

Yelp
Creative and genuine. US Americans will love!!!This bar was a find from a friend, we loved everything about it. The decor is cozy and warm with a knowledge staff. We came back on a Friday just before our returning flight for the whiskey bar which is only open weekend. They have rarer whiskeys that are hard finds in the US, so we had the top shelf whiskey flight. Only there once right?! Absolutely Wonderful.

Yelp
Lidkoeb simply does everything right. Let's go through it all: 1) I made a reservation hat I had to cancel. I wrote a - if I have to say it myself - pretty funny cancellation e-mail, and the reply was personable and friendly as well. Top sauce! 2) Their drinks are so delish. Too delish actually because, man, did I have a headache the next day! Especially the Østersø Cola was freaking great. I could order ten of these and never get tired of the magnificent taste - and aftertaste! Mmmm!!! 3) In summer they have a garden you can sit in and it makes for a perfectly transcendent evening. Big city romance in all its glory. But this is the most meaningful compliment: I went to Lidkoeb because I was all sad and stuff about a boy. After spending two hours there, I forgot him! Oh, the magic of good company, drinks and a damn fine cocktail bar.

Kitt P.

Yelp
A really nice cocktail place, nice atmosphere excellent service and good drinks - a whole menu of drinks I've never heard of before... Exciting. Went with 10 colleagues and we got there early (8 pm) and managed to get a table... Half an hour later is was really crowded. We order different drinks and everyone was pleased. They forgot one of the drinks and for the inconvenience they gave it for free. Even though we ordered different drinks several times there was no problem with service (except from the one missing drink) or payment. Only negative thing: It was damn hot and the sofas was with plastic cover which sure is very hygienic but we all were laughing when we stood up and left - everyone had really sweaty thighs and asses

Mirja B.

Yelp
Always a good decision to visit Lidkoeb- amazing cocktails and friendly staff. On more crowded nights they have a full 3 floors to play on - loud party on first floor, medium loud bar level on second and cozy quite time in the whiskey bar on third. Oh - and the outside patio with colorful lights - yah! I wish they served more filling snacks but other than that - the place is perfect.

Filip H.

Yelp
Ok hands down my favorite place to go for drinks in CPH. The two bottom floors have great cocktails when in a party mood, but it is the top floor where things get serious. The whisky bar with its excellent menu, open fire place and spinning vinyls makes me only think of one word: NIRVANA. A by on the pricy side for whisky's but the atmosphere is worth every penny. Bring your favorite folks and discuss life's big questions over a couple of dram's.

Cindy R.

Yelp
Very recommended by a sommelier friend of us and apparently run by ex Ruby's bartenders, so we knew the booze was going to be stellar. Located on a main street, it's reachable through an undisclosed courtyard... easy to miss if you don't know what you are looking for. The air of secrecy makes Lidkoeb feel like entering a clandestine speakeasy, and will make you look über-cool among the lucky friends you might be bringing with you. During summer you can sit by the courtyard, but the ambiance inside is so cozy it is entirely possible you may not want to: open-plan bar, sheepskins, dim strategic lightning, fireplace and that sort of thing. The cocktail selection is fantastic. If like me you like it dark and smokey there will be plenty of bourbon cocktails on the menu to tick your fancy. I cannot recommend the mezcal drink of their creation enough. Good stuff! If, on the other hand, you like fancy little paper umbrellas (like ehem, my guy) worry not, there are also plenty of tropical and fruity concoctions that will keep your taste buds safe and sound and your drinking muscles properly lubricated. DISCLAIMER: I have never seen a mini umbrella within on premises nor I believe the good folks at Lidkoeb will actually bring you one. It only used for literary purposes. Last but not least: do not let this bar's apparent secrecy fool you into thinking you will speed through the entrance. Weekend nights there is a loooong queue after 9 pm.

Rachel R.

Yelp
It seems like you can't go wrong with this spot! The whiskey bar on the top floor was closed for a private event so we only got a peek at it, but the collection of bottles was impressive and the atmosphere was dark and manly and very inviting. The other two floors have a very inventive cocktail menu - some very unexpected combos like rum and popcorn, which sounds terrible but was a fantastic dessert drink. There's table service inside (not sure about the garden) so that's nice. The staff was all very friendly to us. A little on the loud side, but we could still hear each other without shouting. Definitely a fun spot that;s a bit of a trick to find - look for signs and walk through the parking lot and you'll get there!

Antesa J.

Yelp
I'm not sure what it is about Friday nights, cocktail bars in Copenhagen, and pretentious people, but if you're looking for a combination of all three, Lidkoeb is your place (though a bit classier than Zefside, and a bit less exclusive than Ruby, you generally have the same crowds of people at all three). Generally speaking I'd say this place is totally overrated. Let me break it down for you: the cocktails here are actually quite delicious. But it takes about 30 minutes to get one drink, you have to stand in line to get in to begin with, people in the bar are unwilling and/or uninterested in sharing space so you don't have to stand on top of each other, even if there's room, and the prices are, as one might expect, about on par with CPH cocktail prices (125kr/cocktail), which in my eyes is way too much money to be spending for essentially one shot of alcohol. Pro-tip: I can think of at least five other places in the area I'd rather go to in order to consume adult beverages, but if you absolutely must, I recommend going to Lidkoeb at non-rushhour times (ie, after work from 5-10pm on weekdays).

Mark D.

Yelp
If you love cocktails this place has an amazing selection. The Nordic cocktails are a true twist on classics that are nothing short than heaven in a cup. Not for everyone I am sure but for sure there is something for everyone here. Pick up a bowl of pork crackling that comes with a berry dip and you're set! The decor is comfortable and warm and the bar staff have a passion and a talent for what they love. So far one of the best cocktail bars I have visited in Copenhagen. PS great Pilsner too

Michelle E.

Yelp
Like some others have pointed out...this place USED to be my favorite place because it was more hidden, and one of those places you needed to know was there to go to. My girlfriends and I love to rock up in the afternoons on the weekends and grab ''our favorite table'' and just try the latest creations. Sadly though, in my opinion, they have sold out by writing in huge letters LIDKOEB on the wall of the corridor leading to this place, so now everyone knows. HUGE bummer. That's why this place doesn't get five stars. However, it is me and my friend's spot with a great interior and awesome cocktails that are seasonal. The outdoor tables and garden is very hyggelig, and their concept is really solid. I am writing this to give credit, but I would be lying if I said ''Go here" because frankly, I don't want you encroaching on my favorite bar :)

Ellisiv B.

Yelp
The choice for a little pre-party drink fell on Lidkoeb because of its close proximity to Vega and this evening's "Party like Gatsby" event. The choice seemed to be a very wise one, seeing as Lidkoeb has the right old-school atmosphere that we were looking for this fine November evening. Usually I'm more of a beer lover, but this night we were feeling fancy. Drinks had to be had! It took a while getting the bartender's attention, even though he didn't seem too busy. Once attention was gotten, though, he was very friendly (even though he spoke English to us, something we find a bit silly, being Norwegian and all.. Yes, I know I'm writing in English) and served me a lovely drink called "Hvid og rød". My friend asked for something not too sweet or fruity and seemed pleased with her choice. Third friend was content with a glass of red wine. I get the impression, though, that this is a place you visit for drinks. The clientele was quite mature and classy (I'm in my mid-twenties and felt a little young here, but sometimes that's nice too). It's not the type of bar you get hammered in and start hitting on your bar neighbor, even though some people still did. Lidkoeb gets a big plus for playing decent rock music like Led Zeppelin. I'm not too sure about how well it goes with the more "elegant" mood that they seem to be going for otherwise, though. A plus is also given for their cosy backyard, which surely must be awesome during those lovely summer nights when you want to stay outside as much as possible. All in all, if you're looking for drinks, good music and a classy atmosphere, Lidkoeb might just be the place for you.

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Well this place is literally hidden. You would never find it if you wouldn't know it exists. And I love these not so obvious places. It is on a small hidden backyard on vesterbrogade. The bar is on two floors and is a bit different in between the two. Downstairs it is more lit, the interior is more warm and has slightly louder music. Upstairs it's more dark and a bit more relaxed. Generally speaking the place is quite chic with a hint of an industrial interior. Loved the combo. However the drinks in my case were a bit disappointing. My friend got a rosé wine which was obviously gone bad as it tasted a bit like vinegar. I got a cocktail which was ok but it did not amaze me. Moreover alcohol wise it was a bit light. It was the only drink with rum, don't remember the exact name. All the cocktails were over 110dkk which I think is a bit overpriced. Also it took a long while to get them as the same bartender was making cocktails for table service and for the bar. In my opinion it would be more logical to have one bartender making only cocktails for table service in order not to confuse the guests. Because even though we had ordered, he was making drinks for someone else, for the table service. What was also surprising was that when we got out at 24:00 there was a line but the place was getting empty, which was one of the reasons we left. A policy of keeping a line? Apart from all that, it is a very nice place and has a good crowd. It seemed it was mostly late 20s and 30s and smartly dressed people. It is a good place to start the night with, as at around 12 it gets empty. I would definitely go back but maybe next time I would get a beer instead, which surely can't go wrong! And would try to go before early to avoid lines.

Jason s.

Yelp
You know, this place is fine. But just fine, nothing special. Service is near terrible and the drinks are super weak (i even ordered the strong ones!) Ended up bailing and going to Duck & Cover right across the street; best decision i made all trip.

Suzanna C.

Yelp
This was a great experience. We were recommended to go there by the folks at Mikkeller Bar (also highly recommended if you like great beers), and they were right. Maybe we were lucky, or maybe nobody goes out on Mondays, but we had no wait at all. Before Denmark we were in NYC, where we went to some of Manhattan & Brooklyn's best cocktail bars (in between getting actual work done). I happily recommend Lidkøb as a Copenhagen alternative. If you want people who know about cocktails and can make high-quality mixed drinks, this is for you. As others have noted, they can make you great cocktails whether you want boozy & bitter, light & fruity, or somewhere in between. Between the three of us we had all types, and were pleased. If you want to drink shots, this is not the place. It's also not the place to go if you want to sip a super-rare Italian amaro or American whiskey, but they do have good examples of both and use them well in the cocktails. We sat at the bar, and they treated us wonderfully. That's what brought it from four stars to five. If I were a better person I would remember the name of the bartender who served us and the one assisting, because they were both great. Thanks!

Sally K.

Yelp
The last few times I've wanted to pop by I was discouraged by the monsterous line outside the bar. So, since the cat's out of the bag and this isn't my little secret gem anymore I might just as well spill the beans. I LOVE this place! Yummi (!) cocktails, great decor, amazing cocktails, fab ambience, mindblowing cocktails, super friendly staff - I just love this place. It's apparently the same crew as Ruby's so expect the same amazing care and dedication going into making the cocktails. But this place has a better vibe. It's located on vesterbrogade, hidden in a backyard. It's already lined up for outdoor cocktail chic-fun which is another good reason to look forward to summer!

Yelp
The most wonderfull cocktail bar, not as all the others, decorated in a true gentlemen style! With old chesterfield couches, chairs and an open fireplace! The cocktails are amazing, and not the traditional cocktails you can get everywhere else! The snacks they offer are also kept in a true gentleman style.. Can only recommend this place, you just have to find it first :)

Yelp
Fun, fun fun place for a drink with friends! They are very friendly. And the drinks are quite creative. Of course everywhere....and I mean everywhere you looked, folks are attractive here! Great bar - definitely will return!

Yelp
I am being told by friends that this not-so-much-anymore-secret bar was really the place to discover 2-3 years ago (or probably even before - my friends are not that hip and while not as behind as me still behind). But I only discovered it now and have to admit I am a fan. We were there on a Sunday evening where the city can otherwise feel a bit empty, closed, and (on a January evening) cold and dark too. And while not completely full there were still enough people so that we did not feel alone (at all) and combined with the lit fire place and the décor and ambience of the place this was the embodiment of "hygge" with the twist that good and well prepared cocktails add. This place is not a classic of Vesterbro and not particularly old, but you forget that as soon as you step inside, and nothing seems forced or fake in that way you sometimes feel when you walk in to an "Irish" pub anywhere in the world. I imagine this place can be quite packed on a Friday or Saturday and I am being told there are even three floors (only the bottom one was open this Sunday). But for a Sunday evening this was really a good way to end the week with a drink. The cocktails were excellent and the pre-defined menu elaborate and very creative. However, the whole place, as well as the thick leather aprons warn by the staff indicates that whatever you want they can make it. The staff was also incredibly friendly giving advice and taking feedback on your experiences making sure to recommend something appropriate for your taste for the next cocktail.

Yelp
First of all, this little gem is not easy to find. Down an alley, off the street next to Fotex it opens very quickly to an adorable courtyard. Though we, as inhabitants from much closer to the equator, felt it was too cold to sit outside; it was clear that tables and candles were set up. The first day we were the first customers of the evening. Greeted warmly by the bartender we were offered excellent suggestions from the menu. Our conversation with the bartender ranged from the number of hours of sunlight during the shortest day of the year to the quality of country music being pumped out in the lower level. We found this first floor to be a charming representation of the style of bar we had found elsewhere in Copenhagen. Enjoying ourselves so much we came back for me a couple nights later. Decided we had definitely leveled-up we went to the second floor. This area is a little more intimate, but to our disappointment has the same cocktail menu. It was also a bit crowded and loud. Finally we decided to go to the third and final floor. I cannot tell you anything about this floor. There was a chain to keep us out, but people (and empty seats) on the other side. Neither of the staff even talked to us during the 20 minutes we stood waiting. A 20 minute wait for something good is no big thing, but 20 minutes without anyone even telling you where you stand or if you are doing it wrong is ridiculous. The first floor was so amazing that it balanced out how ridiculously terrible our experience with the third floor was.

Yelp
This is hands down the best cocktail bar in Copenhagen. The drinks are awesome, the staff is friendly and cool, and the three floors have been laid out to accommodate different needs. Ground floor (my fav) sports smaller groups and landing zone for the bar - super dynamic. 1st floor is for bigger groups and the whiskey lounge is for deep chill. The soundtrack is an eclectic mix of old and new, different genres, so no one will feel ashamed - at least not for very long. It's just a great spot :)

Yelp
Great cocktails and atmosphere. The staff is very friendly. Table reservation is recommended if you plan to sit down.

Yelp
This place is fantastic!!!!! By far one of the BEST whiskey joints I've ever visited and I love whiskey!!! The crowd was a tad young for my taste and not as sophisticated as the bar is but still go and enjoy the mixologists craft, they know what they're doing. Quaint spot, wish I could have a bar like this back home

Yelp
Outstanding whiskey selection and very attentive/helpful staff. A little tough to find off the street but well worth the search. 5 stars.

Yelp
Like it. Good vibes. Pretty hyggelit. Good drinks. Not necessarily anything to write home about. But definitely a good place for a late night drink! Not to mention a damn good espresso martini.

Yelp
yeah, so the cocktails are expensive and the bartenders all look like models, but i love this slightly hidden place! we took advantage of the mild fall weather and sat outside under the rainbow-coloured fairy lights instead of yelling over the loud music indoors. the drinks take a while to make but you can see and taste the time and effort that goes into them. my first drink was the daquiri with black- and redcurrants, even garnished with a little sprig of fresh redcurrants; the flavour was of course sweet but with just enough of a sour and bitter finish to make things interesting. the håndslag, besides having a very odd name, was even more fascinating with a base of pineapple, lime, and cachaca and a finish of celery! i am not a fan of that vegetable but it was just a hint, not overpowering at all, even though the drink was garnished with a large celery stick. the bartenders were nice and so were the servers. another thing i appreciated was after 10pm i saw the doorman (and doorwoman) chatting with people who were waiting in line to get in and even coming over to louder patrons to have a word with them. they seemed professional and friendly, not big bullies as i've experienced with some other venues. they kept the vibe fun but under control. i can't wait to come back here!

Yelp
Hidden in the backhard of a building block is the old pharmacy that is home to a vibrant cocktail bar in trendy Vesterbro. On two floors, waiters will produce fancy and costly drinks. Great to continue the night after a dinner in Vesterbro.

Mister Chao ..

Yelp
Mister Chao says DO NOT COME TO THIS BAR. Mister Chao has been to hundreds for bars in over 40 countries. The Asian bartender woman is by far the worst service and attitude Mister Chao has ever encountered. Until she is gone, Mister Chao recommends DO NOT COME TO THIS BAR. Everyone else is good, ambience is nice, and the drinks are okay.

Yelp
This place is cute and cozy with tasty drinks. The bartenders were very nice. I snacked on the pig skin crips which were crunchy and delicious, but this place definitely isn't putting extra effort into really good bar bites.

Yelp
We ended up here barhopping with locals. They told us that if you wanted the best cocktail in Copenhagen you had to come here and they were right. it was jam packed and did take a while to get our drinks but they were turning them out fresh and once you got them they were great. It was a very hipster-type crowd and everyone was friendly. It is close quarters so be ready to cram into a booth with people you don't know. Lots of fun for an experience in this town. Give it a shot and make some new friends.
